On Saturday Night, June 28, Goose delivered yet another definitive statement of arrival, etching their name into history with a triumphant headlining debut at a sold-out Madison Square Garden. The Connecticut-bred quartet crafted a 4+ hour, career-spanning opus at the "World’s Most Famous Arena,” firmly establishing their legacy among the next generation of jam-rock innovators.
Shattering expectations almost immediately, Goose opened set one with "Factory Fiction" — a complex, emotionally charged epic typically reserved for climactic encores. The bold choice was both a thoughtful wink to the band’s passionate cognoscenti and a warm welcome to newcomers. Approaching the evening with patience, the band traipsed through their signature tension-building before erupting into symphonic catharsis. Arena-rock anthem "Hungersite" followed, its jam blooming into ethereal minor-key introspection before pivoting to the frenetic thump of "My Mind Has Been Consumed By Media," driven by Cotter Ellis on lead vocals.

The set’s heartbeat then slowed for the ruminative "A Western Sun", its delicate melody deconstructed into a revelatory cover of Kate Bush’s "Running Up That Hill.” The anthemic top 10 Triple-A "Give It Time,” recently released single from the acclaimed studio record Everything Must Go, ignited a deafening singalong, before the album’s horn section (Stuart Bogie, Dave Nelson, Andrew McGovern) took the stage, elevating the subsequent trio of selections from the album: the dance-floor frenzy of "Feel It Now,” the gritty funk of "Dustin Hoffman," and the euphoric "Animal" climax.

Set Two plunged into the swamp-funk depths of "Thatch," stretching its legs across expansive improvisational terrain. "Red Bird" emerged next, its exploratory jam crystallizing into a soul-shaking disco sermon– Harold Melvin & The Blue Notes’ "Don’t Leave Me This Way.” "Tumble”, easily the night’s improvisational apex, arrived next, warped through cosmic jazz textures before detonating into a dissonant, distortion-driven fury. The pulsing four-on-the-floor stylings of "Creatures” came next, with Goose carrying the uptempo energy directly into Otis Day and the Nights’ party anthem "Shama Lama Ding Dong.” The band then unearthed "Jed Stone,” a venerated Mitarotonda-penned relic predating Goose itself. The unfinished thunder of "Dripfield" sealed the set.

Following a brief break, Goose returned to the stage, with Anspach taking a moment to thank the legions of fans and followers integral to the band’s journey. After acknowledging the band had exceeded the venue’s curfew, Anspach invited the crowd to “hang out for a while,” and Goose charged ahead, exceeding 4 total hours on stage. Goose and the Everything Must Go horn section then dove into “Arcadia,” with Bogie’s sax lines weaving into the song’s DNA, scaling it naturally to the arena’s dimensions. Closing a milestone show with the song that first hinted at the band’s potential, the journey from Connecticut bars to MSG’s venerated stage echoed in each note.

Goose concluded their Everything Must Go summer tour last night, with a home-state performance at New Haven, CT's Westville Music Bowl. Upcoming months will see Goose making an additional array of top-billed festival appearances, including Newport, RI’s Newport Folk Festival (July 25), Park City, UT’s Park City Song Summit (August 14-16), Fredericton, NB’s Harvest Music Festival (September 12), and Live Oak, FL’s Suwanee Hulaween (October 30-November 2). In addition, Goose will join Dave Matthews Band as special guest on the closing night of his three-show run at George, WA’s The Gorge Amphitheatre on Sunday, August 31.

Jewels Gold signs to TikTok’s SoundOn, Announces "Starry Eyes" Single for July 11th I New EP Out This Fall
Announces New Single "Starry Eyes" Out July 11th
EP Out Fall 2025

Presave
Today, rising singer-songwriter Jewels Gold announced directly to her vast online following that she has signed to TikTok's music division SoundOn. "It feels incredibly full circle after years of pouring my heart into building a community online and sharing my music, to now be partnering with TikTok, the very platform that’s been such a big part of my journey. I’m beyond grateful for the support and this surreal opportunity to take things to the next level.”
She's also shared that her debut single on the label, “Starry Eyes," will be released on July 11th. “If you’ve ever had your heart broken, you know how hard it can be to trust someone again and open up," Gold says of the upcoming track. "When a relationship that you thought would last forever suddenly ends, it can make you doubt if it was ever real. Some people think that they’ll be safer if they put walls up and try to guard their heart, but I believe it takes great strength to be vulnerable, to put yourself out there, and to let love back in. Starry Eyes is about finding the silver lining and remembering that no matter how dark it gets, the stars will shine again.”
Gold was an early adopter of TikTok–she started posting on the platform in 2019. Due to her unusually transparent, organic approach to sharing her astonishing talents to a much wider audience, she became one of the platform’s fastest growing female vocal accounts within two years. Her daily TikTok posts have garnered her a deeply engaged and dedicated audience of over 1.2 million followers, propelling dozens of her videos well into the multi-millions; the latest of which, a stunning Lana Del Rey cover which has earned the praise of celebs and even companies such as YouTube, has amassed over 10.5 million views and 1.6 million likes in the span of 72 hours–a true testament to the deep connection she's made with her following.
Influenced equally by her parents’ love of Nina Simone, Etta James, Whitney Houston, and Motown, and her youthful exposure to Adele, Amy Winehouse, and Christina Aguilera, Jewels’ potent yet supple, emotive vocals channel a unique old/new mélange of classic soulfulness through an energized Gen Z prism.
Her upcoming EP, which is still being recorded, is akin to a modern orchestra with dynamic vocals, juxtaposing grand cinematic instrumentation with modern production to create an experience that’s timeless yet unmistakably “now.” “I want my music to make people feel like they’re unstoppable – to have that drive, that power, and also just the trust in themselves that they can handle any situation and walk through it with grace.”
"Starry Eyes" is set for release July 11th via SoundOn.

As perceptions of lifelong singer-songwriter Jewels Gold shift from TikTok covers sensation to ultra-authentic original artist, the effortless elegance she brings to hit songs is now manifesting more than ever in her own material. Having just signed to SoundOn, TikTok’s music division, Jewels’ empowering musical truth is resonating profoundly with millions online.
“My family raised me to always know who I was, and I didn’t doubt myself, even when others doubted me,” the powerhouse vocalist explained. “I want to be that support system for others. Whatever’s going on around you, it doesn’t matter; you just have to stay true, on your own path.”
Even as a child, Jewels was filling notebooks with songs and writing lyrics on napkins at restaurants or wherever inspiration struck. Musical theater evolved into professional voice over work and her first studio experiences. Having honed her talents at open mics around her native New Jersey, the teen Jewels earned a scholarship to the prestigious Berklee College of Music, leaving after a year to pursue a solo career.
“When you listen to music from the legends and the greats, of course there’s specific imagery, but the lasting impression is a feeling,” she said. “I try to find the perfect balance between something that’s authentic and actually happened but that a total stranger can relate to and resonate with.”
Jewels’ early adoption of TikTok in 2019 brought her unusually transparent, organic approach to sharing her astonishing talents to a much wider audience. Within two years she was one of the platform’s fastest growing female vocal accounts, and her daily TikTok posts since – both covers and her own songs – have seen her following soar to over 1.1 million and counting.
Jewels doesn’t just sing a song. She interprets classics, puts herself into them and truly feels them. And this rare, innate conviction infuses her own material, creating a visceral human connection that transcends her cultured songcraft and exquisite execution. “I don’t want to just sing the notes and show off a fancy riff,” she continued. “I love to move people with my voice ... to make them cry or have goose bumps or to be happy.”
Jewels’ upcoming EP sounds like a modern orchestra with dynamic vocals, juxtaposing grand cinematic instrumentation with modern production to create an experience that’s timeless yet unmistakably “now.”
“I want my music to make people feel like they’re unstoppable – to have that drive, that power, and also just the trust in themselves that they can handle any situation and walk through it with grace.”

Frankie Cosmos Different Talking Is Out Today!
“…The close quarters echo the intimacy of Kline’s early bedroom recordings, but a decade removed from her debut, her twee quirks have hardened into revealing idiosyncrasies… Singing with a sweet weariness, Kline can seem bemused by her melancholia, her resigned acceptance given an appealing warmth by a band whose gentle sway lends her pop miniatures depth.” - [4 out 5] MOJO Magazine
“Greta Kline’s four-piece continue to mature on this thoughtful sixth album, which sees the songwriter wrestle with the growing challenges of life as she enters her early thirties… These issues, dramatic or otherwise, unfold against an exquisitely cute jangle-pop backdrop, where simple, pure melodies meet bracingly short and uncluttered arrangements.” -
Uncut Magazine
“Leaning in to the band’s strengths, you can hear aspects of Guided By Voices in their stubborn unwillingness to conform to the rules.” -
[“Vanity”] Clash
“Kline’s oeuvre chronicles over a decade’s worth of personal and professional growth, neatly packaged into light-hearted ditties and passionate rock songs” - The Line of Best Fit
“Different Talking brings together soft indie rock influences and sways like the wind on a summer’s day.. An elaborate and well produced collection of songs. Seventeen tracks of hazy alternative anthems” -
[4 out of 5] Narc Magazine
Today, June 27th, Frankie Cosmos has released Different Talking, their sixth and, so far, best album from Sub Pop. It’s a collection of fragments and memories, remembered places, and reinterpreted feelings that adds up to a lucent, humming whole: a sturdy, worldly indie-rock record about aging and the passage of time that nonetheless manages to feel sharply current. The album includes the previously released singles, “Pressed Flower,” “Bitch Heart” and “Vanity” which Stereogum described as “…bigger and more complex than most of what we’ve heard from Frankie Cosmos in the past, without sacrificing the innate warm, DIY quality of Kline’s songwriting.”
Today, the band has shared one final video, a double video for their songs “One of Each” and “Against The Grain,” which was directed by Matthew Volz. Watch here.
As previously announced, the band will embark on a World Tour, with North American dates scheduled to run from September 3 to October 25. Emma Harner Announces Debut EP, 'Taking My Side,' Out July 11

Rising singer-songwriter and guitarist Emma Harner announces her highly anticipated debut EP, Taking My Side, out July 11. The 5-track collection—featuring previously released singles "False Alarm" and "Do It" alongside three new songs—is a coming-of-age project shaped by emotional upheaval, self-examination, and quiet strength.
Known for her intricate guitar work and ethereal vocals, Harner crafts songs that bridge raw emotion with technical finesse. Her writing is sharp yet vulnerable, often exploring the moments where relationships unravel, identities shift, and self-discovery begins to take shape. Taking My Side captures Harner at a turning point—looking inward, asking hard questions, and stepping more fully into herself.
Originally from Lincoln, Nebraska and now based in Boston, Harner has developed a distinctive sound that fuses the intimacy of folk with the complexity of math rock. She first gained attention through a series of viral videos on Instagram and TikTok, quickly building a devoted following drawn to her virtuosic playing, harmonic sophistication, and emotionally resonant songwriting.
In 2024, her debut single "When You Mean It" premiered as a Zane Lowe World First. Since then, she has toured as direct support for Orla Gartland on both her 2024 U.S. and 2025 European runs, and has opened for artists including mxmtoon, Tiny Habits, and The Bygones.
With the forthcoming release of Taking My Side, Emma Harner introduces herself not only as a gifted guitarist and songwriter but as an artist coming into her own with clarity, purpose, and heart.

Failure Performing at Documentary Premiere | (l to r): Greg Edwards, Kellii Scott, Ken Andrews
As otherworldly as Failure may often sound, the Los Angeles band is anchored by the distinctly terrestrial union of a long friendship between three musical allies – Ken Andrews [vocals, guitar, bass, programming], Greg Edwards [vocals, guitar, bass, keys] and Kellii Scott [drums, percussion].
Like a falling satellite blazing across the musical landscape, Failure flamed-out in the late ‘90s – their promising rise derailed by drug addiction and record company inertia. But the pioneering trio left a profound imprint that transcended their affiliation with the LA alt-rock scene. Every Time You Lose Your Mind documents the origins, downfall and rebirth of a band that’s beloved by their peers and multiple generations of fans.
“Our fans have connected with the themes of depression and addiction in our music,” notes Andrews. “The film crystallizes those connections and, ultimately, communicates hope. We’re a band that faced a specific set of challenges and somehow managed to survive and thrive. It's a story about resilience, finding ways to cope, and not giving up.”
WATCH DOCUMENTARY TRAILER HERE

Over the course of six albums, Failure has exerted a similar effect on listeners. Their musical communion has intrigued critics, fans, and peers for nearly three decades. Following Comfort and Magnified, the trio created what is largely considered one of the ‘90s most influential and innovative albums: Fantastic Planet. The 17-track collection not only earned rave reviews and a trove of new fans but saw the band headline Lollapalooza’s second stage and craft one of the era’s most recognizable videos (“Stuck on You”). The album’s legend grew over the ensuing years, eventually spawning retrospective think pieces from the likes of Rolling Stone, Noisey (Vice), Decibel Magazine, and more. Failure has been honored with covers by A Perfect Circle, Paramore, Cave In, Melissa Auf de Maur, and more. After a 17-year hiatus, they returned with The Heart Is a Monster in 2015, inciting the applause of Pitchfork, Entertainment Weekly, and Stereogum who said upon the album’s release: “this is a pretty big deal.” Their most recent album is 2021’s Wild Type Droid, recorded in the midst of the global pandemic.
