Announce New Album I’m Nice Now
Out October 3 via Domino
Release Dual Singles & Videos “Forgotten Token” & “Un Momento”
On Tour in the US, UK, EU This Fall

“Absolute mayhem… like punk Beastie Boys” NPR
“A sonic cannon, set to maximum destruction” Rolling Stone
Today Upchuck, the Atlanta punk quintet of vocalist KT, guitarists Mikey Durham and Hoff, bassist Ausar Ward, and drummer/vocalist Chris Salado, announce their third LP and Domino debut I’m Nice Now, due out October 3. The album was produced and mixed by Ty Segall at Sonic Ranch Studio and mastered by Heba Kadry.
As KT puts it, there’s never been a moment when she didn’t have rage. As the singer of Upchuck, the Georgia punk band whose music is as sharp as a scythe, KT has felt fierce energy inside her well before she had the band as an outlet through which to channel it. As a Black woman in America, rage has been the tint on the window through which she’s had to view the world. The experience of listening to Upchuck is to feel a distillation of that existence, all of its pain, sorrow, anger, and fear translated through raw punk music.
Perhaps, after so many years of wading in the muck, KT is over it. Upchuck’s Domino debut is I’m Nice Now. But don’t mistake newfound niceness for weakness. It’s self preservation. “In this world of constant distractions and stressors it’s important to keep your mind, body, and spirit sane and sound enough to continue through this seemingly never-ending fight,” she says.
Today the band shares two singles from the album, “Forgotten Token” and “Un Momento,” both with videos directed by Ian Cone.
On “Forgotten Token,” KT addresses the sudden loss of her sister during the recording of I’m Nice Now and the way in which she was undervalued in her life and, in her death, by some, she became commodified. The song is a perfect expression of the mixture of anger and exasperation meticulously transformed into a taut punk song. “I just feel/Cuz I’m Black/It gets stacked/In a lost closet/Forgotten token,” sings KT. Of the song she says, “It’s just like another soft yell/yearn for remaining aware of how you're treating others and what people mean to you. You can lose things easily and not care, thinking you'll just get another one. But people aren't objects." The video underscores the dark side of gentrification and, in keeping with the song’s familial theme, features cameos from KT’s mother, grandmother, and brother.
“Un Momento” is one of three songs on the album featuring vocals from Chris. It starts with a thunderous drum roll, one that comes from his experience growing up performing cumbia music. He aims to blend that sound with Upchuck’s traditional punk to fuse something unique. The video co-stars his father and his son and is a celebration of his North Atlanta neighborhood of Little Mexico. The day after the video was shot, the neighborhood was raided, door to door, by ICE; people in the area are still afraid to go to work and leave their families. “Dame un momento,” Chris sings on the track, “para sufrir… para vivir… para pensar.. para volar.” Give me a moment, to suffer, to live, to think, to fly.

Freezing Cold has released their electrifying, anthemic new single “Eclipse” featuring wailing guitar from Marissa Paternoster of Screaming Females. Following the acclaimed lead single “Backlight,” this is the latest track off their sophomore album Treasure Pool due out August 1 via Don Giovanni Records. “Eclipse” hits like an immediate indie rock classic with powerful clashing guitar, dueling vocal harmonies, stomping percussion and a catchy melodic refrain. Commenting on the story behind the song, vocalist/guitarist Jeff Cunningham shares, “The woods can feel like a little bubble where time stops behaving the way it’s supposed to and that inspired the setting of "Eclipse," which is actually the first song we wrote for Treasure Pool. No matter how much I’ve thought I was on a path or knew what I was doing, there have been plenty of times that felt like aimless wandering, moving forward just hoping an epiphany might eventually show up. We’ve all spent time fixated on forks in the road from our pasts while feeling like we’re in limbo in the present; there’s a quiet pull between feeling lost and still somehow heading somewhere, even if the path is not clear in either direction. The song also has the special benefit of the guitar wizardry of Marissa Paternoster (co-engineer, guitar), who Angie has collaborated with many, many times over the years.”
Listen / Share: “Eclipse” video
Freezing Cold has a penchant for diving into the familiar, relatable moments of being alive. Inspired by '90s alternative and indie sounds, the NYC indie rock three-piece effortlessly layers catchy guitar, airy keys, textured synths and woodwinds with ethereal three-part harmonies and poignant lyrics. Initially planned as an EP and derailed by COVID, as so many records were, the band used the space and time to build what would eventually become Treasure Pool. With the addition of bassist Leanne Butkovic, the band created a new microcosm of collective creativity bringing even more intention to the songwriting process and building spectacular new 3-part vocal harmonies.
Freezing Cold was co-founded in 2017 by seasoned indie-punk musicians Angie Boylan (touring/session drummer in Sleater-Kinney, Aye Nako, Cheeky) on drums and Jeff Cunningham (Bridge & Tunnel, Ordinary Lives) on guitar and vocals, now joined by bassist Leanne Butkovic who brings a new perspective and fresh energy to the band. They tracked the 10 songs over two years and three separate sessions at Lakehouse Recording Studios in Asbury Park, NJ with friends Eric Bennett and Marissa Paternoster (Screaming Females).
The concept of Treasure Pool was inspired by a trip Angie had recently taken to the Oregon Coast where tide pools appeared at dusk, revealing so many creatures and habitats that you didn’t know were there just minutes before. She shares, "I read a description that called them 'unique habitats teeming with life, offering a window into the marine world.' There’s some metaphor here about being in a band, surely. You create this world together, are vulnerable and bare your ideas and creative expression to one another. Pool everything together onto an album." The world Freezing Cold has created in Treasure Pool is a collection of masterfully written rock songs about getting older, finding new ways forward, and staying curious.

Hard rock band SEA HAGS announce previously unreleased 1985 album 'Dead & Gone'

SAN FRANCISCO HARD ROCK BAND SEA HAGS RISE FROM THE DEEP WITH THE PREVIOUSLY UNRELEASED DEAD & GONE
AFTER DEMO SESSIONS WITH KIRK HAMMETT OF METALLICA, SEA HAGS SIGNED TO CHRYSALIS RECORDS IN 1987 AND RECORDED THEIR SELF-TITLED DEBUT WITH PRODUCER MIKE CLINK (GUNS N’ ROSES’ APPETITE FOR DESTRUCTION)
DEAD & GONE CAPTURES THE BAND’S ORIGINAL LINEUP OF RON YOCOM, CHRIS SCHLOSSHARDT AND GREG LANGSTON PERFORMING LIVE BEFORE A STUDIO AUDIENCE
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE | July 15, 2025 — Liberation Hall returns to the San Francisco underground with the announcement of Dead & Gone, a previously unreleased 10-song live set from the hard rock band Sea Hags. Dead & Gone arrives in stores September 12 on CD & digital from Liberation Hall, distributed by MVD Entertainment Group (USA) and Wienerworld (UK).
Pre-order Dead & Gone at Bandcamp. First digital single “Doghouse” is out today.
Sea Hags formed on New Year’s Day, 1985, comprising singer/guitarist Ron Yocom, bassist Chris Schlosshardt, and drummer Greg Langston. Yocom and Schlosshardt had previously played together in Santa Rosa trio the Tearaways. Upon relocating to San Francisco, they drafted in drummer Greg Langston, already a scene veteran with such groups as Tuxedomoon, No Alternative, Fade to Black, and Beast featuring ex-Cramps guitarist Bryan Gregory.
By May, Sea Hags were gigging regularly. “I came from the punk scene,” said Langston. “Initially, Sea Hags were playing slower, ‘riff-rock’ oriented stuff, a kind of proto-grunge.” The group’s tempos eventually sped up as they opened shows for Dead Kennedys, Social Distortion, Johnny Thunders, Circle Jerks, X, Suicidal Tendencies, and Motörhead.
Sea Hags’ first cassette demo, the six-song The Hag of the Sea was produced in early 1986 by Sylvia Massy and Kirk Hammett; the Metallica guitarist played on two of the tracks. Distributed on cassette at shows, it sold out quickly. As the band improved, soon a second demo was needed.
YouTube Share: "Doghouse"

On September 3, Sea Hags were firing on all cylinders when they stepped in front of an audience of 60 enthusiastic fans at CD Studios. It’s this live demo recording that is now making its official debut on CD & digital. Dead & Gone captures Sea Hags delivering a type of sleaze rock that would soon be highly bankable on Hollywood’s Sunset Strip. Opener “Huntin’ for Dad” gets pulses racing with Yocom’s snarling vocals, followed by additional newly-discovered nuggets like the swaggering “Happy Hours with You,” the “too much junkie business” grind of “Dead and Gone,” the metallic blues of “King Bee Blues,” and the tense and atmospheric “Cock Eyed Crow.”
Despite its low budget, the demo served its purpose. Sea Hags were signed to Chrysalis Records in December 1987. But at the label’s insistence, Langston would be replaced, and a second guitarist was added. The original trio was defunct as Sea Hags entered the studio with producer Mike Clink (Guns N’ Roses’ Appetite for Destruction) to record their eponymous debut album. That album would include new versions of “Doghouse” and “Back to the Grind,” two tracks which appear in earlier versions on Dead & Gone.
Within ten months of the release of the Sea Hags’ major label debut, the band had splintered. “I missed the crash and burn,” recalled Langston. By the time he stepped off the drum stool on April 28, 1988, he had played over 300 shows with the band. Langston continues to be a gigging Bay Area drummer with No Alternative, Screaming Bloody Marys, and the Next.
Dead & Gone features a new liner notes essay by Bill Kopp, author of Disturbing the Peace: 415 Records and the Rise of New Wave (HoZac Books, 2021).

Los Angeles, CA (July 15th, 2025) – Honduran experimental popstar Isabella Lovestory announces the Vanity North American and European Tour. In support of her critically-acclaimed sophomore album Vanity, Isabella will bring her captivating live show, which recently graced festival stages at Paris’ We Love Green, Barcelona’s Primavera Sound and New York’s LadyLand Festival, to venues across North America and Europe. Her North American run will span 18 dates across the continent beginning Friday, September 12th in Miami, followed by her European leg, which begins on October 26th in Lisbon, Portugal and runs through November 17th.
Local and Spotify presale ticket sales begin July 16th at 12PM local time, with all tickets on sale beginning Friday, July 18 at 10AM local time. Isabella will be joined by pop upstart Cece Natalie and burgeoning DJ and producer Ali RQ in North America.
Vanity is a definitive artistic statement of a sophomore album for Isabella, praised by the likes of The FADER, NPR, Office Magazine, and more. Isabella is breaking the mold as a multidisciplinary creative and interrogating the dualities of contemporary life as an artist - the horror of beauty, the luxury of trashiness and the infinite portal embedded in a handheld mirror. “Each song is a different side of me dealing with vanity itself,” Isabella says of the album. “A haunted house of mirrors - where you can’t tell if the shine comes from diamonds or aluminum foil.”
With production assistance from frequent producers Chicken and Kamixlo, along with newcomer Mechatok and a guest appearance from Argentine rapper Taichu, Vanity is a chronology of the music touch points that are both dreamy and guttural. The melancholy of New Order is combined with the industrial rawness of Plan B - creating an unapologetic and fragile sense of debauchery and a sharp eye on the contemporary idea of beauty’s inevitable decay.
Listen to Vanity and for the full run of tour dates and more album details see above. Stay tuned for more from Isabella coming very soon.

What the press is saying about High Vis:

(July 15, 2025) - London’s High Vis announces their headline North American tour slated to kick off this September. The 19-date tour will include support from No Warning, Pissed Jeans, Cold Gawd, Radioactivity, Secret World, Locked Shut, Gag and more on select dates with a stop at Ohana Festival in Dana Point, California. Tickets go on sale this Friday, July 18th at 10am local time HERE. High Vis’ North American headline dates follow their shows across the United Kingdom and Europe where they will perform with Fontaines D.C. in Cardiff Castle along with sets at Pukkelpop and Reading and Leeds Festival, as well as support TURNSTILE across the entirety of their UK/EU tour later this fall. Today’s North American tour announcement comes on the heels of the band wrapping a 6-show run with Deftones across Europe. Earlier this year, High Vis was added to the BBC 6 Music A-List and was highlighted in a feature with Rolling Stone about the current rise of hardcore.
High Vis’ forthcoming headline tour follows last fall’s release of their lauded album Guided Tour, which arrived in October via Dais Records. Guided Tour was praised by Pitchfork, Alternative Press, Revolver, Stereogum, and more upon its release and includes the singles “Guided Tour,” “Drop Me Out,” “Mob DLA,” and “Mind’s a Lie.”
On Guided Tour, High Vis sounds like a band reaching for new heights, bristling with energy. Recorded across a few weeks at Holy Mountain Studios in London with producer Jonah Falco and engineer Stanley Gravett (the pair also helmed the sessions for High Vis’ Blending), the results feel dynamic and dialed-in, like anthems burned into sense memory through sweat and repetition. The album’s 11 songs span the spectrum of contemporary guitar music, sharpened by experience, camaraderie, and societal frustrations. From swaggering street punk to jangling indie sneer to heavy alt to shoegazey spoken word, the group’s chemistry transmutes any style to their unique intensity.
Since 2018, High Vis has polished their progressive hardcore sound with shades of post-punk, Brit pop, neo-psychedelia, and even Madchester groove, mapping a middle ground between hooks and fury, melodies and mosh pits. In 2019, High Vis released their debut album No Sense No Feeling, which broadened the scope of the hardcore veterans beyond scene while creating self-described “post-industrial-Britain misery punk.” The celebrated follow up, 2022’s Blending includes the tracks “Talk For Hours” and “Trauma Bonds” and not only expands upon the sonic breadth of High Vis, but vocalist Sayle opened his chest cavity through his lyrics discussing social issues and political miseries while reaching a hand out to folks listening to give a message of hope.
Check out Guided Tour above, see full tour routing and album details below, and stay tuned for more from High Vis coming soon.
