Today, The Last Dinner Party announce From The Pyre, their second studio album which will be released on the October 17th via Island Records. The band also share the album’s first single, “This Is The Killer Speaking”. Watch the video here and listen to the track here. The Last Dinner Party’s From The Pyre is available to preorder on all formats here.
The band share about their new album:
“This record is a collection of stories, and the concept of album-as-mythos binds them. ‘The Pyre’ itself is an allegorical place in which these tales originate, a place of violence and destruction but also regeneration, passion and light.
“The songs are character driven but still deeply personal, a commonplace life event pushed to pathological extreme. Being ghosted becomes a Western dance with a killer, and heartbreak laughs into the face of the apocalypse. Lyrics invoke rifles, scythes, sailors, saints, cowboys, floods, Mother Earth, Joan of Arc, and blazing infernos. We found this kind of evocative imagery to be the most honest and truthful way to discuss the way our experiences felt, giving each the emotional weight it deserves.”
“This record feels a little darker, more raw and more earthy; it takes place looking out at a sublime landscape rather than seated an opulent table. It also feels metatextual and cheeky in places, like a knowing look reflected back at ourselves.”
The Last Dinner Party will perform at Connecticut’s Soundside Festival, as well as both NYC and Washington DC editions of All Things Go Festival. Tickets for all dates are available here.
For From The Pyre, the London five-piece – consisting of Abigail Morris (vocals), Lizzie Mayland (vocals, guitar), Emily Roberts (lead guitar, mandolin, flute), Georgia Davies (bass) and Aurora Nishevci (keyboards, vocals)— headed into the studio early 2025 with Grammy Award winning producer Markus Dravs (Wolf Alice, Florence & The Machine, Bjork) to start work on the follow-up to their number 1 debut album, 2023’s Prelude to Ecstasy. From The Pyre is the sound of a band having a lot of fun rather than feeling any innate pressure to follow-up on what was an explosively successful debut record. It’s also the sound of a young band developing and maturing their songwriting together, as tight a unit as the endless months out on the road pay testament to.
With two BRIT Awards to their name (including Breakthrough Artist earlier this year), and having sold out virtually every show they played right across the globe (including three sold-out hometown shows at London’s Eventim Apollo), The Last Dinner Party’s arrival and subsequent worldwide success was one of the most thrilling introductions to a new British band in decades, and From The Pyre’s opening introduction suggests that unparalleled success story shows no signs of relenting.

TRON: Ares (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack), featuring all original music by Nine Inch Nails, will be released on September 19 via Interscope Records. Created for the third installment in the groundbreaking TRON film franchise, TRON: Ares stands among Nine Inch Nails’ most compelling albums, humming with menace, melancholy and momentum as analog soul and digital dread collide. It also marks the first-ever film score by the pioneering band although bandmates Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross have composed 20 scores under their own names, winning two Oscars, three Golden Globes, a GRAMMY® and an Emmy in the process. In this exclusive Empire feature, Reznor delves into why they approached TRON: Ares as a Nine Inch Nails project. Pre-order / pre-save TRON: Ares (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) HERE. See below for track listing.
Today, Nine Inch Nails dropped "As Alive As You Need Me To Be" – the album’s first single and the first official music from the band in five years. Disney’s TRON: Ares releases in U.S. theaters on October 10.
Nine Inch Nails will kick off the North American leg of their acclaimed “Peel It Back” world tour on August 6 at Oakland Arena in Oakland, CA. The 26-date, sold-out run will include two-night stands at United Center in Chicago (August 19 and 20), Barclays Center in Brooklyn (September 2 and 3) and the Kia Forum in Los Angeles (September 18 and 19). Boys Noize will support on all dates. See below for itinerary. Due to fan demand and overwhelming response to the production debuted on the European tour, a number of limited view tickets will be released across all dates this Friday, July 18, at 9AM PT/12PM ET at NIN.com.
The arena tour, which marks the band’s first live outing since 2022, launched at Dublin’s 3Arena in June. The Times, in an opening night review, said, "The show was a revelation — a thrilling onslaught that combined angst, sincerity and a nightmarish otherworldliness…" NME noted, “[The band] delivered a stacked setlist of huge hits and rarities.” Kerrang hailed the tour as “mind-blowing” while Evening Standard proclaimed, “Trent Reznor is the last great art rock star.”
Founded in 1988 by Reznor, Nine Inch Nails is widely considered one of the most innovative, influential acts in modern music. Known for fusing industrial, electronic, rock and ambient sounds into emotionally raw and sonically aggressive compositions, the band has won two GRAMMY® Awards and was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2020. Nine Inch Nails’ multi-Platinum studio albums include their 1989 debut, Pretty Hate Machine, The Downward Spiral (1994) and The Fragile (1999), which was their first album to reach No. 1 on the Billboard 200, a feat repeated by With Teeth (2005).
In 2008, Reznor and Ross launched a prolific career in composing music for film. Their first project, David Fincher’s The Social Network, earned the pair an Oscar and a Golden Globe. They’ve gone on to compose music for a diverse array of film and television projects, including the Watchmen series for HBO, which earned the duo an Emmy for Outstanding Music Composition for a series. Their score for the 2020 animated Pixar film Soul. won numerous awards, including an Oscar, GRAMMY, Golden Globe and British Academy Film Award. In the same year, their score for Fincher’s MANK received nominations for many of the same awards. Recent projects have included Sam Mendes’ Empire of Light, Fincher’s The Killer and a trio of projects with director Luca Guadagnino – Bones and All, Challengers and Queer.
Earlier this year, Reznor and Ross announced Future Ruins, a one-day music festival created and curated by the duo. Celebrating the visionary composers shaping the sound of modern cinema and television, the event features live performances across three stages—including select sets with full orchestra. Held on November 8, 2025, at the Los Angeles Equestrian Center, Future Ruins invites audiences to experience the duo’s groundbreaking score work—and that of their peers—not as background, but as the main event. The music tells the story. Tickets are on sale now at FutureRuins.com.
As a work by Nine Inch Nails, TRON: Ares is a bracing departure from these acclaimed scores. Its architecture in sound: pulsating synths, distorted textures, and haunting melodies. Not one second of orchestra. Instead, the album erupts with the full force of Nine Inch Nails, breaking boundaries and redefining what a score can be.

Felsmann + Tiley Announce New Album 'Protomensch' || Share New Track "Open Fields (Ft. The Kite String Tangle)"

ANNOUNCE NEW ALBUM
PROTOMENSCH
WATCH THE VIDEO FOR NEW SINGLE
“OPEN FIELDS (FT. THE KITE STRING TANGLE)”

Having knocked us off the balance with Socratic questioning on their cosmic avant-trance prologue “Warum” (Engl. “why”), German synth-duo Felsmann + Tiley (Dominik Felsmann and Patrick Tiley) share the first single “Open Fields” featuring Brisbane solo artist The Kite String Tangle (Danny Harley). They have also announced their upcoming album Protomensch, which will be released on February 13th, 2026 via Mute.
“Open Fields” is a vocal driven synthwave ballad encouraging us to embrace the glass-half-full optimist within and play the hand that we have been dealt with by fate.
Underpinned by symbolism, “Open fields” represent fertile soil surrounded by barren plains and craggy mountains, where – if cultivated and looked after – seeds of hope may take root and start to grow. “If ‘Warum’ asked “Why do we exist?,” ‘Open Fields’ replies: “I can’t give you the answer, but here’s the only patch in the world where you can actually plant something,” Felsmann + Tiley recap. “It’s about us as Hope Machines. The odds can be stacked against us, and we still plough through, fuelled by irrational optimism, necessary for our survival.”

This ray of hope shines from this life into the next during the chorus. It is in the Homeric depiction where we can take comfort in knowing that the loved ones we have lost too soon will continue to live on in our hearts every step of the way:
“All these open fields where I’ll meet you
We’ll be worlds apart, but I’ll see you
Radiating through the cracks, just light intertwined”
On their home ground with a trademark minimalist, percussionless take on neo-classical synthwave, the duo are well aware of the artistic payoffs. “When you speak quietly, people lean in. It’s the same with music,” Felsmann + Tiley argue. “With fewer elements, the subtleties of the words, vocal delivery, and evolving synth textures become more present.“ A composition built on delicate yet striking balance between absence and presence, life and death, love and loss, Felsmann and Tiley “wanted the song to be pervaded by tension, opposing forces locked in perpetual motion.”
Life imitating art once again, the collaborative process led Felsmann + Tiley to an unmapped territory they had not treaded on before hitting the studio with Danny Harley and embarking on a writing sprint together. “We wanted that extra dimension not only for the audible result but also to challenge ourselves from a production and songwriting standpoint,” the duo explains. “Danny added an entirely new dimension to the instrumental, and hearing his vision take shape in real time felt special. As part of the live feedback cycle, we encouraged him to try alternative vocal deliveries, pushing him beyond his usual style. The final result preserves that in-person magic, which simply wouldn’t have happened the same way remotely.”
About Felsmann + Tiley
How long can an artist with instantly recognizable sound stay anonymous? For years, apparently. Take Felsmann + Tiley’s reinterpretation of M83’s “Solitude,” a track that has over 200 million streams to date. Very few of those listeners know the story of evolution behind the German producer-duo’s drumless synthwave melding Cliff Martinez-style maximum emotional impact with Nils Frahm’s neoclassical minimalism. Nor are they familiar with their body of work that has reached wider audiences after featuring on BAFTA-winning crime series “Top Boy” and Acne Studios fashion shows. Slated for release in February 2026, their upcoming album Protomensch is an audiovisual statement on the absurdity of modern existence.
Having met by happenstance in 2003 on a German music production forum called MyOwnMusic.de, Felsmann + Tiley soon discovered they shared a lot more than their hometown of Stuttgart. “We were attracted to the depth and melancholy of trance pads and breakdowns that always had a certain darkness to them.” Their 12-inch Ghosts under an alias Kamui was followed by a string of blistering belters by five other aliases released on different labels, all linked by thick and heavy club sound. “And then from 2006 onwards we also started touring and doing DJ gigs all around the world.”
It was the sixth alias Felsmann + Tiley formed in 2017 that stuck. “We were having a conversation over the phone and said: Let’s mix what we like about dance music. Melancholy with reduced neoclassic bits focused on melodies and the film epicness,” they remember. What started off as a pitch deck full of big ideas and even bigger visions would take eight years to grow into an ambitious, all-out artistic vision involving immersive live experiences and a social commentary on the current state of the world.
Looking back on the duo’s body of work, the early signs of major success were there from the start. One of the standout tracks called “October” off their debut album Tempora (2018), a 21st century take on Vivaldi’s cyclical Four Seasons, was featured on the late Andrew Weatherall’s final radio show for NTS Radio and Michel Gaubert’s set for the Swedish fashion house Acne Studios. What’s more, the album also caught the attention of DEF, the management agency of Moby, Robyn, Fever Ray, and Röyksopp.
By contrast, their follow up EP Weltschmerz (Engl. “world weary”), a pitch-perfect post-mortem on the clubland during Covid-lockdown, was nothing short of homecoming. “At the time we were knee deep in philosophy and reading up a lot on existential nihilism,” the duo explains. “Everything was dark, so on the music we made like Homo Deus there are all these off-tune elements combined with organ plugins and bass. That core melancholy goes all the way back to 2003. That’s our DNA at the end of the day.”
Having got the existential dread out of their system, there was more room for the life-affirming cinematic exploration that is front and center on the 2022 EP Retrovision, a record based on cinematic scenes. A bunch of kids outside living life to the fullest (“Vision Genesis”). A drive back home late at night through the city (“Vision Night Drive”).
Where the visually-heightened sound reached wider audiences were sync placements for the reinterpretations of the songs by high-calibre artists: “The Most Beautiful Boy” by The Irrepressibles, the lead track on teen drama “Young Royals 2” and “Solitude” by M83 appeared on the gritty British crime series “Top Boy,” two tracks later released on Mute Records and Deutsche Grammophon that since then have racked up over 200 million streams.
Felsmann + Tiley’s passion for putting their very own stamp on vocal driven tracks is evident on the standout moments of their upcoming concept album Protomensch (Engl. “proto-human”), where the darkest shades of shimmering synthwave, pounding trance and introspective IDM are lit up with synth-pop songs by guest vocalists including London-based alternative outfit Pet Deaths, Australian solo-artists The Kite String Tangle, Woodes and Laius.
This juxtaposition between sentient beings and machines permeates the whole album, right from the Felsmann + Tiley manifesto introducing us to the highly-intelligent yet irrevocably-shortsighted and downright tragic character of Protomensch, to the cover artwork featuring a turtleneck wearing chimpanzee, futuristic music videos and stark social media aesthetics, to seated, next-level live-shows involving collaboration with dozens of visual artists.
More to the point, the release of Protomensch marks the moment their full artistic vision – as they envisaged back in 2017 – will be brought to fruition for the first time. However, at the same time it also marks the moment of realization for Felsmann + Tiley. As the Stoic philosopher Seneca put it, “Every new beginning comes from some other beginning's end.”

JUSTICE and KAYTRANADA announce a co-headline fall North American tour. The month-long run will see the two iconic electronic artists play arenas across North America -- launching October 16th in Vancouver before wrapping up on November 16th in Miami.
The tour marks a reunion for the two acts after sharing a bill at the famed Basilica of the Sacré-Cœur de Montmartre in Paris last June, where each performed overlooking the city as the sun set on the summer solstice. Just a few months later, in September of 2024, KAYTRANADA remixed JUSTICE’s single "Neverender," which features Tame Impala's Kevin Parker (the original version went on to win a Grammy for Best Electronic/Dance Recording and recently hit #18 on the Top 40). Now, after teasing fans with one-off shows and transatlantic collaborations, the pair will bring their acclaimed live shows to some of North America's biggest venues, with additional dates still to be announced.
The tour announcement comes on the heels of new music from both artists. Yesterday, JUSTICE unveiled an EP (via Ed Banger Records / Because Music) for their single “Mannequin Love” featuring remixes of the title track courtesy of The Dare, Braxe + Falcon, and Hudson Mohawke - as well as the original by JUSTICE and The Flints from the acclaimed 2024 album Hyperdrama. KAYTRANADA continued to stay busy following the release of his Grammy-nominated album TIMELESS with sold out tours of North America and Europe, as well as more recently producing for artists such as Justine Skye on her new single “Oh Lala” and UK R&B sensations FLO on their new single “The Mood” that was released last week.

The Original Kings of Italian brainrot music
are back with their latest wild creation!
Meet new hero: COCO COPTER

Today, LA-based punk-pop-rave renegades Little Big, originally from Saint Petersburg, unleash their latest anti-hero: “COCO COPTER,” crashing onto the scene with a wild, no-holds-barred music video in their signature absurdist style. Frontman Ilya Prusikin explains: “Little Big - The Original Kings of Italian Brainrot are back with their latest wild creation! If you thought Bombardino Crocodilo was over the top, and Ballerina Cappuccina felt too tame for your hardcore disco cravings, buckle up. Coco Copter spins through chaos, dodges Skibidi Toilet, and drops bangers like it's second nature. It’s loud. It’s absurd. And yeah… It’s definitely going to get stuck in your head for way too long. You’ve been warned.”
Little Big was originally formed in 2013 by frontman Ilya “Ilich” Prusikin and is now driven by the explosive duo of Prusikin and vocalist Sonya Tayurskaya. Known for their absurdist visuals, satirical edge, and viral hits, the Saint Petersburg-born group has built a devoted global following, collaborating with artists like Oliver Tree, Tommy Cash, Finch Asozial, Dillon Francis, Clean Bandit, and even Sacha Baron Cohen.
They are the true originators of the word “Skibidi”, unleashing the surreal, high-octane anthem in 2018, long before 2023’s “Skibidi Toilet” phenomenon. Their “Skibidi” video has garnered over 775 million views, making it their biggest hit, while their catalog has surpassed 3 billion total views. Their 2020 single “UNO” also made history as the most-viewed video in Eurovision history, with over 296 million views.
In March 2022, following their outspoken opposition to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, the band relocated from Moscow to Los Angeles, turning their art and platform into a powerful form of protest.

Stream | YouTubeToday, New York native singer-songwriter ROREY releases her hypnotic new single, “Wish I Was Numb”, the second track from her upcoming sophomore album Dysphoria , due out August 15. Known for her emotionally raw and sonically immersive music, ROREY doesn’t shy away from discomfort—instead, she invites listeners into it, offering an intimate reflection of her own inner world.
With haunting melodies and heartfelt lyrics, ROREY channels every emotion she feels directly into her music. “Wish I Was Numb” is no exception. The track captures the tension between emotional overload and total burnout—the push and pull of wanting to do everything and nothing all at once. It’s a dreamy yet urgent pop track that feels both deeply personal and widely relatable.
“I feel too much, wish I was numb,”
ROREY sings, delivering a hook that’s as infectious as it is vulnerably powerful.
Dysphoria was written during the pandemic, when ROREY was just 21 and reeling from a manic episode. Co-produced by her longtime friend Scott Effaman, the album is a deeply personal exploration of mental health, identity, and survival. Through Dysphoria, ROREY offers not only a reflection of her own struggles, but a mirror for anyone who’s ever felt overwhelmed by their own mind.
“Wish I Was Numb” is out now on all digital streaming platforms.
ROREY’s full album Dysphoria drops August 15.

Producer: Scott Effman
Mixer: Nathan Philips (spill tab, omar apollo, still woozy, jean dawson)
Master engineer: Brian Calhooon
ROREY – Bio:
ROREY was born in Manhattan and raised bicoastally between Los Angeles and New York City. She began playing guitar at six and composed her first song by ten. A self-taught pianist, ROREY possesses an intuitive grasp of melodic composition, which empowers her to write and co-produce every track she releases. Her innate understanding of sound, paired with her early affinity for prose and nascent lyricism, allows her music to live in the space between youthful rawness and reflective reverie.
In 2019, ROREY left The New School in NYC to pursue her dream of living off her art. She returned to Los Angeles and released her debut single, “Predictable,” in 2021. Since then, she has carved out a distinct lane with brutally honest lyrics, hypnotic hooks, and a signature emotional depth that makes listeners feel seen.
Now 25, ROREY is known for her genre-bending sound and introspective storytelling. “Each one of my songs has an element of introspection — I’m always asking myself a question,” she says. “My music is about relationships with ourselves and others. It’s about self-deviance, self-discovery, and being radically honest, even when it hurts.”
Diagnosed with bipolar disorder in 2021, ROREY turned to songwriting as her greatest confidant and catharsis. Her upcoming sophomore EP, Dysphoria (out May 17), was written during a mixed manic episode at the age of 21, in the thick of the pandemic, as a way to make sense of the chaos in her mind. Co-produced by longtime friend and collaborator Scott Effman, the project explores her cognitive dissonance through haunting melodies, ethereal vocals, and swirls of hypnotic instrumentals.
ROREY draws inspiration from everything — even pulling lyrics from text conversations. Though the only musician in her family, she grew up surrounded by sound, thanks to her Father’s love for Santana, Pink Floyd, and Jethro Tull.
Her “easy vulnerability” has resonated globally. The Pogues Announce Support Acts including Ted Leo, Cardinals and Jesse Malin For First U.S. And Canadian Dates In Thirteen Years

The Pogues Announce Support Acts ForFirst U.S. And Canadian Dates In Thirteen YearsSpecial Guest Vocalists And Musicians Join Headline Tour September 2025Celebrating 40 Years Of Iconic Album Rum Sodomy & The LashSupport Acts Include Ted Leo, Cardinals, Soft Play And Jesse Malin July 17, 2025 - New York, NY: The Pogues announce support acts for their upcoming USA and Canadian dates today. Ted Leo will support the bill in Philadelphia, Cardinals in Toronto in addition to Soft Play and Jesse Malin opening the NYC shows. This is the first tour for The Pogues on this side of the Atlantic in thirteen years, including festival stops in Boston for Seísun Festival, Chicago for Riot Fest and Ottawa for CityFolk.
Of the openers, Spider Stacy says "We have some great opening acts - Ted Leo played a few shows with the Pogues back in 2007; he’s an admirable artist, full of integrity and grit and we’re really looking forward to seeing him again. Also it’s brilliant that he’s now playing IN the Gang Of Four, which is just cool as you like.
Speaking of grit, we are beyond delighted to have Jesse Malin opening our second New York show - to do what Jesse has done since his spinal stroke back in ‘23 is simply heroic, a true demonstration of the power of the human spirit. Again, another must-see.
Soft Play, who open the first New York show, will probably blow the doors off the place. They come from Tunbridge Wells, where Shane was born. Beware the Garden of England - there are the most beguiling of serpents to be found lurking seductively among the flowerbeds.
Cardinals are from Cork and they’re every bit as excellent as that would suggest. ‘Pop music with noise over it’ - what more do you want, world?
There’s so much fantastic music coming out of Ireland these days that it’s becoming something of a cliché to keep mentioning it - not just music but art generally - but here it is, here they are and here’s a whole bunch of us to go along with it."

Spider Stacy talks about the run: "And here we are with just seven weeks to go. We’re traveling with what would constitute a spectacular festival bill in anyone’s book and we’ve got them all crammed onto the same stage. If the UK dates we did in May - and the London and Dublin shows we did last year - are anything to go by, these North American ones are going to be fantastic."
Released in 1985, Rum Sodomy & the Lash is a cornerstone of punk and alternative rock, renowned for its raw energy, poetic lyrics, and infectious melodies. The band are set to play the legendary album in full, including b-sides, extended version tracks plus a special selection of their most beloved material.
Album highlights include iconic songs like 'Sally MacLennane,' 'A Pair of Brown Eyes' and 'Dirty Old Town.' Ranked among Rolling Stone’s Best 500 Albums of All Time and featured in such tastemaker books as 1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die; Rum Sodomy & the Lash is a certified classic which has influenced countless artists globally and continues to impact listeners forty years on.

SPIRITUAL CRAMP ANNOUNCE NEW ALBUM 'RUDE'
SPIRITUAL CRAMP ANNOUNCE NEW ALBUM RUDE
WATCH THE VIDEO FOR FIRST SINGLE “AT MY FUNERAL”

San Francisco punks Spiritual Cramp have announced their sophomore album RUDE for October 24th via Blue Grape Music. Produced by Grammy Award-winning John Congleton, mixed by Carlos de la Garza, and featuring a duet with Sharon Van Etten, the album feels like a massive level up or the band. After perfecting their kaleidoscopic take on punk over a handful of EPs and one album, the band has entered a new era, expanding the songwriting duties across the entire group—a role that vocalist Michael Bingham and bassist Michael Fenton had previously helmed. The results are nothing short of ecstatic, blending new wave burn, indie rock swagger, old-school punk, and even dub and hip-hop flourishes, all evident in the first single “At My Funeral.” The thumping rhythm and chunky guitar riffs showcase the band’s evolved songwriting, as well as Bingham’s trademark self-deprecating humor. The track arrives with a Sean Stout-directed video heavily inspired by Pharcyde’s “The Drop,” featuring Bingham walking the streets of San Francisco.

With RUDE, Spiritual Cramp finds a new balance between the cheekiness, emotional vulnerability, and raw energy that started to emerge on their debut. “When you focus on yourself and the people around you, you can keep your side of the street clean,” Bingham says. “And when I see the opposite of that, I get kind of offended, which is what a lot of these songs are about.” The album reads like a love letter to San Francisco, with Los Angeles—where Bingham relocated shortly before the debut—serving as the unkept side of the street. “My foundation is in San Francisco, California, and from there I can go anywhere and be who I am,” Bingham says.
Since the start of their self-titled debut rollout in November of 2023 Spiritual Cramp have been among the hardest working bands in the game playing over 200 shows across the US, EU, and UK. Supporting acts like Iggy Pop, V**gra Boys, The Hives, Militarie Gun, Rise Against, and Bad Nerves, among others the band maintained the reputation as incredible performers. Tour dates around RUDE will be announced soon.
