Elephant Stone Reveals New Video via Team Coco
ELEPHANT STONE REVEALS NEW VIDEO FOR "LOVE THE SINNER, HATE THE SIN"US Tour Begins August 8th; European Tour Confirmed w / The Black Angels
While Elephant Stone prepare for the Eastern US leg of their summer tour next week, Conan O'Brien's Team Coco are premiering the third video from their sophomore record Elephant Stone, "Love The Sinner, Hate The Sin." With next week's summer tour and Elephant Stone frontman Rishi Dhir's impending appearance with Beck at Saturday's Osheaga Music and Arts Festival (Watch Rishi with Beck in Australia performing "Loser"), the band continues to enrich an outstanding spring of mass critical praise particularly after touring North America with both The Zombies and The Black Angels, ultimately climaxing at Austin Psych Fest . The impetus behind the buzz is, without a doubt, Elephant Stone's powerful self-titled sophomore record released earlier this year via Hidden Pony and The Reverberation Appreciation Society .

"Many attempts to incorporate traditional Eastern instruments into Western pop or rock music sound sloppy and cobbled-together, or even teeter on the edge of cultural tourism. Elephant Stone avoids this by cleverly employing the sitar as a textural sound rather than a more prominent melodic one." - NPR

He's My Brother She's My Sister Announce Headlining Tour
He's My Brother She's My Sister Announce Fall Headlining Tour& Festival Dates
"[Their] voices mingle like glamour in the desert. Steeped in the 1920's and the 2000's, this band makes party music for coyotes drunk on champagne.” -- LA Weekly

Watch: "The Same Old Ground" LIVE on The Late Late Show Stream & Share: "Clackin' Heels"
He's My Brother She's My Sister has announced a headlining tour to kick off in October, following a handful of festival dates & one-offs. The release of their debut LP, Nobody Dances In This Town, via Park The Van Records last fall earned the band praise from FILTER, Paste, Teen Vogue, CMJ & more, and landed them a live performance on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson. Having already played sold-out shows across the country in support of the release, the lively bunch is ready to charm audiences once again with their wildly-energetic live show.
Fronted by brother-sister duo Robert and Rachel Kolar, the genre-defying quintet is rounded out by tap-dancing percussionist Lauren Brown, stand-up bass player Oliver Newell, and touring member Ryan Richter on lap slide. Their unconventional sound, which has been described as everything from "flamboyant folk" to "psych-acoustic," is at once modern and antique, sincere and theatrical.
Having performed at this year's Bonnaroo, Austin City Limits & Firefly and shared stages with Jack White, Wilco, The Black Keys, Alabama Shakes, Florence & The Machine and more, be sure to catch the band live in your city!

Moderat-First Listen of NEW ALBUM II NOW
MODERAT – II
STREAMING NOW AT NPR MUSIC’S “FIRST LISTEN”
RELEASED AUG 6, 2013
Today we are excited to partner with
NPR
and present
Moderat’s
new album,
II
, in its entirety via their
“First Listen”
series. Listen as
Modeselektor’s
thundering bass rumbles in the cellar and
Apparat’s
sensitive, subtle melodies float high in the eaves. In the space of eleven tracks, Moderat present a varied, but nonetheless compact and epic tale. “The German dance music duo Modeselektor makes music that can knock your head off its axis. Electronic producer Sascha Ring, better known as Apparat, has made the kind of stuff that buries your heart deep in your gut. Moderat, the project that unites these two seemingly disparate energies, finds a sweet spot that resonates with both body and mind.” -NPR Music
Moderat
are
Apparat
(Sascha Ring) and
Modeselektor
(Gernot Bronsert and Sebastian Szary). Both acts represent the Berlin electronic scene from the other side of the straight bass drum. On one side, there is Apparat, the thoughtful purveyor of sophisticated electronic pop music, and on the other, Modeselektor, the grand masters of subterranean bass and electrifying breakbeat. Together, the extreme contrast between Modeselektor’s throbbing bass and tricky beats and Apparat’s delicate vocals have created the unique Moderat vibe. Five years have passed since the release of their debut album and all three find themselves in new situations, assuming new responsibilities: as band leader (Apparat) and as label makers and dads (Modeselektor). The spectrum is an emotional one, and one that has increased stylistically. There is no longer a prevailing tone.

Moderat is currently working on a new live show for their upcoming tour. Together with their long-time friends and visual artists collective Pfadfinderei, they are aiming to change the idea of what a live performance is. Usually, the best place to experience a show is from the front or near the center of the venue, however, Moderat and Pfadfinderei want to create an experience where different, interesting things happen at various places throughout the venue. Experience this live come August 28th in select cities in North America.

– The New York Times
“a healthy creative symbiosis that accentuates the best parts of their individual styles.” – Pitchfork “lush and introspective, but still heavy-hitting” – XLR8R “Moderat is a rich, emotionally resonant piece…” – Time Out New York “Moderat’s songs occupy new ground—a territory where the spacious warmth of ambient music and the claustrophobic chill that typifies dubstep can live in harmony. . . this remarkably fluid music proves the group is interested in becoming greater than the considerable sum of its parts.” – The A.V. Twin Peaks Announce Tour Dates, Share Fever Dream Tour Promotional
TWIN PEAKS ANNOUNCE TOUR DATES, SHARE FEVER DREAM TOUR PROMOTIONAL VIDEO!
SUNKEN OUT NOW ON AUTUMN TONE
With the amount of attention Twin Peaks' debut album, Sunken, is receiving, one can only imagine that their sophomore release hasto be called "Risen!" While I spend the next 6 weeks apologizing for that terrible joke, the Twin Peaks Dudes will be touring their youthful asses off, having joined up for dates with Foxygen and future shows with Bleeding Rainbow, as well as some headlining dates, which will feature their first headlining show in New York. The band's profile has been bubbling up over the course of the last 6 months, with features in Interview, Esquire, Magnet, NME, The Chicago Tribune, MTV Hive, and many more. Anyone who has seen them live can attest to power they bring to the equation, so it's no surprise that they sold out their record release show in Chicago last week.
To commemorate their current West Coast tour, guitarist Clay Frankel (he's the one who was briefly enrolled in the USC film program before dropping out for the band) made this impromptu tour promotional video. Let's all drop out and join the band on the road!

PRAISE FOR SUNKEN
When there is so much agreeable stuff lying around, all of it worn shiny with generations' worth of love, to make someone actually pay attention to you requires real talent, and Twin Peaks have perfected the kind of songwriting that puts you in a practiced, happy headlock. - Pitchfork
"Twin Peaks make a confident old-school indie rock chug that should be beyond their years." - Stereogum
"A quartet of young Chicago dudes with great taste in band names whose combination of psychedelic jangle and slacker punk grease makes a persuasive argument for the continued relevance of guitar rock" - Esquire
