Photo, bio and album art available here.
The Orwells' first three releases were made with a youthful energy and unabashed love for rock & roll which set the stage for the band's new album, Disgraceland. "I'm not that old but I'm getting pretty wise" -- a sentiment within the early seconds of The Orwells' new album, Disgraceland, pretty much sums up the eleven tracks that follow it. In guitarist Matt O'Keefe's words, "We wanted to capture what the last 18-20 years of our lives were like, in this anywhere USA suburb." Recorded last fall at studios in London, Chicago, New York, Los Angeles and Woodstock, NY, the album was produced with the help of Chris Coady (Smith Westerns, Beach House), Dave Sitek (Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Santigold, TV On the Radio) and Jim Abbiss (Arctic Monkeys).
The Orwells are cousins Mario Cuomo (vocals) and Dominic Corso (guitar), twins Grant (bass) and Henry Brinner (drums), and Matt O'Keefe (guitar)

BROODS Announce Debut Album For Summer 2014

BROODS PREMIERE OFFICIAL VIDEO FOR CURRENT SINGLE ‘BRIDGES’
DEBUT ALBUM SET FOR RELEASE THIS SUMMER ON CAPITOL RECORDS

"Bridges," the debut single by the brother-sister duo Broods, freezes the listener in his or her tracks from the opening second.” – Billboard Magazine Hot on the heels of their SOLD OUT North American tour this spring, New Zealand duo BROODS premiered the official video for their current single “Bridges” today. View now on VEVO: http://smarturl.it/WatchBridges
Having posted “Bridges” on soundcloud and garnering more than half-a-million plays in just a couple of months, the brother/sister duo soon inked a deal with Capitol Records in late 2013, and released their self-titled and critically acclaimed debut EP in February of this year.
Described as “gorgeous pop music” by BILLBOARD Magazine, hailing their lead single “Bridges” as “startlingly good” and “stunning”, Idolator praised the pair’s body of work as “elegantly ethereal” with “songs that are lush and smoky, undulating and jittery,” comparing their sound to having a “distinctly Scandinavian feel.” MeanwhileVOGUE Magazine (US) exclaimed that Georgia Nott and big brother Caleb to be the “next best thing to come out of New Zealand since Lorde.” And VICE Magazine acknowledged the pair as “one of the quickest rising duos in electronic pop music at the moment.”
The stunning new video for “Bridges” was shot around the picturesque Castaic Lake in the Sierra Pelona Mountains of California by esteemed director Dori Oskowitz (Jack White/Cee Lo/Passion Pit/Raphael Saadiq). For the first time, fans are given the chance to see this mysterious musical duo up close and on screen in this cinematic music video that received it’s worldwide premiere today on VEVO .
Currently in the studio with Grammy Award winning producer Joel Little (Lorde/Pure Heroine), the band plan on releasing their debut album in North America this summer on Capitol Records, and in light of their recently sold out tour this spring, BROODS plan on announcing more tour dates and bigger venues very soon.
BROODS debut EP is available now on iTunes , Amazon and Spotify

BLACK LIPS TO TOUR WITH THE KING KHAN & BBQ SHOW

BLACK LIPS ANNOUNCE FALL TOUR WITH THE KING KHAN & BBQ SHOW
Fresh off a US tour with a plethora of sold out shows from coast to coast, Black Lips are once again preparing to hit the road in support of Underneath The Rainbow (Vice) this Fall with The King Khan & BBQ Show. This pairing has a storied history, from KK & BBQ's chaotic introduction as support on Black Lips' first European tour to the amalgamated supergroup of both acts as psych-gospel sextet The Almighty Defenders in 2009, and the resulting shows are certain to be legendary.
Underneath the Rainbow further demonstrates Black Lips' 15 year evolution from underground hellions to international ambassadors of rock-n-roll (via tours that have graced the likes of Iraq, Lebanon, Thailand, India, Mexico, and dozens more). While production credits from Patrick Carney of The Black Keys and Tommy Brenneck (Cee Lo, Dap Kings) help to spotlight the band's songcrafting, at their heart Black Lips are a vibrant and invigorating live act who thrive on getting a room moving.

In April, Fear of Men released their debut album, "Loom". They have just wrapped a full national tour of the US in support of The Pains of Being Pure at Heart.
