"Recreational Love, delivers more of the same smooth, dance-y tracks the band has always done so well." - American Songwriter "...Kurstin and George combine the muted sophistication of jazz with the undeniable people-pleasing qualities of synth-pop into one spritely package. After a decade together, the symbiotic relationship between these two continues to pay off, and Recreational Love is their slickest release yet." - Under the Radar "This record is a dance album at its core, but it has a chilled undercurrent that gives it a sensual vibe...George and Kurstin have made a soundtrack for laid-back summer nights." - ABC News

Wall of Death - new single + play Los Angeles tonight
WALL OF DEATH SHARES NEW SINGLE VIA NOISEY
PLAYING LOS ANGELES TONIGHT
LOVELAND OUT MARCH 4TH VIA INNOVATIVE LEISURE
After sharing their first single and announcing that they signed with Los Angeles label Innovative Leisure, Wall of Death is back today with their second single and a release date for their forthcomingLoveland. The band is also playing a free show in Los Angeles tonight, Friday January 15th at The Echo. The the second single from the album, "For A Lover", is now available on all streaming services and digital retailers. The band's lush and cinematic Loveland is due on March 4th via Innovative Leisure.
Psychedelic and dynamic, Loveland follows the band's desolate and heavy 2012 debut, Main Obsessions, and sees the band realizing their full potential. With able and agile studio help from producer Hanni El Khatib, engineers Jonny Bell (also of Innovative Leisure's Crystal Antlers) and Sonny DiPerri (Animal Collective, Portugal The Man), Wall of Death have created a dense and deeply individual album that makes an instant into a lifetime. There are no brutish garage ragers here, and no plotless jam sessions, either. Loveland is the definition of a slow-burn, with cinematic pace and limitless space and a Mellotron that's practically another member of the band.
Wall of Death is made up of Gabriel Matringe, the guitarist and ex-cello player, and Brice Borredon, who grew up in the country in the south of France and who dedicated himself completely to the piano at age 6, and Adam Ghoubali, who taught himself drums after hearing the Doors. Check out the new single and show details below.

New Song From The 1975 Available Now

NEW ALBUM TO BE RELEASED FEB 26
THOSE WHO PRE-ORDER WILL RECEIVE INSTANT DOWNLOADS OF “LOVE ME,” “UGH!” AND “THE SOUND”
THE 1975 NORTH AMERICAN HEADLINE TOUR ON SALE NOW
LISTEN HERE “THE SOUND”
SPOTIFY | APPLE MUSIC | SNIPPET
ALBUM PRE-ORDER January 15, 2016 —The 1975 will release their highly-anticipated second album I like it when you sleep, for you are so beautiful yet so unaware of it on February 26 via Dirty Hit/ Interscope Records. I like it when you sleep… is the follow-up to the quartet’s million-selling self-titled debut. It is a bold and brilliant record made up of infectious pop hooks and sprawling electro sonics, an ambitious stride forward for one of the UK’s most exciting young bands. It will be preceded by the gospel-tinged “The Sound,” which follows the hysterically-received “Love Me” and “UGH!” “The Sound” premiered yesterday in the UK on BBC Radio 1 DJ Annie Mac’s “Hottest Record.”
“In 2016, everything has been done,” says frontman Matty Healy. “You just have to try and do it better. My generation consumes music in this completely non-linear way and we reflect that, we create how we consume.”
The 1975 have had the sort of breakthrough that only happens once a decade. Healy, Adam Hann (guitar), Ross MacDonald (bass) and George Daniel (drums) formed at school on the outskirts of Manchester ten years ago. After years of honing their sound, 2013’s debut album revealed a band who could blend accessible and anthemic choruses with an artistic aesthetic. It was a record where indie-pop grooves and alt R&B atmospherics sat seamlessly next to each other. A mass audience connected with indelible tracks such as “Chocolate,” “Girls,” “Sex,” and “Robbers” and their tales of adolescent recklessness. The group toured the world, playing sold-out shows from Kuala Lumpur to San Francisco.
All these experiences feed into the band’s second album which was recorded in Los Angeles and produced by Healy and Daniel alongside production collaborator Mike Crossey. It distils their love of 80s sonics into something that sounds impossibly now, a record that shifts between shimmying guitar grooves (“She’s American,” “Love Me”), experimental electronic soundscapes (“I Like It When You Sleep…,” “Please Be Naked”) and cascading, adventurous pop songs (“If I Believe You,” “Lostmyhead,” “The Sound”) whilst always sounding part of the same whole. “Why create one type of music when nobody consumes one type of music?” says Healy. “The idea of rules in art is completely farcical.”

In 2015, Weezer found themselves without a record label for the first time in their career. With no set plan to make a full album, the band let the creativity they poured intoEWBAITE continue. Following the tremendous response to the two brilliant songs they released last year, the band decided it was time to cull what they'd been working on into a record. A self-proclaimed L.A. beach album, there's a lot we could say about The White Album, but we thought it best to have Weezer frontman Rivers Cuomo answer a few questions about it. Here we go... What was the inspiration behind the songs on this record? The inspiration behind the songs were my experiences hanging around the Westside of Los Angeles, which has been our home since Weezer began. Hanging out with people in Venice and Santa Monica, the beach, the Hare Krishnas, the Sikh on roller blades with the guitar, girls on Tinder within a 4 mile radius, seeing other bands, the kids from La Sera. I would just tweet out "does anybody wanna hang?" and then I'd get together with people who responded and talk about life. I love California. I wanted the album to make you feel like you were there with us SoCal weirdos even if you're in Milwaukee in December. How do you see this album as a "beach album"? Obviously my favorite band has always been The Beach Boys, and what I love about them most are the melodies and the chord progressions. I guess the harmonies too. And the orchestration. Can't forget about the lyrics. So basically everything. I wanted to get that kind of vibe: beautiful tunes and sweet lyrics. I also love the dark side of the beach - Venice after dark, hearing at the Del Monte Speakeasy about how the gangsters used to drag the bodies through the catacombs and leave them under the pier. What are you most excited/proud of with this album? I'm proud of the demented lyrics that are like, "What? Who says that? Who thinks that? What planet on am I on? I don't know, but I kinda wanna stay!" Welcome to our planet, people! After twenty-four years, we still love being in this band and we wanna keep it going for at least another fourteen years.

Bleached album Welcome the Worms
New Bleached album Welcome the Worms (out 4/1/16) + Spring US Tour

April 1st sees the release of Welcome The Worms , the ambitious new rock album by Los Angeles-basedBleached. While keeping the band's cheeky, California-punk in the forefront, Welcome The Worms is a smarter, heavier, emotionally deeper Bleached.
Sisters Jennifer (vocals, guitar) and Jessie Clavin (guitar, bass) knew things were going to be different for their sophomore album – not only had they managed to charm world-renowned producer and engineer Joe Chiccarelli (Morrissey, The Strokes, Elton John) and co-producer Carlos de la Garza (Paramore, YACHT) to join them and their bassist Micayla Grace in the studio, but Jen and Jessie had been crawling out of their own personal dramas. Jessie was evicted from her house and scrambling, while Jen ended a torrid, unhealthy romance. While emotionally spinning, she dove head first into music.
"I was a loose canon," the commanding front-woman says. "I was losing serious control of my personal and creative life. I was falling apart, trying to escape. I felt like Bleached was the only thing I actually cared about."
Throughout the record, Bleached paints a frivolous picture of Los Angeles: the life of eye rolling caused by dating men in bands, dirty Sunset Boulevard and futile drunken nights in a starstruck hole that made everyone from Charles Manson to Darby Crash to Marilyn Monroe stare up at the Hollywood sign for direction. Although a typical theme of ruined romance floats through the album, the real power is in Jen figuring out herself through lyrics so straight, identifiable and honest, a first for the girl who safely hid behind a cheeky misdemeanor.
"We don't want perfection because it's boring," Jen declares. "We want to make music that's as real as life."
Watch the Lana Kim-directed video for debut single "Keep On Keepin' On" which presents the essence ofWelcome The Worms and Bleached's newfound pop refinement.

For the past 15 years director Volker Schaner has followed Perry on a spiritual and geographical journey taking inJamaica, Ethiopia, Switzerland and London. Over this period Volker has earned Perry’s trust, resulting in a never-before-granted level of access and insight into Perrys’ fantastical, spiritual world. This classic-in-the-making tells a story of epic, magical proportions that’s not a biography, more fairytale documentary and art piece for itself, which is in turns funny, poetic and frequently mind blowing.
In addition to the filmed footage of the man himself, plus an all-star cast of dub and reggae-related musicians, Lee Scratch Perry’s Vision Of Paradise is illustrated by unique animated scenes. Using traditional painting techniques, the artist Maria Sargarodschi created imaginary characters of surprising contemporary style influenced by Ethiopian Christian Orthodox Church Art, Lee Perry’s imaginary cosmos and the Beatles’ Yellow Submarine.
The movie also serves as a unique documentation of Lee’s now infamous and already legendary “secret laboratory” in Switzerland, which despite its recent destruction by fire, is immortalised in celluloid. As well as being featured in the film, you can watch a specially-edited bonus tribute piece here. The DVD extras also include a photo gallery of Lee’s creative space in all its chaotic and artistic pre-fire glory.Other DVD extras include a a 24 page book, a 30 minute ‘making of’ documentary, director's comments and over 2 hours of additional unseen scenes.
Lee will also be performing the following live dates
