Tempers Release Video & Announce New EP

TEMPERS RELEASE VIDEO FOR 'STRANGE HARVEST’ AND ANNOUNCE DETAILS OF UPCOMING EP
‘FUNDAMENTAL FANTASY’ IS SET FOR RELEASE VIA THE VINYL FACTORY ON 24th FEBRUARY
"A slice of achingly melodic, drum machine-driven guitar: downcast and buoyant, terse and expansive, icy and sentimental" - The Fader
"They're a ticking time bomb at this point, ready to blow up at any minute." - Noisey
“Royal Trux and Crystal Castles walk into a bar, get sloshed on absinthe and cross- pollinate: Tempers walk out. Its atmospheric churn is an unnerving but thoroughly exhilarating experience.” - Drowned in Sound
‘Strange Harvest’ Video - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IXe9jw-M_Gk
NYC-based duo Jasmine Golestaneh and Eddie Cooper write songs through a telepathic kinship they’ve developed since they started making music together. "We have these sort of unspoken criteria when we're writing music. We never really need to explain what that is but we both know when it's missing or when we've hit it.” The pair, AKA Tempers, are set to release their ‘Fundamental Fantasy’ EP via The Vinyl Factory on 24th February. Creating an emotional and tonal tension of sensual and mechanical impulses, their brand of dark electronica sets haunting song writing to a sinister disco beat, pop melodies floating in an almost industrial soundscape. It follows the band’s 2015 debut full-length ‘Services.’ ‘Strange Harvest’ is taken for that and the video brings that campaign to a close and in turn introduces a new phase in the band’s lives.
“‘Fundamental Fantasy’ is about exploring the creative scenery of romantic illusions. Our need for them, how we justify them to ourselves, that moment when the imagined story line collides with reality. The ways we fictionalize people to fit into the narratives we have about love - to reflect our own beliefs, virtues and flaws. It is about celebrating fantasies swelling and getting undone, so we can pick up the pieces and craft new ones that serve us better” - Tempers
Musically, ‘Fundamental Fantasy’ is an evolution in both song writing and process, while still tracing a clear line to their earlier output. Many of the EP's melodies were born of live improvisation, which helped them create an instinctive, natural immediacy within their electronic arrangements. The cover of the EP depicts the duo on the volcanic island of Stromboli, where they performed at The Volcano Extravaganza, an art and music festival curated by The Vinyl Factory. “It is a perfect landscape to mirror the mood of ‘Fundamental Fantasy.’ A seemingly idyllic place that is isolated from the outside world.”

Bill Callahan Tours Northern California!

It's a brand new year, rife with uncertainty and trepidation as we inch closer and closer to a precarious political, social, and environmental climate! We don't know how you feel (actually, we do), but to us, that means it's time to turn toBill Callahan for that wise, confident and reliable voice - c'mon, how about a little darkness n' dry wit to match up with your general uncertainty? Oh, there's some love in there, too. We think. The people's choice might not be in the nation's highest office, but at least Bill Callahan serves as our representative on a more relatable level-music!
Bill Callahan is taking a cue from elderly snowbirds everywhere and spending the month of February enveloped by a more temperate climate, in Northern California.  It may not be the warmest part of the state, but things will definitely be heating up for Wild Bill and all those around him on his journey from Santa Cruz to Oakland! New songs? Classics? Hey, who's to say? As we can't predict this year for anyone,  who knows what's in store for Bill Callahan, or his fans, on tour and in 2017!
Tickets are moving quickly, be sure to get yours to the following dates as soon as possible!

2/1/17 at Don Quixote's International Music Hall in Santa Cruz, CA2/2/17 at Sweetwater Music Hall Mill in Valley, CA2/3/17 at Miner's Foundry Cultural Center in Nevada City, CA2/4/17 at Starline Social Club in Oakland, CA

NIN Not The Actual Events EP Out Now

nine inch nails Not The Actual Events NOT THE ACTUAL EVENTS EP OUT NOWLate last year, Reznor declared, "New NIN coming in 2016.  Other stuff, too.”  The other stuff amounted to the scores for NASA's Juno short film, the climate change documentary “Before the Flood” (featuring the song “A Minute To Breathe”) and the about-to-be-released Peter Berg film “Patriots Day”.  Now just in time he makes good on the Nine Inch Nails side of things. Not The Actual Events, the new 5 song EP finds Reznor and now official bandmate Atticus Ross taking an unexpected left turn from 2013’s  Hesitation Marks  and sounding unrecognizable from their current film work.“It’s an unfriendly, fairly impenetrable record that we needed to make” says Reznor.  “It’s an EP because that ended up being the proper length to tell that story.”Not The Actual Events is self-released and is available now on all digital platforms. The NIN store is offering two formats:  180g 1-sided Vinyl, and a unique limited Digital + Physical Component version. Preorders of 180g vinyl will receive high resolution digital files instantly.LISTENAPPLE MUSICSPOTIFYPURCHASE180GM VINYL & DIGITAL + PHYSICAL COMPONENT FROM NIN.COMITUNESAMAZONGOOGLE PLAY  [image error] BURNING BRIGHT (FIELD ON FIRE)

Singer-Songwriter Courtney Jaye & Zach Rogue of Rogue Wave Form Rogue + Jaye

SINGER-SONGWRITER COURTNEY JAYE AND ROGUE WAVE FRONTMAN, ZACH ROGUE, FORM ROGUE + JAYE

NEW TRACK, “FORCES OF DECAY,” NOW PREMIERING WITH ROLLING STONE COUNTRY

PENT UP, THE DUO’S FORTHCOMING FULL-LENGTH DEBUT ALBUM, TO BE RELEASED IN 2017

“The collaboration will tap into Jaye's gorgeously powerful pop vocals, Rogue's penchant for dreamy melodies and the way that, together, it all melds into something as informed by Belle and Sebastian and Mazzy Star as it is Ingrid Michelson.” – Rolling Stone Country
LISTEN: “FORCES OF DECAY” (VIA ROLLING STONE COUNTRY)
Photo: Barton BronsteinLos Angeles via Nashville singer-songwriter Courtney Jaye and Zach Rogue, frontman of the acclaimed Bay Area indie-rock band Rogue Wave, are pleased to announce Rogue + Jaye, the brand new musical partnership between the two artists. Stemming from a songwriting session between Rogue and Jaye that took place in December 2013, the two forged an easygoing spirit of collaboration and mutual respect over those sessions, all of which comes through on  Pent Up , the duo’s debut album that will see a 2017 release.
Forces Of Decay,” the first song from the forthcoming album to be released and that is now premiering on  Rolling Stone Country , is a track about seeking out safety and security in an otherwise turbulent world. "’Forces Of Decay’ is about intimacy with another person protecting you from the chaos outside the door,” says Jaye. “The world, now more than ever, seems to be a dark and confusing place. But you can build an insular world that no one can touch when you have love in your life." Check out the premiere of “Forces Of Decay” over at Rolling Stone Country  HERE
The upcoming release of Pent Up symbolizes a fresh start, creatively, for Jaye, whose path has taken her to Nashville, Atlanta, Austin, Los Angeles and beyond. "My decision to move back to Los Angeles after living in Nashville for nine years was because I needed a change,” she continues. “I think both places will always feel like a home to me and will forever occupy equal space in my heart and equal influence over my music and sound. I've never been a traditional Pop, Americana, or Country artist, and living out west right now represents for me the freedom to be untethered to one particular musical sound, scene, or genre. And I feel this project is an extension of that."
More details on Pent Up will be released in the new year.

LAUREL Unveils Visual for "Too Far"

Unveils Visual for "Too Far" viaW Magazine Park  EP Out Now via Counter Records

"The video for 'Too Far,' combines two narratives, anchored both by Audrey's mournful stare and Laurel's lyrics." -  W Magazine   "The British singer's PARK EP is expected to be released this November, and we can barely contain ourselves." -  Nylon  "The moody track shows off the Brit's velvet vocals and knack for writing a melancholy melody, while slightly veering away from cinematic sound of other dark-pop divas." -  Idolator   "'Hurricane,' hears the singer tap into her folkier rock side. Gone (for now) are the anxious melancholy strings, and in their place something more mature and content, but still completely reflective." -  V Magazine  London-based singer/songwriter/producer Laurel has released a raw, emotional visual narrative for her song "Too Far," directed by Kimbra Audrey -  PRESS HERE  to watch via W Magazine Laurel enchanted friends and critics alike with her new bold, mature sound with her recent EP  Park , which was released on November 18 via Counter Records. The EP tracks all charted on  Hype Machine  while receiving major support from radio tastemakers on both sides of the pond, including  BBC Radio 1,  Beats Radio and  KCRW The EP was written, performed, recorded, produced and mixed by Laurel in her London bedroom-based studio, showcasing a more stripped back, folk-rock sound and a preview of more to come on her debut album due in early 2017. www.classiclaurel.comTwitter | Facebook | Soundcloud | YouTubeInstagram
