Kasabian, one of the UK's most successful and beloved bands, have revealed plans for a run of North American live dates in September -including stops in New York City, DC, Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles and more.
The band released their sixth studio album  For Crying Out Loud  in the UK on May 5th, landing them their 5th UK #1 album. For Crying Out Loud is available on all DSPs in the US now via RED. The band will release a physical version of the LP in the US via Third Man Records on September 1st. Lead singles "You're In Love With A Psycho" and "Bless This Acid House" are buoyant, spirited sing-a-longs, bursting with the band's renowned swagger and brilliant knack for rousing choruses.
Kasabian have firmly established themselves as British national treasures, with a flawless discography and legions of fans. In the space of their previous five album releases they've pocketed a UK GRAMMY-equivalent BRIT Award, seven NME awards and four Q Awards. Their euphoric live sets have taken them to the headline spots at multiple music festivals, including the world's biggest: England's legendary Glastonbury Festival. It's been three years since North American fans were treated to a tour.  Watch the band perform "Bless This Acid House" live on the BBC's Later With Jools Holland.
Following the more electronic direction of 2014's acclaimed 48:13, Kasabian were keen to make a truly great guitar album. Serge Pizzorno says about For Crying Out Loud"We wanted to make a very positive album full of hope with guitars to remind people that it's still relevant." The result is one of the most energetic and dynamic rock records of the year. Kasabian are: Serge Pizzorno (guitar and vocals), Tom Meighan (vocals), Chris Edwards (bass), Ian Matthews (drums) and Tim Carter (Guitars).Tour Dates:Sept 14    New York, NY @ Terminal 5*Sept 15    Philadelphia, PA @ The Trocadero TheatreSept 16    Boston, MA @ Royale NightclubSept 18    Toronto, ON @ Rebel Complex*Sept 19    Chicago, IL @ House of Blues *Sept 23    Los Angeles, CA @ The Wiltern*Sept 24    San Francisco, CA @ Regency Ballroom*Sept 27    Mexico City, MX @ Pabellon Cuervo Palacio Del Los Deportes*

Teragram Ballroom Founders Expand To LA's Arts District: Announce The Moroccan Lounge: A New Live Music Venue Coming Fall 2017

TERAGRAM BALLROOM FOUNDERS EXPAND TO THE ARTS DISTRICT:
ANNOUNCE THE MOROCCAN LOUNGE:A NEW LIVE-MUSIC VENUE COMING FALL OF 2017
DUNCAN SMITH APPOINTED AS TALENT BUYER
***The principal owners of Downtown-LA's acclaimed music venue, the Teragram Ballroom, announce their latest addition to the LA live-music scene, The Moroccan Lounge. The new venue will open its doors in the LA Downtown Arts District in the fall of 2017.The Moroccan Lounge is located at one of the oldest liquor-licensed sites in LA, which has housed many businesses over the years-including a well-known diner, Little Pedro's, and according to popular rumor, a brothel. Now the storied location has been transformed into The Moroccan Lounge, an intimate live-music venue with unimpeded sight lines, exceptional acoustics and an environment that caters to both artists and audiences."It was important for me to open a little brother to the Teragram Ballroom - a fresh, sound-strong venue that supports bands, giving them that first step up to performing in a first rate, state-of-the-art venue," says co-founder Michael Swier, likening this venue's raison d'etre to that of his revered New York venue, the Mercury Lounge. "A venue the size and quality of The Moroccan Lounge develops bands with the kind of professional attention and treatment they will come to expect as their careers gain speed and they play the larger, more venerable venues."
The Moroccan Lounge accommodates approximately 275 people, and offers a large, static stage in an acoustically conditioned music room with adjacent green room, a comfortable lounge with a large bar and a restaurant.
"I feel very fortunate to have found this gem, with its perfect bones for music, in the Arts District," says Swier. "It's a vibrant neighborhood, new and familiar at the same time, acreative sense of place."
Co-founder Joe Baxley, who scouted the location, agrees. "The Downtown Arts District has become a real center of culture and entertainment, a place with a lot of activity. I can't think of a better location for The Moroccan Lounge," he says.
Located at 901 East 1th Street, The Moroccan Lounge is just off the 101. It is on the gold line near the Little Tokyo/Arts District Station.
"We were inspired by the building's existing Moorish style, which kindled memories of Tangier, and the iconic Café Baba, notorious haunt of rock legends," says project architect and co-founder, Brian Swier, who also designed the Teragram Ballroom, the Bowery Ballroom, the Mercury Lounge, among others. "While rock n' roll was my primary design mode, visitors can expect unusual details here -- some new, some vintage -- like unique wall coverings, exposed masonry, and salvaged ephemera."
Industry-veteran and LA resident, Duncan Smith, is The Moroccan Lounge's talent buyer. Smith was most recently a talent buyer at LA's The Resident and prior to that he worked at LA's Spaceland Presents. Both Scott Simoneaux, talent buyer for the Teragram Ballroom, and Johnny Beach, long time talent buyer for the Bowery Ballroom and partner in the Teragram Ballroom, will assist in the launch and oversight of The Moroccan Lounge's talent-buying department.

Seminal Southern California punk rock band CH3 are debuting a new "lyric" video today on The Hard Times.Check out "The God That You Deserve" here:http://thehardtimes.net/music/doctor-advises-musician-seek-help-band-lasts-longer-three-decades/In detailing the clip for the band's politically-charged track, video producer Jay Lansford explains, "The idea was to create a promo clip to enhance the lyrics to the song without using written text. Proper signed language uses a combination of hands, arms, and body movements, as well as facial expressions. This is more of a choreographed performance using elements of signing, mime and commonplace hand gestures set to music, as opposed to a word for word translation. One camera, one shot - no cuts."Lansford adds, "The song begins with the two pairs of hands showing their obvious similarities before their differences become noticeable and struggle ensues. As the story develops, both pairs discover that they have much in common and by the end they undress and copulate. Love your neighbor as yourself."Last month, in tandem with an appearance at Punk Rock Bowling, the band announced an August 18th release for 'Put 'Em Up', their first complete album of news songs in over 15 years.CH3 will be playing a series of shows this summer and fall, including a stint at It's Not Dead Festival 2 on August 26, alongside Rancid, Dropkick Murphys, Buzzcocks and many more."The God That You Deserve," and a second track ("Not That It Matters") are currently available for purchase on all DSPs, while the full album is now available for pre-order at: https://channelthree.bandcamp.com/album/put-em-up-2Contemporaries of fellow So Cal punks Social Distortion, Bad Religion, T.S.O.L., Circle Jerks, etc., CH3 has been steadily touring the world since first forming in Cerritos, CA in 1980.With 'Put 'Em Up', CH3 has delivered a career-defining album. Written and recorded in the wary post-election days of 2017, the collection of 10 songs are connected as a tightly focused novella, a ‘concept album’ by nature of the timeframe and frame of mind that it was recorded in.A timely and urgent commentary on current events, with lyrics inspired by the clean, visceral, and cinematic writings of Jim Harrison ("Legends Of The Fall"), some of the songs reference back to the band's earlier political works such as "Manzanar", as those concerns seem more relevant than ever.Other songs deal with the politics of the heart and themes that have become a trademark of the bittersweet CH3 songbook. The music remains refined punk with traces of classic '77 Brit to 80's hardcore, power pop rock, which combined, make up the CH3 sound.'Put 'Em Up' was produced by Jay Lansford (Agent Orange) and features artwork by esteemed artist Lucky Nakazawa. The album will be released via all digital retailers and on vinyl through TKO Records.Upcoming shows:Aug 26 Glen Helen Amphitheater formerly San Manuel Amphitheater San Bernardino, CA (It's Not Dead)Oct 21 Remember The Punks 2 Festival San Antonio, TXMore dates to be announced.ch3 put em cover cover use this

The Mynabirds Announce New Album BE HERE NOW Today + Share Track

The Mynabirds Announce New Album BE HERE NOW  Today

Listen + Share First Single “Cocoon”  Here

Three Song EP Bundle Available with Pre-Order  Here

LA Show at Bootleg Theater on August 25,
On Sale Tomorrow (June 30)  Here

The Mynabirds have announced their new album  BE HERE NOW  which will be released over the course of the summer on three EPs each featuring three songs, and out in full on August 25 via Saddle Creek. To celebrate, Billboard has premiered the first track“Cocoon,” which appears on the first EP release out June 30. Listen and share “Cocoon” here and Pre-Order BE HERE NOW here.

Billboard describes “Cocoon” as “cosmological, as if its twinkling production and Burhenn’s voice could transport the listener to another planet far away from Earth.”

BE HERE NOW is a collection of 9 songs written and recorded in just 2 weeks in January 2017 following the Inauguration and the Women’s March. Singer Laura Burhenn worked with producer Patrick Damphier in his Nashville studio (which he was being evicted as the neighborhood began to gentrify, old warehouses turning to tech offices and luxury condos) to document the news and peoples’ intense emotional responses to it all in real time. No stranger to politics in her songwriting, Laura aimed to speak from the voice of the collective consciousness in a work of “Emotional Journalism,” singing the heartbreak, anger, exhaustion and resolute hope she witnessed during the Muslim travel ban, the final stand at Standing Rock, and every other news story that rattled America in that period. The album vacillates in style and feel to reflect a frayed nation, featuring a Burundian refugee choir on one song, and a cacophony of dissonant saxophones in a new national anthem on another. It is the last recording made in that space.

BE HERE NOW is being released very quickly as 3 digital EPs over 3 months to emphasize the immediacy of the songs. It will culminate in an official full album release on Saddle Creek on August 25, 2017.

The Mynabirds will be performing at Los Angeles’ Bootleg Theater on August 25. Tickets will be available tomorrow (June 30) at 10am PST here.

"Time moves forward, but then backward as memory. The image of the two-faced Roman god Janus, who can look into the past and future, is the core visual language."
WATCH THE CASEY REAS DIRECTED VIDEO FOR "GUILTY PARTY" HERE  Last week in Paris and the UK, The National performed new material off the forthcoming album for audiences for the first time. Portions of their victorious main stage set at Glastonbury can be viewed via the BBC. NME said in reviewing the Glastonbury performance, "their set's only flaw: it just all ended too soon. But the impact they made was immense. They've played the long game, and they've won. It's time for the world's biggest cult band to become a whole new beast."
The National will tour across the world in support of the album, kicking off in Cork, Ireland on September 16th. Highlights include Forest Hills Stadium in New York on October 6th, The Hollywood Bowl on October 11th and multiple night residencies in more than 10 cities across Europe and North America. Every ticket for previously announced shows in North America includes a digital copy of Sleep Well Beast delivered on September 8th.

WATCH & SHARE: Fruit & Flowers - "Out Of Touch""Surf rock with a side of gloom, Drug Tax is the perfect record for warring with sticky subway seats (“Subway Surfer”) hanging at the beach under a black umbrella (“Dark Surf”) and just generally sweating out the summer sans AC (“Pick Fairy”)."

'“Subway Surfer” is a straight up punk stomper."

"If you go to a lot of DIY-ish shows in NYC chances are you’ve seen Fruit & Flowers, one of the hardest working new bands of the moment, making super-catchy indie rock."

"Brooklyn band that's been playing a gazillion shows lately (and seem to have as many scheduled), which is always a good sign."
- The Deli NYC Today, Brooklyn-based "surf noir" band Fruit & Flowers share their debut EP, Drug Tax, exclusively on  TIDAL . The EP is out on all digital streaming platforms on June 30th via Little Dickman Records.

The band debuted their first single and music video on  Brooklyn Vegan . Watch "Out Of Touch"HERE. Their second single and video, "Subway Surfer," premiered on She Shredswho say, "The video gives us a peek into their stellar live shows, which are a lot more than a good-time punk rock party. FxF’s dead perfect vocal harmonies and guitar interplay clearly displays a band operating with a fully formed idea and a love for their respective instruments."

Fruit & Flowers are one of the most active bands in the NYC area, and have been deemed one of "NYC's Hardest Working Bands" by Oh My Rockness. The band embarks on its third tour of 2017 in July to Canada and the Midwest in support of Drug Tax. Fruit & Flowers' exuberant, electric performances draw a local following. Ana Becker's angular, expressive guitar style and Lyzi Wakefield's gritty rhythmic backbone merge a post-punk heaviness with psychedelic warmth. Committed and charismatic front woman Caroline Yoder summons a fervent energy, surrounded by distinct, warm and refreshing three part harmonies, the bedrock of Fruit and Flowers' sound.

Conceived in a Bushwick loft with broken AC during the summer of 2015 by Caroline on bass and Shaw Walters on drums, the band was soon joined by Lyzi Wakefield and Ana Becker on guitars and vocals. The band agreed to play its first show at Northside festival just weeks after formation and wrote the record in a furious fit of hot nights and inspired mornings. The band became fully realized when Shaw handed the role of drummer to Jose Berrio (drummer-cum-art director), whose inimitable style elevates the strong rhythmic character of the band.

Drug Tax was born out of necessity, capturing the grit and rush of New York City summer and the newfound chemistry between the bandmates. Weaving together the perspectives and expressions of the band's multiple songwriters, Drug Tax unfolds to present the unique and varied voice of Fruit & Flowers. Lead single "Out Of Touch" is about the ennui of a missed love opportunity, with soaring, sultry vocals, beachy surf rock riffs and fuzzy bass. Album tracks range from the sultry moody and beautiful "Dark Surf" to the post-gothic title track "Drug Tax."

Drug Tax was recorded at Thump Studios in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. The EP was engineered and co-produced by John Thayer, and mixed and mastered by George Harris. Jose Berrio designed the band's logo and album art. TOUR DATES
