"Monky Disco" is off the band's debut self titled album, released this fall via Danger Mouse's 30th Century Records/Columbia Records.  Around its release The Babe Rainbow shared magical videos for album tracks "Peace Blossom Boogy," "Losing Something," and "Johny Says Stay Cool."
In support of  The Babe Rainbow  release the band toured North America playing to packed houses from coast to coast including a sold-out stop at Brooklyn's Baby's All Right and a much-talked-about slot at the Desert Daze Festival.  With today's remix they announce dates for a 2018 headline UK tour followed by European shows - all dates below.  The seeds of The Babe Rainbow were sown when Jack "Cool-Breeze" and Angus Darling The Hothouse Flower started a song writing partnership at high school, but the band didn't fully-bloom until late in 2015 when, travelling through France, the duo met Venezuelan pianist Lu-Lu-Felix Domingo and became a trio. The band has previously released a self-titled EP featuring the single "Secret Enchanted Broccoli Forest." Recorded in "magicland" Byron Bay where the band is based, and produced by Stu Mackenzie of King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard, The Babe Rainbow's first LP is a think piece, stories from the dreamtime, all the colors of the rainbow. Moderating the discussion will be T. Cole Rachel of The Creative Independent. The Brooklyn event follows a similar occasion held earlier this month at Rough Trade East in London with Throbbing Gristle’s Cosey Fanni Tutti and Chris Carter. The Rough Trade event coincides with the first in a series of reissues on Mute, starting with the 40thanniversary of their debut album release, The Second Annual Report.

On November 24,  The Second Annual Report , presented as a limited edition white vinyl release in the original packaging and also on double CD, and  20 Jazz Funk Greats , on green vinyl and double CD, will be released along with,  The Taste Of TG : A Beginner’s Guide to Throbbing Gristle with an updated track listing that will include “Almost A Kiss” (from 2007’s Part Two: Endless Not). This will be the first time The Taste Of TG has been available on vinyl and will be presented on double red vinyl alongside a CD and digital release. The Second Annual Report, the first album from Throbbing Gristle, came out originally on November 4, 1977 and launched the career of one of the most politically and sonically antagonistic bands of all time.

Throbbing Gristle are Chris Carter, Peter 'Sleazy' Christopherson (who sadly passed away on November 25, 2010), Cosey Fanni Tutti and Genesis Breyer P-Orridge. Their impact on music, culture and the arts is immeasurable and still felt today.

November’s anniversary releases will be followed by further catalog releases in 2018.

Pere Ubu are hitting the road with the music from their new album, ’20 Years In A Montana Missile Silo’ (Cherry Red Records distributed by MVD, release date 29th September 2017), starting with the east coast of America. ‘The MonkeyNet Tour’ will deliver an hour-long set of new songs, peppered with a couple of tracks from previous albums and David Thomas’ infamous narratives in-between. On the choice of tour name, Mr Thomas says, “An infinite number of monkeys clicking on an infinite number of links will yield nothing but an infinite number of bananas.”

With the new track ‘Monkey Bizness’ giving a taster of what’s to come, anticipation of hearing the new album is high and, along with the rave reviews of their live performances last year, fans are guaranteed a Pere Ubu show unlike those that have gone before, but with all the same extraordinary components.

Coming to Blu-ray on November 21st [image error] Alamo Drafthouse's American Genre Film Archive, the largest non-profit genre film archive in the world, andSomething Weird are excited to announce an November 21st release of THE VIOLENT YEARS on Blu-ray. After a successful Kickstarter campaign in 2015, AGFA purchased a 4K film scanner to create new digital transfers of titles from the Something Weird library. THE VIOLENT YEARS is the third release of dozens in this partnership, following THE ZODIAC KILLER and BAT PUSSY. Written by legendary Hollywood outsider Edward D. Wood, Jr. (PLAN 9 FROM OUTER SPACE, GLEN OR GLENDA), THE VIOLENT YEARS is the story of Paula Parkins (Jean Moorehead), a good-girl-gone-bad who leads her degenerate teenage hellcats down a path of gas station hijackings, pajama party orgies, and cold-blooded murder! From Wood's patently deranged dialogue to the scene where the gang performs a "man attack," THE VIOLENT YEARS is an essential exposé on crime, gender politics, and sweater-stealing. CONFIRMS DATES ON THE WEST COAST

In advance of a string of West-Coast dates, Nedelle Torrisi is happy to reveal a new single, "Love to the Limit ."   Rookie  has called her music "full of smooth and synth-y grooves" and while this newest track hones in on those sounds, it also marks a leap forward in both her songwriting and production.  Torrisi says of "Love to The Limit," "if someone is fake or half-way about giving you love, whether in a relationship or friendship, then it's not worth your time. You deserve better. So I wrote this Reggaeton type song- 'Love to the limit. Can you give it? If it's not all the way then I can't be in it.'"

Torrisi has just signed to Frenchkiss Records and today's single marks her first for the label.  She has confirmed select West Coast dates that start with a show on November 28 at Los Angeles' No Name.  She kicks off 2018 with a date at The Battery in San Francisco on January 4.  All dates are below with more to be added.
Earlier this year Torrisi teamed with Julia Holter, and Nite Jewel to record their take on Depeche Mode's "Condemnation" which was released via Domino Records. Previous to that she last released music in 2015 by way of the LP Advice From Paradise.
The Los Angeles-based Nedelle Torrisi has been playing music her entire life. And while her early emphasis was on jazz, (she has a degree in jazz music history) her musical career - from her previous solo albums to her work with Cryptacize (her band with Chris Cohen) has always contained more of a 90s-R&B sensibility.  Beyond her own work Torrisi has contributed and played with a number of artists and bands whose ranks include Ariel Pink, Dev Hynes and Sufjan Stevens.  Nedelle's accomplishments extend to being the "Dear Abby"of the indie rock world by way of  a column called "Advice from Paradise," where she offers song recommendations to accompany her words of advice to those that wrote asking for help.   The New York Times  has said Nedelle has " a guileless voice, an instrument of earnest pleasure and petition" and  Stereogum  has noted her music has "80s synths that imply carefree pop, but Torrisi's gorgeous, layered vocals add depth that the '80s themselves never achieved."  Watch for more news on Nedelle Torrisi in early 2018!
