OCTOBER US HEADLINE TOUR

Rocket by Tanner Deutsch

Early Praise for Rocket:

“an explosive introduction.. levels up their dynamic, Nineties-inspired rock sound” - Rolling Stone

“nods to ’90s indie rock staples..blissfully detached dream-pop..hard-hitting numbers..Rocket have built themselves a solid launching pad” - Stereogum ‘Best New Artists of 2024’

"It's rare to find a band so fully developed without an album out.. they're certainly not lacking in the songwriting department” - Consequence ‘Artists to Watch in 2025’

"combines a laid-back California charm with biting lyricism and tight, synergetic compositions. If Sonic Youth made pop chart-friendly hits, you’d have Rocket"- Paste Magazine

"The harmonies glide, whereas the riffy, daydreamy guitars build to a glorious climax in the back half, reminiscent of Sonic Youth and Momma" - Alternative Press ‘Rising Artists to Know’

“this underground band are making big, open-hearted anthems for a new generation to rally around” - NME ‘Cover Story’

"catchy, yearning ballads that evoke nostalgia for adolescent frustrations” - Document Journal

"a guitar-heavy alt-rock radio ripper. Alithea Tuttle’s vocals float atop the shredding guitars and fill-heavy drums, giving the song some nice dynamism" - FLOOD Magazine on “Wide Awake”

Los Angeles, CA’s Rocket recently announced their highly anticipated debut album, R is for Rocket, due out Oct 3rd via Transgressive Records / Canvasback. Today, they’ve shared the album’s third single, “Another Second Chance,” alongside an iconic music video featuring a medley of homages to Devo, Kiss, The Beatles, and Blue Man Group. Vocalist Alithea Tuttle explains the track is “an ode to never feeling good enough,” and describes the dreamy, hypnotic outro as “one of my favorite moments in writing this record.” The band was recently named ‘Best of What’s Next’ by Paste Magazine, who described them as “Sonic Youth writing songs for the pop charts.” They’ve also announced a 2026 headline tour of Europe, on-sale this Friday at 10am local time.

Comprised of Tuttle (vocals, bass), Baron Rinzler (Guitar), Cooper Ladomade (Drums) and Desi Scaglione (Guitar), Rocket have had a busy few years. The Los Angeles crew with friendships stretching back to their childhood formed in 2021, convening in an unmarked shed to put their debut EP to tape. Despite it being the first time any of them had seriously approached the idea of a ‘band,’ they seemed to arrive fully formed with combustible, airtight songs.

R is for Rocket, the quartet’s remarkable debut album, is a joyride through sonic terrain that is gloriously loud, anthemic, bombastic and beautiful, with instantly captivating songs that achieve the rare feat of evoking nostalgia while sounding completely new. The band’s jagged, fuzzed-out sound has antecedents in ‘90s guitar bands like Sonic Youth and My Bloody Valentine, but Rocket are doing something uniquely their own with those touchstones. It’s no wonder they are widely considered one of the most promising guitar-forward bands of their generation.

While the album builds on the energy of their critically lauded Versions of You EP, R is for Rocket is also hugely evolutionary, elevating the band’s craft in major ways. By the time they began work on the album in early 2024, they’d been on a near constant touring schedule, spending countless hours on the road opening for their heroes Ride, Sunny Day Real Estate and Silversun Pickups, and writing in their modest studio – a back house in drummer Cooper Ladomade’s parents’ yard – both refining and expanding their sound.

This Fall, Rocket will embark on their debut US headline tour, kicking off in October after having wrapped international festival appearances and a UK run supporting Smashing Pumpkins. Tickets on sale HERE.

Rocket’s 2023 debut EP was praised by Pitchfork, Rolling Stone, Stereogum, Brooklyn Vegan, Paste, and Consequence, among others, and landed the band their first cover story at NME. The forward momentum put the band on the road for most of 2024, opening for iconic bands like The Pixies’ Frank Black, Ride, Sunny Day Real Estate, Silversun Pickups, and peers including Julie, Bar Italia, Hotline TNT & more. The band appeared on festival stages around the world, including Way Out West, Greenman Festival, Pitchfork London & Paris, Bumbershoot, Best Friends Forever, and many more.

The quartet have been slowly releasing their first new music since the 2023 EP this year, sharing album cuts “Crossing Fingers” & “One Million,” before formerly announcing the album in July with the head turning “Wide Awake,” which arrived alongside an in-depth Rolling Stone profile, and support from Alt Press, Stereogum, Brooklyn Vegan, FLOOD Magazine, Paste Magazine, Consequence and many more, and was followed by the euphoric and sparkling “Act Like Your Title.”

WIDE AWAKE” “CROSSING FINGERS,” “ONE MILLION” & “ACT LIKE YOUR TITLE

“All of the touring led to the songs changing for the better,” says Tuttle, “because we got to play them for so many different kinds of audiences and hear what worked and what didn’t.” Whenever they got home from a tour, they were infused with new ideas for how to finish the in-progress tunes, and many were upgraded in major ways thanks to the time Rocket took to hone them. “Recording the second half of the album eight months after the first half gave us a lot of time to think about what we were doing,” says Scaglione. “We ended up re-recording three songs because we felt like we could just do better.”

With guitarist Desi Scaglione again at the helm as their producer, Rocket logged time at two Los Angeles studios that provided the perfect balance between those extremes. They tracked the more introspective elements at 64 Sound in Highland Park, which offered an array of tasty vintage gear that was ideal for the quieter, more intimate tunes. The heavier moments were captured during sessions at the Foo Fighters’ Studio 606 in Northridge, where they could get the massive drum sound they wanted for tracks like “Crossing Fingers” and “Wide Awake.”

Listen to 'Mejor O Empeorar' On YouTube: Critical Praise for  Crying The Neck
"A cleansing, literary, and intricate album, Crying the Neck not only feels like a rebirth for one of this century’s most unique artists, but perhaps the melancholy statement we need to meet these difficult times.” SPIN
"Crying the Neck is a mystical and grand return for one of the great art-pop auteurs of the aughts, hopefully back to stay.” The Needle Drop
“...he’s an incredibly compelling record maker and songwriter, a true world-builder in the finest fashion of one-man-studio-savants.” Spectrum Culture
“Beautiful... The album swings between the tender and the bruised throughout, with Wolf’s voice going from a whisper to a soar, all resulting in a most welcome return for this most singular artist.”  Uncut – 8/10  “A song cycle drawing a line between Rufus Wainwright maximalism and The Waterboys... Breathtaking.” MOJO – 4 stars ****  “Epic comeback from the prince of orchestral art-pop. It’s as widescreen as anything he’s done.”  Record Collector – 4 stars ****  “Monumental... genius... A cathartic, erudite, and complex work that serves as the beginning of a new chapter for Wolf.” The Quietus (Album of the Week)  “A complex treatise on seasonal life in Britain... At the heart of it all is a hopeful study of overcoming grief, wrapped in the language of folkloric ritual.” The Times – 4 stars ****  “Utterly sumptuous... Some of the prose here is as astounding as it is heartbreaking... It demands your attention” God is in The TV – 9/10  “A ravishing song cycle... this is a bold, inventive and life-affirming return.” The Sun – 4 stars ****  “An album of startling beauty... A glorious return from one of our most distinctive artists.” MusicOMH – 4 stars **** (Album of the Week)  “Crying The Neck is fabulous and quite remarkable.” Rock’n’Reel – 4 stars ****  “A riveting record rich with cathartic honesty, Crying The Neck marks a truly emphatic return.” Clash  “Staggeringly beautiful... One of the finest singers of the modern generation... This album is a really accomplished feat of studio brilliance and lovingly crafted melodies.” Echoes and Dust  “Wolf remains one of the most gifted artists of his generation... he’s at the peak of his powers... Crying The Neck finds him getting into his stride again.” The Line Of Best Fit  “Dramatic, emotionally charged, powerful chamber pop... this is inspirational and passionate work.”  The Song Bar
The aftermath of addiction, crisis, bankruptcy, recovery and survival shaped  The Night Safari Patrick Wolf’s 2023 return to music after ten years lost to creative impasse and personal upheaval. Now, with seventh studio album  Crying The Neck , the 41-year-old has created a confident and hopeful record inspired by the transfiguring power of grief at the death of his mother, rehabilitation, local folklore and the East Kentish landscape.  Crying The Neck , his first new album in thirteen years and the first in a planned four album series, was written and recorded in the Kent coastal town of Ramsgate that Wolf now calls home. Here, he has a peaceful studio in the garden, the place in which he was able to find his voice again. In a period of rebuilding,  Crying The Neck  was entirely written, composed, produced and arranged by Wolf himself, with Brendan Cox brought in as co-producer and engineer in the last three years to help finish an album a decade in the making.
The complexity of nationhood, personhood and grief that  Crying The Neck  embraces is summed up by the appearance on the album of a the recording of the writer Vita Sackville-West reading the line “faith, doubt, perplexity, grief, hope, despair”, from her poem ‘The Land’. “The quote is important because it’s acceptance and acknowledgement,” says Wolf.  Crying The Neck  finishes on the Foreland peninsula, looking out over the North Sea, reflecting on the transience of life, but also progress. “I wanted a song of experience at the end, a preparation for a shift into a more urgent mortality,” Wolf explains. “I do feel like I have a certain amount of time left, to do the work that I want to do, and a certain amount of time left to not do the work as well, and to live.” About Patrick Wolf:Patrick Wolf is a visionary singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist whose songs inhabit a world between the mythic and the deeply personal. Emerging with his debut  Lycanthropy  (2003), he quickly established himself as an artist of rare originality, blending folk, electronic, and classical influences into a sound entirely his own. Albums such as  Wind in the Wires  (2005) and  The Magic Position  (2007) showcased his gift for marrying emotional candor with sweeping, often orchestral arrangements. Renowned for his striking stage presence and ever-evolving aesthetic, Wolf has built a career on constant reinvention and remains one of the most distinctive voices of his generation.

Mimi Webb Shares Official Music Video For "I Met A Boy"

MIMI WEBB SHARES “I MET A BOY” MUSIC VIDEO –  OUT TODAY

FROM SOPHOMORE ALBUM CONFESSIONS –  OUT NOW
[EPIC RECORDS] WATCH
“I MET A BOY”

CONFESSIONS

British pop sensation Mimi Webb unveils the official music video for “I Met A Boy,” the radiant single from her sophomore album  Confessions  (Epic Records), out now. Directed by Avesta Keshtmand, the visual captures Mimi at her most intimate and playful, balancing carefree joy with moments of self-reflection. Shot across cozy apartments, bustling city streets, and sunlit cafés, the video unfolds like a peek into Mimi’s personal camera roll — equal parts spontaneous and cinematic.

Watch the official music video for “I Met A Boy”  HERE .

Speaking about “I Met A Boy,” Mimi reveals, “‘I Met a Boy’ is probably one of the more unique songs on the album. I had so much fun trying out a more R&B sound, which hasn’t really influenced my music until now, and I’m definitely excited to explore it further in my future work. We’ve all flirted with someone, only to find out they’re already in a relationship, so I hope this song feels relatable to many.”

Released last week,  Confessions  marks Mimi Webb’s boldest and most personal body of work to date. Written and recorded between Los Angeles and London, the album is an honest exploration of heartbreak, empowerment, and self-discovery, while delivering the soaring pop songs that first put her on the map.

With songs like the biting empowerment anthem “Narcissist,” the playful “Love Language,” and the emotional centerpiece “You Don’t Look At Me The Same,” the record cements Mimi as one of pop’s most compelling voices. “I Met A Boy” serves as one of its most luminous highlights, showcasing her candid lyricism and a new R&B-influenced edge.

Listen to Confessions  HERE .

“I am so proud of this album. Confessions has helped me grow both as a person and as an artist,” Mimi explains. “The themes I was able to explore through these songs taught me so much about myself and gave me real confidence. I’m also incredibly proud of the creative side of this record — every video, every photoshoot holds so much of me. This project, as a whole, is the most authentically ‘me’ thing I’ve ever done.”

A standout moment is the album’s emotional centerpiece, “You Don’t Look At Me The Same.” Stripped back to somber piano and minimal production, the ballad spotlights Mimi’s most vulnerable vocal performance as she faces the slow unraveling of a once-close relationship. The song swells toward a heartbreaking realization as she pleads, “Please tell me I’m not seeing straight, what’s changed? Oh, you don’t look at me the same.” Watch the powerful Jake Erland-directed music video for “You Don’t Look At Me The Same” HERE.

On “I Love You For Me,” co-written with Amy Allen and John Ryan, Mimi flips the script on a classic love song, pleading for true commitment with the piercing line, “Don’t you ruin, I love you for me.” She also leans into playful empowerment on “Love Language” (WATCH), embracing freedom from labels and expectations.  Elsewhere, “Crashing Out” — Mimi’s second collaboration with GRAMMY Award® winner and labelmate Meghan Trainor, following their playful single “ Mind Reader ” earlier this year — surges with manic energy and raw urgency. “Side Effects” captures the addictive highs and lows of heartbreak, while the scathing “Narcissist,” one of Mimi’s boldest tracks yet, delivers a fiery kiss-off that premiered earlier last week on Apple Music’s New Music Daily with Zane Lowe.

Across all 12 tracks, Mimi surrounded herself with a trusted circle of collaborators — including Amy Allen, Julia Michaels, Jason Evigan, Jordan Riley, and more — to bring her most personal and uncompromising vision to life. The result is a record that finds her standing taller than ever, baring her soul while embracing the euphoric spirit of pop.

With over a billion global streams, sold-out tours across continents, and a BRIT Award nomination under her belt, Mimi Webb continues to cement her place as one of pop’s most compelling voices. In 2024, she lit up the stages of major festivals like Lollapalooza, Governors Ball, Osheaga, and Outside Lands, and hit the road with the Jonas Brothers and Benson Boone. Now, with momentum at an all-time high, Mimi is set to kick off The Confessions Tour later this month, bringing her powerhouse vocals and emotionally charged new material to fans across the UK and Europe. Agriculture share new track “Dan’s Love Song”

Agriculture share new track / visualizer “Dan’s Love Song

Their new LP The Spiritual Sound is out October 3

See Agriculture on tour Oct-Dec [NYC, AUS, ATL, PHL, PHX, SEA, PDX, SF, LA + more...]

Photo by Milan Aguire | Hi-res here

The forthcoming full-length from Los Angeles–based band AgricultureThe Spiritual Sound, traces a narrative arc through extremes.  The LP is largely a fusing of the visions of its two principal songwriters: Dan Meyer and Leah Levinson.  Though distinct, their voices converge in a singular spiritual grammar—one that defines the totality of The Spiritual Sound, not as separate parts, but as one unified expression.

Dan writes like someone clawing toward the divine through noise, channeling Zen Buddhism, historical collapse, ecstatic grief. Leah’s songs move differently: grounded in queer history and AIDS-era literature, amid the suffocating fog of the present, they carry the weight of survival as daily ritual. Dan takes the lead on their next release, a quieter moment amongst the chaos. About the track, he says: “This is a love song to a future child. It is so moving to me that even though this child does not exist in the form of a child yet, all of the matter that will one day make up their being is already in the world. And of course this is true of all things that have ever existed. So even though I’m talking about a kid that I want to have one day, I’m really talking about the principle that everything is totally connected.”

Watch / share "Dan's Love Song" on YouTube

Agriculture’s formation mirrors their duality. What began as a loose collaboration between Kern Haug and Dan Meyer in the Los Angeles noise scene evolved into a shared pursuit of the sublime through heavy music. With the additions of Richard Chowenhill and Leah Levinson, the project solidified into the band’s current form. The ecstatic black metal foundation that was laid on 2022’s The Circle Chant expanded into something more precise and far-reaching on their 2023 self-titled full-length, and deepened further with 2024’s Living Is Easy: a record that embraced devotional intensity and radiant heaviness in equal measure.

Agriculture’s writing process is built on dismantling and revision of self. Dan and Leah bring songs to the band and then allow them to be pulled apart and rebuilt communally: reshaped through conflict, repetition, and deep trust. Richard adds guitar melodies and solos, and Kern constructs rhythms which are sometimes familiar but often unconventional. Finally, with Richard producing, the final form of each song is realized through intense collaborative work in the studio. Although a time consuming and ego-frustrating process, this allows the band to find the spirit of the songs not through inspiration, but through persistence.

Yet, even in its most ambitious moments, The Spiritual Sound remains rooted in the ordinary and in the day-to-day relationships between the people who made it. Gas station snacks. Inside jokes. Sleeping on floors. Playing shows in rooms that smell like mildew. The spirit here isn’t abstract, it’s live. This is spiritual music that starts with imperfect gear and a long-in-the-tooth tour van.

Agriculture doesn’t offer salvation. The Spiritual Sound isn’t a map out of the fire. What it offers instead is presence: a confrontation with the moment, however unbearable, however divine. It insists that meaning is still possible, even in a world hell-bent on reducing everything to content, and where suffering itself can be conducive to recovery. As the Buddhist saying goes: “the only way out is in.”

Felsmann + Tiley Share New Track "Warnung" || New Album 'Protomensch' Out 2/13 On Mute

 FELSMANN + TILEY
SHARE NEW TRACK “WARNUNG”

NEW ALBUM PROTOMENSCH
OUT 2/13 ON MUTE

Following the recent announcement of their upcoming album Protomensch (out 2/13 on Mute), today German synth-duo Felsmann + Tiley (Dominik Felsmann and Patrick Tiley) have shared “Warnung,” a baleful, pulsating track, filled with siren-esque warnings that heighten the sonic tension along with its accompanying video. They have also shared a trailer for their striking and immersive live set.

Listen to “Warnung” HERE.

Watch the trailer for their live set, featuring “Gabriel” HERE.

Pre-order Protomensch HERE.

Speaking on the track the band say: “This episode exposes the Protomensch’s brutal transformation from builder to breaker, creator turned annihilator. Nietzsche nailed it 140 years ago: “If a temple is to be erected, a temple must be destroyed: that is the law.”

“We conjure the siren of doom. Then we put on our noise-cancelling headphones and drive straight off that cliff.”

“Warnung” follows the previous release of album tracks “Warum”“Open Fields (Ft. The Kite String Tangle)” and “Gabriel

About Felsmann + Tiley

How long can an artist with instantly recognizable sound stay anonymous? For years, apparently. Take Felsmann + Tiley’s reinterpretation of M83’s “Solitude,” a track that has over 200 million streams to date. Very few of those listeners know the story of evolution behind the German producer-duo’s drumless synthwave melding Cliff Martinez-style maximum emotional impact with Nils Frahm’s neoclassical minimalism. Nor are they familiar with their body of work that has reached wider audiences after featuring on BAFTA-winning crime series “Top Boy” and Acne Studios fashion shows. Slated for release in February 2026, their upcoming album Protomensch is an audiovisual statement on the absurdity of modern existence.

Having met by happenstance in 2003 on a German music production forum called MyOwnMusic.deFelsmann + Tiley soon discovered they shared a lot more than their hometown of Stuttgart. “We were attracted to the depth and melancholy of trance pads and breakdowns that always had a certain darkness to them.” Their 12-inch Ghosts under an alias Kamui was followed by a string of blistering belters by five other aliases released on different labels, all linked by thick and heavy club sound. “And then from 2006 onwards we also started touring and doing DJ gigs all around the world.”

It was the sixth alias Felsmann + Tiley formed in 2017 that stuck. “We were having a conversation over the phone and said: Let’s mix what we like about dance music. Melancholy with reduced neoclassic bits focused on melodies and the film epicness,” they remember. What started off as a pitch deck full of big ideas and even bigger visions would take eight years to grow into an ambitious, all-out artistic vision involving immersive live experiences and a social commentary on the current state of the world.

Looking back on the duo’s body of work, the early signs of major success were there from the start. One of the standout tracks called “October” off their debut album Tempora (2018), a 21st century take on Vivaldi’s cyclical Four Seasons, was featured on the late Andrew Weatherall’s final radio show for NTS Radio and Michel Gaubert’s set for the Swedish fashion house Acne Studios. What’s more, the album also caught the attention of DEF, the management agency of Moby, Robyn, Fever Ray, and Röyksopp.

By contrast, their follow up EP Weltschmerz (Engl. “world weary”), a pitch-perfect post-mortem on the clubland during Covid-lockdown, was nothing short of homecoming. “At the time we were knee deep in philosophy and reading up a lot on existential nihilism,” the duo explains. “Everything was dark, so on the music we made like Homo Deus there are all these off-tune elements combined with organ plugins and bass. That core melancholy goes all the way back to 2003. That’s our DNA at the end of the day.”

Having got the existential dread out of their system, there was more room for the life-affirming cinematic exploration that is front and center on the 2022 EP Retrovision, a record based on cinematic scenes. A bunch of kids outside living life to the fullest (“Vision Genesis”). A drive back home late at night through the city (“Vision Night Drive”).

Where the visually-heightened sound reached wider audiences were sync placements for the reinterpretations of the songs by high-calibre artists: “The Most Beautiful Boy” by The Irrepressibles, the lead track on teen drama “Young Royals 2” and “Solitude” by M83 appeared on the gritty British crime series “Top Boy,” two tracks later released on Mute Records and Deutsche Grammophon that since then have racked up over 200 million streams.

Felsmann + Tiley’s passion for putting their very own stamp on vocal driven tracks is evident on the standout moments of their upcoming concept album Protomensch (Engl. “proto-human”), where the darkest shades of shimmering synthwave, pounding trance and introspective IDM are lit up with synth-pop songs by guest vocalists including London-based alternative outfit Pet Deaths, Australian solo-artists The Kite String Tangle, Woodes and Laius.

This juxtaposition between sentient beings and machines permeates the whole album, right from the Felsmann + Tiley manifesto introducing us to the highly-intelligent yet irrevocably-shortsighted and downright tragic character of Protomensch, to the cover artwork featuring a turtleneck wearing chimpanzee, futuristic music videos and stark social media aesthetics, to seated, next-level live-shows involving collaboration with dozens of visual artists.

More to the point, the release of Protomensch marks the moment their full artistic vision – as they envisaged back in 2017 – will be brought to fruition for the first time. However, at the same time it also marks the moment of realization for Felsmann + Tiley. As the Stoic philosopher Seneca put it, “Every new beginning comes from some other beginning's end.”

“big one”

VISUALIZER: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7CviAgIO-2M

(September 17, 2025) - Following the release of their project a strong desire to survive earlier this year, New York City’s duendita share two new singles “bassline” and “big one” via 10k, today. Alongside “big one,” duendita shares the visualizer filmed at Baketown in Berlin. duendita describes the new offerings as songs about feeling so grateful in the club, the gratitude was overflowing. duendita goes on to share, “My dear friend and collaborator Noah Becker made these beats, and we loved performing them live in harmony, so we decided to record all of our vocals on the track — Emily Akpan and Vanessa Camacho are featured vocalists. We've been performing together for the past 7 years, so finally collaborating in the studio was so special. I went to the club 5 nights in a row, saw the sun rise every single morning, then wrote ‘big one.’ These tracks are made with a lot of love from my family and I to yours!”

“bassline” and “big one” follow duendita’s participation in the Hypetrak’s first issue back in print, where duendita is highlighted as a Shapeshifter and performed “big one” at the magazine release party, along with some other new tracks. You can read the full piece HERE and order the magazine HERE

This spring, duendita joined MIKE on tour for a run of nine shows and also joined MIKE in his NPR Tiny Desk Concert as a back up vocalist. duendita also just came off a run of shows in New York City where they performed with Maxo, Body Meat, and Damballa, respectively. Next Thursday, September 25th, duendita will be performing at MOMA and this November, duendita will be performing at Pitchfork’s London festival. Purchase tickets and see full live dates HERE

Also this year, duendita shared the standalone track “piel,” which arrived this June. The aforementioned project a strong desire to survive was born from duendita’s transformative experience during their first extended trip to Berlin where they first met longtime collaborators Noah Becker and Anton Remy. “We would jam all the time at Baketown, our recording studio and art space in Schoenberg. It was an era where I'd write on their beats or at the piano, and I couldn't stop writing about the pain,” they share, “all these bangers came out about how badly I wanted to live and overcome it all.”

duendita is a band from Queens, New York. They write and produce their own music, imbuing it with a reverence for their ancestry, community, and faith. Anchored by achy, bass-coated tones and mix of jazz, piano, soul and R&B, duendita's music is evocative of the complexities and sentimentality of the human experience. Flowing in various shapes and formations, duendita is a living collaborative project made with family and friends across mediums and cities. Last year, duendita shared the project the mind is a miracle, which received praise from the likes of The FADER, CLASH, Pitchfork and more, and features the track “born with power.”

Check out “bassline” and “big one” above, see live dates below, and stay tuned for more from duendita coming soon.

September 17th, 2025 — One year from the release of acclaimed album Rose Main Reading Room, Peel Dream Magazine returns with a new companion album, Taurus

Spanning eight previously unavailable tracks that were originally recorded for their lush and inviting 2024 full length, Taurus offers a wider glimpse into songwriter Joseph Stevens' process and creative output from those sessions.

The band, whose name nods to the BBC Radio 1 legend John Peel -- arbiter of all things underground, quality, and (it must be said) "cool" -- has since its inception been a genre-hopping experiment, jumping from motorik krautrock to shoegaze and space age pop.

On Taurus, Peel Dream Magazine remain explorative, drifting effortlessly across a gamut of styles that range from the twee indie pop of lead single "Venus In Nadir", the title track's cozy vibraphones, and the bubbly space-synths of "Seek and Destroy."

Although unbound by genre, Peel Dream Magazine still inhabit the sonic milieu of warm woodland tones and droning repetition. In the entrancing standout "Believer," they evoke Rose Main Reading Room's atmosphere through vocalist Olivia Babuka Black's mantric melodies and Phillip Glass-like woodwinds and mallets, bringing Taurus into focus as a welcoming companion piece to its predecessor.

Of the lead single "Venus In Nadir," Peel Dream Magazine's Joe Stevens writes:
"This is a song that I started during the Rose Main Reading Room sessions but kind of gave up on. I revisited it after the album came out, reworked the lyrics and some of the overdubs, and ended up with this really simple twee song about a forlorn recluse who is withering away from an requited love. I imagined him confined to a log cabin, withdrawing from the civilized world, maybe because the guitar voicings felt very Nick Drake-y. "Venus In Nadir" is what came out and it seemed right. I was already kicking around this astrology motif, which is mysterious to me because I'm highly skeptical of it. But that's what's cool about writing songs - you can take these mental images off the shelf, make a mess of them, and you don't have to worry about putting them back when you're done."

ALL-NEW SONGS IN A OVER A DECADE, OUT NOW
ON COOKING VINYL

“Veteran alt-rocker Suzanne Vega is still making great music…
it’s not an exaggeration to call her a straight-up legend.”
“Her music…displays a courage of heart that isn’t machine replicable.
That sense of humanity is stark on Flying With Angels.”
“finds humility and grace amid the ‘permanent emergency’ of the present”September 16, 2025—Suzanne Vega—widely regarded as one of the foremost songwriters of her generation or any other—is adding a run of West Coast dates to her Flying With Angels Tour. Making stops at Los Angeles’ storied LargoSan Francisco’s Bimbo’s 365 Club, the Aladdin in PortlandSeattle’s Neptune and more, Vega will be joined on stage by her longtime collaborator and guitarist Gerry Leonard (David Bowie, Rufus Wainwright, Laurie Anderson, Duncan Sheik) along with cellist Stephanie Winters. See below for a list of dates; tickets for all upcoming shows are available for purchase at suzannevega.com/tour.Vega is touring in support of her critically acclaimed new record  Flying With Angels , out now on Cooking Vinyl. Produced by Gerry Leonard, Flying With Angels is Vega’s first full-length album of all new music in over a decade; see below for a complete track listing. The record is available to stream/purchase  HERE .Flying With Angels continues to receive praise in the media, with  Forbes  hailing it as a “wonderful new record” and  American Songwriter  noting that “[On Flying With Angels] Vega showcases her versatility.”  MOJO  raves in a four-star review that “Vega’s first album in a decade takes an abrupt turn, infused with a vibrancy and political urgency that is very ‘now.’”“Each song on the album takes place in an atmosphere of struggle,” adds Vega. “Struggle to survive, to speak, to dominate, to win, to escape, to help someone else, or just live.”Of Vega’s performances  The New York Times  notes that she “is attentive to the realm of the unseen.”  Finding Connecticut  lauded a recent concert as “nothing short of mesmerizing, weaving tales through her soulful songs in a cozy setting that allowed for a deep connection with the audience.”Vega emerged as a leading figure of the folk-music revival of the early 1980s. Since the release of her self-titled, critically acclaimed 1985 debut album, she has written and recorded numerous songs that have become part of the contemporary music vernacular, including “Luka,” “Marlene on the Wall” and “Tom’s Diner,” an a cappella piece that was remixed by U.K. electronic dance duo DNA and became a major club hit. It remains an oft-sampled and covered standard by artists across the musical spectrum. Her albums, including her self-titled debut, follow-up Solitude Standing and 99.9F have sold millions of copies worldwide.

Kula Shaker "Good Money"

SEPTEMBER 16, 2025 [New York, NY] -- KULA SHAKER always existed in an alternate reality. Emerging in the midst of Britpop’s lad-culture swagger and retrograde cool, they appeared like a luminous anomaly — flooded with Sanskrit and sitar-drenched feedback as they became one of Britain’s most exhilarating live bands. Fronted by the spiritually restless Crispian Mills, the band carved out their own mystical counter-narrative, fusing British psychedelia and eastern mysticism that felt less like a gimmick and more like an invocation. Phenomenal success soon followed. How many other artists can claim to have actually headlined Glastonbury twice in the same weekend? Scored one of the fastest selling double-Platinum debuts of all time, a run of Top 10 singles, and opened for Oasis at their era-defining Knebworth shows?

Now Kula Shaker are set to prove that they're back at the top of their creative game with the news that they will release their eighth album WORMSLAYER on January 30, 2026. Still consisting of their original line-up - best friends Crispian Mills (vocals/guitar), Alonza Bevan (bass), Paul Winterhart (drums) and Jay Darlington (Hammond organ) - Kula Shaker fuel anticipation for the record by sharing its new single "Good Money."

"Good Money" is a kaleidoscopic whirlpool of ‘60s psychedelia, sumptuous soul and retro-freakery funk. The video looks set to make as much of a splash as the song itself.

As Crispian explains, “Our last video was all in camera, real stunts, real props and epic battle scenes which people assumed was all AI. So we’ve taken a different approach with 'Good Money.' The whole video is entirely AI generated by two monkeys, we gave them the song and the lyrics and this is what they came up with. It’s kind of mind blowing.”

Lyrically, however,"Good Money" is a story of a classic Faustian pact and part of a broader psychedelic opera that emerges throughout the wider record.

As Crispian describes the piece, “It’s a story about a boy in a small community, who grows wings and how the local people come to treat him. Some think he's a freak, some think he's a cherub, others cynically see him as an opportunity to make money…. Is it a metaphor for the music business? I’d say it’s a metaphor for life.

The Wormslayer album has already been previewed by "Charge of the Light Brigade" and "Broke as Folk," which both  demonstrate the technicolor energy and celestial vocal harmonies that fans have come to love. But there’s evolution, too, with moments that touch on pastoral folk (the Yeats-referencing "Dust"), full blown gothic crooning on "Little Darling" that conjures images of Roy Orbison jamming with the Doors, and then there’s the expansive mantra-metal of the cinematic showstopper, the title-track "Wormslayer."

Crispian adds, “I hope people enjoy the twists and turns that this new record takes you on. We always loved those psychedelic records that had great songs, great production, great storytelling, and took you on a journey. We always dig into that kind of experience, because we’re that kind of band. Kula Shaker has a life of its own. We’re just passengers, watching it happen in realtime.”

The Wormslayer album also sees Kula Shaker alchemize their restless, reckless live energy on record for the first time, which makes the prospect of the return of their out-of-this-world live experience with their upcoming tour this month for a handful of headlining dates and then joining The Dandy Warhols on West Coast (boosted by a unique, immersive light display at each show) a tantalizing one.

Wormslayter will be released on digital, black gatefold and CD formats, while the band’s official store offers a smokey purple gatefold vinyl and a CD, both of which include a signed insert. It can be preordered HERE. Select indie stores are stocking a crystal clear gatefold vinyl, while Amazon has a signed CD.

WAVERLY DRIVE Unveils Ethereal Dystopian Album DECADENCE out now!

WAVERLY DRIVE
Unveils Ethereal Dystopian Album DECADENCE Out Today!

Stream/Listen HERE

SEPTEMBER 16, 2025 (New York, NY) – DECADENCE presents "reflections on a dystopian world where nothing is as it ever seems," explains producer and multi-instrumentalist Phil Galloni of alt pop project WAVERLY DRIVE about his new independently-released album which is out today (September 16, 2025). "Decadence is a world in which the ruler’s nowhere to be found, a concealed outlaw behind the screen... a world in which the caregiver brings roses to the forlorn lover on a rainy day... a world where Cinderella waits, though her prince is lost in decadence and the hero stands guard at the gates of Eden where the stakes are high while the passerby’s temped by a debutante in a limousine. A decadent world, indeed."

Inspired by an apocalyptic world, Galloni infuses New Wave and Indie Pop, creating an ethereal cinematic masterpiece that captures the essence of both genres and merges them together effortlessly.

Waverly Drive - Decadence Album Artwork

An immersive listening experience, Decadence uncovers a world flipped upside down. Kicking off with the propulsive pulse of "Gates of Eden," it immediately envelops the listener in its driving energy before seamlessly launching into the lush, synth-drenched textures of "Decadence." Adding momentum to the tempo, "Dance Tonite" ticks up with the grooving rhythm, propelling it forward into the sun-soaked, indie warmth of "Lazy Day." The album then shifts into a more introspective space, delving into the calming, ethereal tones of "Luxury," the dreamlike state of New Wave-y "Debutante in a Limousine," and the luscious, "Roses on a Rainy Day," closing out the album, "The First Time" leaves the listener in a quiet space of shimmery introspection.

During the songwriting process of the album, Galloni had notable musicians collaborate while recording the album; longtime friend “Chris Valentine from [LA-based electronic band] Magic Wands played guitar on ‘Gates of Eden’ which brought his magic into the mix and gave it a very distinct sonic touch.” Attributing the sonic shifts also to his diverse taste in music, he adds, “I also think the variation is attributed to the variety of influences I've listened to over the years. I am always trying to create something new to keep it interesting and fun for myself and the listener... Every time I write something new, I try to do it in a different way or approach, which seems to create a large range of songs.”

While also being a well-known producer at his recording studio in Los Angeles Voltiv Sound, Phil was able to record the album on his own time to perfectly craft his vision, “I never am on a time constraint and also have a small setup at home, so am able to work on songs for new ideas when I want to. I also think just the variety of equipment and gear I've built up over the years gives me a lot of possibilities that some artists don't have. I feel very lucky.”

Currently living in Los Angeles, and previously from Chicago, Galloni released his debut EP Living in a Fantasy back in Nov 2022, EP2 Now I Know in July 2023, and EP3 Push My Luck in May 2024. Falling between the sounds of indie rock, new wave, indie pop, and electro pop realms, his early releases have been heavily lauded by press, The Line of Best FitThe 405Clash MagazineDeli MagazinePost PunkMystic SonsPsychedelic BabyGood Music RadarWe Write About Music, and more have noted his work as a solo musician and producer/engineer for others. During his time as sole proprietor at Voltiv Sound, Phil has worked with countless musicians/bands, including Magic Wands, Monica Martin, Cassidy Place, Family Company, DPR Cream, D’Arcy, Joe Sumner, Hey Boy, and many others.

Several studio musicians contributed to LP, including Chris Valentine (Magic Wands), Alex Kyhn (Macy Gray, Family Company), Egan RiceRuss Mitkowski (French Montana, The Weeknd), Cary Lane (Wild Party), Dexy Valentine (Magic Wands), and Kathrene Gawel (True Vacation). Songs written/recorded/mixed by Phil Galloni and mastered by Steve Hall (Tom Petty, Flaming Lips, Madonna).
