My mother found this journal entry when she was clearing out our basement.

Hey God, Thanks

I found this while working the returns desk at my job. A woman came in who seemed to be in a rush. In her haste she didn't notice that this little folded piece of triangular oragami fell out of her bag. Coincidentally, at this time I was in fact reading FOUND Magazine #6 between customers, so when I saw this I snatched it. After she left I unfolded the piece of paper, and well, you can see what I found.

This is from Julie's 6th grade yearbook (1972). Something tells me Chris grew up to be a musician.

It's What's for Dinner

I was checking out pockets of the luggage I'd bought from the Salvation Army, and inside were three pieces of memo paper with a list of supplements to be taken with "Breakfast," "Lunch," and "Dinner." All three were found inside of a plastic baggy. The suitcase had a greyhound ID badge with the man's name, address, and phone number. I looked him up online and appears that he just recently passed.

Another one of the unusual yearbook discards. Nothing says awesome like bunched up tube socks, striped sleeves, and lots of padding.

Mmmm...

I found this stuck to a parking meter in the little downtown section of my town. The space was empty so it didn't seem to be for anyone in particular. I passed it on my way a movie, thought it was awesome, then when it was still there after a movie and ice cream I snagged it. Kudos to the author for reminding me of something all too easy to forget.
