The Garden Path
We leased some land in Villierstown, Ireland, that had about a kilometre of daffodils and jonquils in the driveway, leading to the ruin of what would once have been a moderately grand house. It had a wing, meaner-proportioned than the rest of the house, for the servants to live and work in. But, it was most intact so I improvised some joinery and filled that with whitened old glass that had been weathering outside for 100 years, and there we graded and packed our free-range eggs. Our water...

Blue Velvet Revisited
I found this picture laying on the sidewalk in lovely downtown Shawano. This photo kind of creeps me out. The gnarly old man caressing this young woman. She kind of looks creeped out, too. My friends and I have come up with many stories about this photo, but none of them turn out good.

Dear Mom and Mary
My husband found this is the parking lot of the hotel where he works. I can't imagine what Nicholas would be sitting outside in the parking lot putting together for his mom and Mary, who apparently, were on their honeymoon, but whatever it is, I'm sure it reflects how extremely ___ he is for them. :)

A Note for Yvette

Flood
Found this in a storage shed that I bought at auction. The back just says FLOOD, which is pretty obvious.

I Remember My First Beer
Found this taped to a tree on my walk home from classes. Mifflin St. Block Party was this weekend ... perhaps the "degenerate" was influenced to throw a beer bottle at a car after participating in Mifflin. Sucks for the owner of the car, but they were quite creative in their insults, so I have to give him that.

12 Jobs
I found this on the coffee table in my living room. I have no idea how it got there, and I still don't know who wrote it. At first I thought it was a little amusing, then a bit sad.

Not Baby-Baby, My Man
Another mysterious paper from one of the university recycling bins during move-out week. For a lot of students, college offers more than just academic growth.
