georgina's inner dialogue is something like this- "they like me, they need me, I'm evil but I'm good, I do bad things but he loves me, I sold my soul but I love him, I'm worthy, I'm not worthy,"... uggg....she is driving me batty!

Ming wrote: "sadly this is way I haven't picked it up yet"It is so frustrating since there is just so much meaningless fill in this book just to make the ending fit into a separate book. The ending probably could easily fit in the previous book in the series. I think the story actually starts at around the 65% line. I need to stop whining about it and finish this one up!
Ming wrote: "series went two books to far already ...so the fill is no real suprise"I was just thinking that!

I'm really surprised by the high ratings on the book since I'm really disliking the actual book (again, I absolutely love the story idea/series but I'm completely disliking this book).
I am not questioning the ratings/reviews because I know I rate books highly all the time that others dislike, I'm just wondering if I'm missing something so far? I'm not getting the love. I guess maybe it's coming in the last 10%?
I think the ratings are so high because the ending is exactly as (almost) everybody wanted it, in fact so sugary satisfying that people are ready to overlook its flaws.
Tatiana beat me to the answer the HEA mob speakswell you didn't really think G would go human, die in a fiery crash at Seatac while S. watches. then s. kills himself and the devil takes them all .. well did ya?

hmmmm... I guess I can't rate a book just on just the ending especially if I'm paying for an entire book. I need an entire book to make me happy. However, I'm not knocking people who do that. I know I over look alot on debut books/indie books that others are super critical of. I think all readers have their own tolerance levels of what they will accept/not accept and it reflects in their ratings.
Yes, I agree, Michelle. A level of attachment to the series comes into play too. I would say, this book deserves not more than 2 stars based on the quality of story telling, but I caved and gave it 3 anyway because Ive liked so many previous installments:)
It wasn't even the ending for me, I genuinely loved the book... but then, I didn't see any of it coming :)

I remember not really liking it so I have no clue why I gave it 5 stars. I must have been doing just that.. rating it on the series. Oh well, I guess I've changed the way I rate series books since I read the last book.
Emily wrote: "It wasn't even the ending for me, I genuinely loved the book... but then, I didn't see any of it coming :)"That's good. I'm glad people are actually liking the book and not just the ending. It makes me feel better about all the 5 star ratings out there. I don't mind people loving books that I don't like, that happens to me ALL the time.
