... I can tell there's a story there and I'm SUPER curious but I'm a bit afraid to know... as it is, I agree, he needs to accept the help first which would take a MIRACLE for him to do.

I thought the character was pretty uninteresting in the first book but I was taken with the plot and the atmosphere. However, I completely fell for the "Rhysand is a bad dude" until at least a third of the second book x) It took me longer than I'd like to admit to get that he didn't have bad ulterior motives

Haha I've talked a little about it in my review of ACOMAF.
Vassa actually reminds me of Swan Lake. I mean, it IS Swan Lake!!! Bird by day human by night??! Cursed by an evil sorcerer??? And the lake???
