Notes:
(1) Harry: "Ginny, don’t call Ron a prat, you’re not the Captain of this team."
Ginny: "Well, you seemed too busy to call him a prat."
- Can't fault the logic.
(2) Ginny teases Ron for "never snogg[ing] anyone in his life." She also tells Ron "Hermione snogged Viktor Krum." Enraged and shamed, Ron snogs stalkerish Lavender Brown. Ergo, Ginny's to blame for that mess.

(1) '"Snape!" ejaculated Slughorn, who looked the most shaken, pale
and sweating. "Snape! I taught him! I thought I knew him!"'
- I sincerely hope that "ejaculated" means something different in British English.
(2) Fleur snatches ointment from Molly and takes over dabbing Bill. Ah, the symbolic passing of the ointment.
(3) Six down, one to go. I'll see you next book!

Notes:
(1) Kicking another wizard's wand must be akin to spitting in their face. At least Snape didn't snap Harry's in half.
(2) Gee, I haven't heard of the Hand of Glory since Book Two. That's a deep call back.
(3) Fleur: "You thought I would not weesh to marry him? ... What do I care how he looks? I am good-looking enough for both of us, I theenk!
- Haha! Nice one, Fleur.

(1) On one hand, Harry should be less repetitive with spells. Petrificus Totalus over and over gets boring. On the other hand, if it works, why change?
(2) '"DON’T —" screamed Snape, and his face was suddenly demented, inhuman ... "CALL ME COWARD!"'
- A regular Marty McFly right there: "Nobody. Calls me. Chicken!"
(3) "I, the Half-Blood Prince!"
- Like "I, Claudius"?

Notes:
(1) Amycus calls Dumbledore "Dumby." I imagine a green stick of plasticine with a horse named Pokey.
(2) Fenrir: “I wouldn’t want to miss a trip to Hogwarts ... Not when there are throats to be ripped out... Delicious, delicious.”
- Can werewolves be cannibals? Or does it only count in human form?
(3) "Severus... please."
- Ah... reminds me of many a chatroom debate.

(1) Malfoy: "He’s a double agent, you stupid old man, he isn’t working for you."
Dumbledore: "We must agree to differ on that, Draco. It so happens that I trust Professor Snape."
- I use "agree to disagree" a lot too.
(2) Malfoy: "I got the idea... from the Mudblood Granger."
Dumbledore: "Please do not use that offensive word in front of me."
- Total boss to the end.

(1) Draco disarms Dumbledore... the significance of which is yet to be known. I love how Rowling seeds plot points in deep cuts.
(2) Dumbledore: "Killing is not nearly as easy as the innocent believe... So tell me, while we wait for your friends... how did you smuggle them in here?"
- The old "I'm going to die anyway, so tell me your plan" trick! Bond would be proud.

Notes:
(1) Harry needs blood to open the archway. Luckily, he was already cut whilst fighting Inferi. Even zombies have a silver lining.
(2) '"It’s going to be all right, sir," Harry said over and over again ... "Don’t worry..."
"I am not worried, Harry," said Dumbledore, his voice a little stronger despite the freezing water. "I am with you."'
- Hits me right in the feels.

Notes:
(1) How is Harry shocked that blood magic is a thing? Voldemort was revived by his blood!
(2) Dumbldore: "You are underage and unqualified. Voldemort would never have expected a sixteen-year-old to reach this place: I think it unlikely that your powers will register compared to mine."
- So... Harry should be glad the alarm can't detect his negligible amount of magic.

Notes:
(1) Perhaps Harry's grown too used to magic. He's fine charging headlong into danger, but a short swim in cold water totally freaks him out. Who is he? Film-Ron?
(2) "Harry had long since learned that bangs and smoke were more often the marks of ineptitude than expertise."
- I wonder if he's referring to Seamus, who's gimmick is he often accidentally blows things up?

(1) Ginny: "All Romilda Vane does is ask me if it’s true you’ve got a hippogriff tattooed across your chest ... I told her it’s a Hungarian Horntail ... Much more macho."
- Harry's already kinda got a lightning bolt tattoo, and on his face too! I'd guess that's be even more macho.
(2) "Rage and resentment fought shock and excitement."
- Fight it! Angst was so Book 5.

Definitely. I think she gets influenced a lot from Fred and George and stands up to them (when she was going out with Dean she tells them to mind their business). It's a far cry from the shy girl in the first two harry potter books!

It's a far cry from the shy girl in the first two harry potter books!"Yeah, I think it wasn't until the third book that she started developing a personality. I believe it was then that people started comparing her to Fred and George, so at least Rowling's been consistent about that.
Ginny’s face over there 😂 what a little troublemaker. The difference between her and the twins seems to be that she’s much more subtle about her tricksy ways
Annie wrote: "Ginny’s face over there 😂 what a little troublemaker. The difference between her and the twins seems to be that she’s much more subtle about her tricksy ways"Yeah, the twins are much more on the nose about their mischief. Ginny's the sort to either hex you sneakily or out of anger. She's got her mother's temper, whereas Fred and George never seem stressed or anything less than upbeat.
Alexandra Elend Wolf wrote: "So... basically just Ginny subtly manipulating everyones lives? XD"It's like what they said in Order of the Phoenix, no one suspects her because she's small and sneaky. Meanwhile, she's pulling all the strings and causing all sorts of chaos :)
MICHAEL FERCHTATER ONLINE wrote: "Ginny was so mDe when Dean did something to her and then they broke up anyways Ginny is by age younger one year"I don't actually recall the exact reason they broke up. I suppose I'll refresh my memory about it pretty soon :)
MICHAEL FERCHTATER ONLINE wrote: "and she had Harry two times Michael Core one time than Dean. she had three boy friends but one of them two Times"Yes, I suppose you can consider Harry twice a boyfriend since they broke off for a time during Deathy Hallows.

Voldermot really should have used her better when he had his chance.
MICHAEL FERCHTATER ONLINE wrote: "shut up and mu NAnny speaks yor language"Well, seeing as it's my status update, I'd expect people would want me to reply to comments. So, we'll have to agree to disagree about that.
Additionally, glad to know your nanny's from the Philippines, but I can't see that I'm using any language other than English here :)
Alexandra Elend Wolf wrote: "Voldermot really should have used her better when he had his chance."Absolutely. Though to be fair to the Dark Lord, the version of Voldemort that controlled Ginny was merely an artifact of his teenage self. Tom Riddle wouldn't have had any idea of his future ties to Harry or be aware of the present state of things. I'm sure he got more ambitious as he matured.
Sakshi wrote: "that's kinda messed up considering how Hermione helped Ginny get noticed by Harry😬"That's interesting. I must have missed the bit where Hermione did that. It always seemed to me that Harry just spontaneously became aware of Ginny once she started dating Dean.

Hermione told Ginny to be aloof and start dating and all, she knew Harry would get jealous or notice and she was right

Oh my God, I just imagined this and I'm DYING now! Can you imagine him excusing himself from something just to go scream into the void *lmao*

Yes, it's something totally ridiculous but also entirely within his character. Even Dark Lords need to blow off some steam somehow 😁👍
