I’m not ready for this book to be over! I completely forgot the ending so I look forward towards Boo Radley making that special appearance! :)

That courtroom scene is still intense as when I read it in 8th grade!!

The Jury Selection Begins! Also that scene of Scout at the jail preventing the men from killing Tom Robinson is epic! Goodnight :)

This book is meant for all ages but I definitely feel the impact geared toward adults. It’s a reflection on our behavior towards others who are different. I am loving this book! :)

I can’t believe I skipped the beginning when I was younger! It’s SOOOOOOOO GOOD! I really want to get into Tom Robinson case already!

I never felt like my neighborhood was a community and it warms me to witness that during the tragic fire everyone helped Miss Maudie.

Is it me or are there major queer undertones with Dill and his feelings towards Jem? As I’m writing this I research that Capote is the inspiration for Dill. So I’m not surprised! :)

I have assignments that are due tomorrow and instead I can’t stop myself from reading this novel! :P

At this point I should forget what I remembered about this novel and make this a brand new experience. So much background information that went over my head. I’m really enjoying this book! :)

I haven’t read this novel since 8th grade and I only read chunks of it. It honestly feels like reading it for the first time. Got this novel and the Go Set A Watchman for $10 at B&N!!

Been wanting to read a classic and a epic one at that! Plus James Dean does the movie version so it helps to have inspiration. Haven’t read much of Steinbeck. I’m still angry about the Pearl when I read that Freshman year!

During these troubling times I need to be reminded what it means to have a leader who can unite this country and help changed the course of history for progress. A President who has empathy and rises when we need them the most for guidance.

I’m shocked they haven’t made this into a film yet! I’m not even close to the gruesome part of this awful tale! It’s refreshing to learn more about Thurgood especially the sh#t show that is currently happening in Washington

This is not the edition I’m reading but it’s not fair for Goodreads to say I’ve read a 600 page book full of essays and criticism when I’m simply reading the novel for class. So far I’m getting major gay tones for Harry.

Finished Act 1. I’m taking Shakespeare Comedies course. I’m a bit excited to read more Shakespeare. So far this reminds me of the adult version of Parent’s Trap.

I don’t know if it’s because of the Midterm Elections, the craziness that is happening around the world or what but Hunter Thompson has entered my life and I have been wanting to read this book for a while now. Hopefully I can read this now that school starts tomorrow!

This graphic novel is really good! I don’t like that the actual physical book is the length of my entire arm which makes holding the book difficult at times. Overall the way the story is drawn I’m surprised they haven’t made a film out of this yet!

I’m not shocked that nobody thought this nacho cheese puff had a chance at winning the election. Makes you see these people as pitiful characters.

This doesn’t make sense. If Aslan told the kids they will always be the king and queen of Narnia that means Prince Caspian is not King of Narnia. Now that they are back they are the rightful rulers.

I don’t like how Lewis tries to insert that women do not have a place in the battlefield. He hasn’t done it again like the first novel but he removed the detail now that Lucy had a dagger from St. Nick. Now she’s stuck with medicine bottles. Like as if that’s going to save her in a fight.

I’m still not 100% committed to this book. The chapter on Ailes and Bannon alone gave me goosebumps. I find it creepy how these men act like they rule the world. Yikes

I would have prefer the kids to keep using the wardrobe instead of magically being poof into an Island. I’m curious about how time works since it’s been over a year for these kids!

I like the sarcasm of the narrator which is a rat! Hopefully it continues to grab my attention! I’ve heard nothing but positive things especially tackling issues like loneliness, and low self-esteem

That’s heartbreaking that Aslan dies. I’ve seen the films so I know what’s going to happen but still thinking of this lion reminds me of my dog.

Aslan finally appears! Woohoo! I don’t like how Saint Nick telling Susan and Lucy that they should avoid fighting in battle because a woman’s place in the battlefield is a no no. Cough cough sexist cough cough.

Someone needs to whoop Edmund’s ass. He’s such an annoying prick. He’s not a character worth redeeming. I want to see Aslan! :)

For the most part the visual aspect of this novel is accurately depicted in the Disney adaptation I grew up as a kid. I am really enjoying The Chronicles of Narnia. I’m planning to marathon this series in publication order!

A whole chapter where nothing. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING happens. I don’t care for the cruising aspect of this novel.

I really dislike the whole slave rape fantasy and I’m curious how this book was deeply praised. I hope Arthur is written off the story soon or I’m DNF this book.

I am definitely blushing in this novel and I don’t know what’s going to happen when I get closer to the Rated R section of this novel. So far so good. Forgot that this was a British novel. Too many adjectives to my liking.
