Holy crap, was slightly wrong about syndicate queen. Wrong person, correct group. Obsidian is fun. Given the title I can only imagine/fear the rest of the book. Brutal is the only word I can think of. Still looking for some chapters from the Red pov but perhaps the Gray is the best.

What is going to happen in this book. I'm only a quarter of the way through and I have no idea what's happening. Who's aligned with whom? Is a certain character dead? What happened to another character abducted at the end of Iron Gold. It is completely brutal at points, but a fantastic journey.

About to enter the Colosso. Going with UK edition so total pages is around 570 so about 40% done. Good read so far, I cannot put it down when I sit down to read, to the point I end up reading way past when I should be going to bed. Not a wasted word. I don't find the writing flowery, but it may be the best writing I've read in a while.

I can feel a cliffhanger and brutal ending. 2 hunches on who the queen of the syndicate is. Hopefully Sevro makes it.

Just getting into this. The trouble I have is always that I cannot wait for the action or conflict, but I can definitely sense it coming from any number of directions. Is Crispin just going to be one of these characters that people love to hate? He seems like a full a-hole already.

good follow-up to book 1. Not sure how it will end at this point, but I have a few thoughts especially since there's a book 3. Interesting dive into gladiatorial games.

Seems like we're ramping up to the ending, there are a couple of unnamed folks that all of a sudden popped up and I'm dying to know who/what they are. Bugg intrigues me. What was the thing he pulled out of the quarry with a Jaghut. Have we seen Iron Bars before? So many questions.
