C'mon, just started to get back into the story and then we need a big chunk of text where 2 characters get drunk and get it on. It's times like this I miss Robert Jordan's, for example, style when writing intimate moments. I'm predicting at least 2 main character deaths at the end, or main-adjacent characters.

I'm not sure the point of this book. I don't care about the backstory of either main POV in the last 2 books. Trying to get me to emphasize with these characters is wasted on me. Maybe things will change further into the book. My sense is that the story could have been furthered much more by the 3rd book than where we're at now.

Good so far, listening to audio. It doesn't feel like a 5 star but as I listen I'm completely engrossed in the story and getting mad at certain characters. I have an idea of the killer and what will happen to the royal family, we'll see if I'm right
