I couldn’t figure out how to deal with it, so I just decided not to. I buried my head in the sand and distanced myself from anything resembling emotional attachment. Like that, it was bearable. Like that, I could still breathe.

I scowl. “I’m not cute.”

His daughter is narcisistic manipulative with no empathy or remorse and the fact that Frank keeps making excuses for her is exausting.

Everyone in this wedding is THE WORST and can Frank just leave and go back home?

I feel like it has the same problem as Hidden Pictures: I imagine the protagonist is gonna end up being right because it’s a book, but in real life I would say he/she is building theories out of nothing and is out of line. There are 0 evidence and rational explenations.

Tairn leaves our bond wide open, giving me unfettered access to him in a way I’ve never had. He’s always been with me, but now I’m with him, too. I hear him bickering with Sgaeyl over what he calls her excessive hovering, and I’m privy to the lecture he gives Xaden about making sure I eat

And that is why Tairn is the best

Some parts I’m really liking

It’s still filler but this is the first part I adored. Always love some messed up family reunions.
Xaden you are entitled to your anger, your mother is the worst kind of selfish, the one who thinks herself an innocent victim while not caring about anything other then herself and her buddies are psychos; and Sgaeyl being protective of Xaden in her own way is great. Make up you two! Also Aaric mvp and yes Violet!

1. Tairn is the best here and that’s a fact

2. I’m not disliking it (feeling zen) but it’s a filler with little actual plot progression and some scenes really are info dumping without proper explanation or context

3. Some moments are entertaining

Am I supposed to know what’s the object Mira found for Violet and I forgot or it’s not explained yet?
