Learning sooo much and all through the amazing writing of Jason Reynolds.

Making progress but I truly hate this printing of the book. Each page takes forever

I'm liking the book but the version I ordered from Amazon is super weird and the pages are giant so I have no idea what page I am actually on! It looks like a small text book.

I do think seeing the movie first is helping me appreciate this book.

Oh yeah this is exactly what I needed after my other book I just finished. Some very beautifully written retellings of famous Greek legends.

Not loving this so far. But I'm going to finish it because I've gotten this far, might as well.

Took a long time to get into this one but it’s finally got me. I love the open discussion about learning disabilities and special education services, the mystery aspect. I just really wish the timeline wasn’t so confusing!!!

I normally don’t like biographies or memoirs. I got hooked on this very easily. Once I reached chapter 5 I was finding excuses to read and stealing moments to finish a chapter.

This book is fascinating and I’m convinced everyone I know needs to read it

I don’t normally enjoy books that aren’t simple fiction (such as sci fi or fantasy etc) but it seems that my background in Greek mythology (thanks Waldorf school) has made this my sort of thing. How did Maara know that? She’s a magician. Either way I’m really enjoying this book so far and am having an easy time getting into the story.

My mantra this year when it comes to reading is to stop reading if it doesn’t give me joy. So far I’m really enjoying this one. Like am finding excuses to actually read, which isn’t something I’ve done in awhile.
