This book has been a page turner. I’m finding that Nisha is really starting to find her voice, at least through writing the letters to her mom. The journey that her & the family have endured thus far is heart wrenching, and you’re always rooting for them to make it to the next village.

Reading this for historical fiction book clubs. I’m really enjoying the diary style of this book. Nisha is so young just trying to understand what’s going on during the partition of India. I love the contrast so far between her and her brother Amil.

Y’all, Part 1 has me crying. I’m probably going to finish it tonight. I’d be interested to listen to the audiobook version to actually hear him tell the story. Definitely putting this in the classroom library.

I wanted to read the adult version but grabbed the YA one so I could add it to my classroom library. The 3 chapters I’ve read so far have made me a giggle a ton. Already thinking about using a chapter for class.

I found this on my shelf since I hadn't finished reading it. I'm so close to being done and will probably finish tonight as a break. But the love triangles and the fantasy world of Fairfold has me addicted once again. I don't know why I ever stop reading YA fantasy books.

Loving the cast of characters in the book! I’m excited to see where this story heads off as they’ve finally identified all the witches in town.

I'm only on chapter 6, but I am soo into this book. The main character Abby had no idea she was a witch and it's thrilling to watch her figure it out on her own.

GUYS! I was able to get a copy of this book prior to release and I was soo excited! We just finished the first season of the podcast and the kids & I loved it! I'm really into this book. It has a mixture of podcasts, group texts, and school flyers throughout the novel. Can't wait to see where this goes!

So there was some context to the big earthquakes and what happened prior to this story, but not enough to satisfy what I wanted in background knowledge.

I'm really enjoying TK as a character and I love the style of this graphic novel. I really hope there's more character development throughout, but I'm not holding my breath as I near the end.

Just started this graphic novel today! So far, I like it. I wish there was a little more context on what "the end of the world" is that they lived through. The summary says it's an earthquake. I'm hoping that once I get further in, there will be!

Someone recommended this book to me and it's an interesting take on growing up in a cult. I'm excited to see where the rest of this story takes off as it seems to be a bit slow right now.

I originally read "The Coldest Girl in Coldtown" by Holly Black and really enjoyed it for a YA book. This novel is a bit darker and follows the usual YA standards. However, I'm really enjoying it as a quick read.

I just started this book based on a recommendation of a student. So far, it seems as though the story will revolve around one family, specifically, the Redding's. However, I am unsure to what extent the book will focus on the characters. Another concern I have is that this book is about an animal (judging a book by it's cover here) and I am not sure I'll actually enjoy it if it is.

I started this book awhile ago and then put it down. It was a slow start for me, but now I can't put it down. I'm excited to see where this book is going to go from here.

I was intrigued with the book because I couldn't figure out where the overall storyline was going. The beginning was pretty slow and I had to read the first chapter 3 times before I got into the groove. Now that I'm through the first 6 chapters, I can't wait to see what Carey does within the zombie genre.
