Enjoying the story. It reminds me a lot of Reynolds Rev Space with nanotech and gates and lost civilizations and a suggestion of Fermi's paradox.

I wonder if they have courses for "How to remove spinal column remains from a cortical stack"
or "Bargain hunting at the Soul Market - get more bang per kilo of cortical stacks"

Very intriguing world so far

The second half is racing. And Lane needs to learn how to use the Bruce Lee App in something other than full attack mode.

I still don't like Luke Daniels as audio narrator that much but the story is good so far.

It's also cool that someone else besides me has the bruce lee app in their head.

The Hammer cracks me up. Or at least the Audio narrator's version of her.

Very oriental feel to the book. Reminds me of the Adem in Wise Man's fear with all the communication with body poses and gestures.

It's ironic that I'm listening on Audible to a book where the protagonist plus three main characters can't talk.
Did I mention elsewhere that there wasn't any swearing in this book?

Jot Davies narrator's voice is nothing special - but his character voices are insanely good.

Wha...?! How can she be...and how long has he been...and what day is it?! I'm about as disoriented as the protagonist right now - and loving it.

This book is different. Not sure what to compare it to. Still very much the borderland feel with post apocalyptic setting plus high tech plus "higher"(for want of a better word) beings - who reanimate bodies and can communicate by exchanging fluids via blowfly. Yeah - I'm not going to explain it. You have to read it. I like it so far.
