It for sure still is my favourite cosmere system.

Man this last 30 percent was intense, like that was bigger and more epic than most books endings. 😂

Also this is almost the same Shard plot archetype as the one in mistborn, but in Sanderson we trust.

I'm technically Listening to this by GraphicAudio, and what the hell are they doing with it?
It for some reason feels different from the rest, maybe the cast has changed I have to check, but it's also doing some weird things like sound effects and music at the end of each chapter, that didn't used to be there and now just feels unnecessary and sometimes bizarre

Kaladin and syl's dynamic is one of the cutest things out there

Dalinar is fascinating as always

Mistborn is the story of what IR should have been, change my mind.

I'm reading this again and I'm trying to analyse it more, partly because I need to figure out what exactly about it bugged me so much last time I tried it.
But the more I read, the more I start to fear that the problem is not with the translation as I first thought, but the base writing itself.
Though it most probably is a combination of both, neither was good enough to compromise for the other that's for certain ATM

This one more than any other Sanderson book reminds me of other Sanderson works.
More specifically the 3rd Stormlight, oathbringer, which might be my personal favourite so no complaints.

I think the only problem I had with the first book was the characters.
And holly hell man, this is just beautiful character work
And world building around characters

This might be some of the best character works I've ever seen.
I mean they are almost all the exact same character but goddamn can you see the difference and similarities magnificently
The series keeps getting better and better.
