Antho2 is reading Honest Advent: Awakening to the Wonder of God-with-Us Then, Here, and Now
This book is unconventional and a little uncouth but I still gleaned a lot from it. Scott delves into some aspects of the incarnation that I hadn’t previously given much thought.

Antho2 is finished with The Last Supper on the Moon: NASA's 1969 Lunar Voyage, Jesus Christ’s Bloody Death, and the Fantastic Quest to Conquer Inner Space
Another excellent read from Levi Lusko. This book is beefy for a reason; there’s so much meat in it. I read the hulk of it during Holy Week; it brought even more understanding. I will never look at the moon in the same way again. So good!

Antho2 is reading Call the Midwife: A True Story of the East End in the 1950s
I’m leading a book Club discussion on this book later this month. Wow! What a fascinating read! I feel fortunate to have had children in a time where child rearing is fractionally as dangerous as it was for the first 6000 years of humanity. The stories in this biography are fascinating and the conditions are often unimaginable.

I began this book backwards; because it requires six chapters of scripture each day in order to appreciate the devotion. I started after advent, testing the waters to see if I could keep up with the reading. Three weeks in and I haven't fallen behind yet.

Each day I am challenged. I'm learning new terms. And realizing new sins. Old sins, rather, newly discovered. This book is going to be pivotal in my growth.

Antho2 is 30% done with Welcome Home: A Cozy Minimalist Guide to Decorating and Hosting All Year Round
I loved Myquillyn's first book. Her story drew me in. Her second book was too minimalist for me. I'm just not there. But I am enjoying her thoughts on the seasons and the commitment to the rubbermaid tub. This is a happy read for sure. I also love the hymn lyrics throughout.

Antho2 is finished with The Glass Castle
Wow. This book was recommended to me by my sister as an example of our childhood. Parts rang true; especially the fantasies of the parents and the pursuit of unstructured education. Parts astounded me; particularly the neglect and abuse. It is incredible to me how these children rose out of such an upbringing to responsible, delightful adults. Incredibly interesting read and strangely relatable.
