Really enjoying this but think I worked out who the killer is at around 10%. REALLY hope I’m wrong and Leigh Russell pulls some twists out of the bag otherwise this will be a disappointing read.

Has anyone else read The Fear by CL Taylor? Meant to be set in 2007 but there’s been mentions of PS4s, a Coldplay song that wasn’t released at that time, vaping and Facebook is written as if it’s now rather than back in 2007 when things like Likes didn’t exist. Such poor editing.

The last four books (all by different authors) I have read have contained some permutation of the sentence ‘she let out the breath she didn’t know she had been holding’. Why is this cringe-worthy sentence used so much?! Is it in some kind of Writer’s Guide somewhere? 😂🤣😂🤣
