The first 20 or so pages of this book is horribly painful to read and something of a disjointed mess, but the actual book proper is fantastic.

I hope that the next 600 pages or so reads as smoothly as chapter 1

It begins.....

This is probably the least serious book I've read this year.

"Everyone makes spelling and grammatical errors. Hell, I promise you there are going to be some in this book"

Yup. He kinda redeems himself for the errors in this book with that line ;)

This is, essentially, a rare book that melds real political experience and opinions with comedy.

The only other book I've read that did that was "giant of the Senate".

I've already found two wrong dates and 2 spelling errors.

The book is funny and solid, but they really shouldn't have skimped on the editing......

About half way through this thing. I'm enjoying it, but it's definitely a very long book....

There is no doubt that Paul Volkers decision to sharply raise Intrest brstes had it's costs. It is probably true that it struck a blow to liberial Economic policy.

But it also halted and reversed inflation. I can't say I'm pleased that the authors gloss over that issue.

It helps their narrative, but hurts their credibility.

I'd also like to say that I loved how much attention Luigi Zingales got in this book. The authors basically give him and his book a 3-4 page review. Despite our disagreements (all of which where brought up by the authors of this book), I found his book to be one of the best I've read so far.

I really wish that more elected conservatives could be a reasonable and principaled as Zingales :)

This book is interesting: it's a passionate defense of the mixed Economy and a call to arms for the revitalization of Social Democracy in America.

In general, that's not that unique..... Many books take the same stance, but usually wait until the last chapter to come out. This one 100% wears it on its sleeve.

I've already heard all of it's arguments before, but never seen them all in one book. It's awesome.
