The 4 star rating continues to leave me stunned and confused.

If this were fanfiction, I wouldn't care about the typos and errors as much, because fanfiction is self-indulgent and a free expression of creativity imo

But once you start asking money for your writing, I feel there's like a bare minimum to uphold.

And that minimum is to, like, read it over a second time to pick out the most obvious errors

The romance has gotten worse, somehow. I need several restraining orders for Deverell for the fringe possibility he might be an actual person.

All things considered the scene where someone takes their own life was decently written. It probably would've been more impactfull if there weren't typo's littered about.

Corvina's hearing of voices continues to be a macguffin.

The mc and her love interest's eye color get mentionned so many times, I don't want to ever hear the word purple or silver again

I started reading when it was released and kind of just landed somewhere abouts the meadow scene before my real adult life needed the energy I put into reading this book more. I still plan to pick it up and finish it...someday.

I started reading this in the Summer of the year of our lord 2020, and I landed right at the meadow scene when life began to ask energy of me. Now I can either read this book or make a living and pay my rent. My mind can't handle both. Though, I do plan to pick it up again because, by god, I refuse to let this book win

I'm on page 60... shouldn't the plot be somewhere in sight by now. Instead I just have to suffer through this idiot being amazed by fucking EVERYTHING. Omg, celery is so weird, you guys, don't you know?

Oh god, she's going to describe her doing chores, isn't she. Yep, she is. There are just so many inane details in this book, my god.

I honestly do not get why they are freaking out about the town being so bad that they'll have to start from scratch. The town seems pretty okay to me. Two people dying (plus they're not even sure if that's the doing of the 'agents of the dark' or wathever). If they freak out over so little, maybe it's a good thing they didn't get sent to Syria or something. They'd probably break down sobbing.

How again can she feel exhausted when she's been created with limitless energy? This just doens't make any sense to me.

Ugh, I find the term 'peeling' for taking of clothes such a strange choice of word. It reminds me of food, and now I'm hungry.

"Would we have talked while I would tried my hand at fishing?" I misread the 'h' in fishing. Yeeaahh. That would've been awesome.

I'm already bored. I'm not even kidding. And is it just me who finds it weird when people's voices are compared to instruments? Just me? 'Kay, I'll shut up now.

Oh god, I remember reading this years ago. I do not, however, remember if it was good or bad, so that shows something about the impression this book left on me
