Gonna love this detective series...

A VERY good mystery novel with lots of great local British Columbia flavour! I particularly like the main character of the P.I. - a former Alberta oil worker who just smiles away life's low blows.

Wonderful book, and So important today!

Wonderful book. Bought it on St Joseph’s Eve, and am finding that it was a worthwhile purchase!

The second half of life is a necessary stage, but it hurts so much to begin because it implies the utter death of the old self and thus, the first half (my second half began at age 49). Rohr says starting the second half is like being a lightbulb screwed into a socket. We have to stay screwed in - no matter how much it hurts!

If I could sum up White’s extraordinary style in a few words: it’s a mix of wit, whimsy and magic on a solid foundation of great good sense! A sheer delight.

A wonderful work of Jewish religious legend!

This book really starts to gain solidity and intensify at about 1/3 of the way through it!

Myths, ancient healing methods and angelic legends combine to produce a whopping good morality tale! This book was a part of the Bible until the late Renaissance, and tells the tale of a supernatural cure to the diabolical curse that has fallen upon a simple and charitable man.
