Are we CRAZY?
NO. The WORLD is... But WE can untie our KNOTS.

In Canada, this remarkable book - by the author of the incredible Poetics of Space (see my review) - is in the public domain, and hence readily available in PDF format. Check out Google to see if that’s the case in your country - all you need is basic French!
Like Spinoza, Bachelard believed all true knowledge to be intuitive. Once we progress intellectually, we build our OWN scientific understanding on intuition.

Did you know Rudyard Kipling wrote crackling good SF yarns (this one has devilishly small print - but who's about to complain for a mere two bucks)? I kid you not. A real deal I wasn't gonna forget!

Having only recently gained understanding of the deeply religious origins of Derrida’s incredible way of thinking, I now look at this incredibly wistful group of final conversations as preeminently suggestive of a transcendently indecipherable reality at a far remove from pop culture…

When the author - who is a GR member - noticed I had tagged his book TBR, he graciously offered me a copy. I’m glad he did.
This book takes me back to a doleful time in my life, 50 years ago, when I was down and out for no just cause. Such is life, and like Anthony, by the grace of God, I fought to right those wrongs by doing good. It works.
Anthony, too, has succeeded and righted his steps, a brave and a good man!

Jedidiah Jenkins is so much like I was in my thirties. Well - I was never gay, but I was separated from my more with-it peers at an early age - in my case, by klutziness, Asperger's and the intimidation that comes from being DIFFERENT. So it's neat to see him trying to get to the roots of his insecurity and trying to boost his self-confidence, as I did. All in all, it's endlessly absorbing.

An ancient Christian text dating from the sixth century, describing the far-flung war between the failing Roman Empire and the rising Persian Empire, where Joshua lived as a hermit in the deserts of modern-day Syria. When an Aspie like me goes public on social media he or she often faces an intermittent barrage of verbal snipes and unkind twists of the knife. Such is the real world! But Aspies never fully adjust to such rapid-fire denigration. It's NOT a kind world. So we Aspies are constantly sweeping fragments of ourselves off the floor and pasting them back together. This budget-priced book tells us how to do that well!
