This was the Sylvia Plath chapter and all the expectations and/or trivializing of women in their lives (using Plath as the figure for this essay)

This was the best essay thus far.

Also weird: the SON can be selfish &is encouraged & expected to do so about his career but if the girlfriend selfish about hers she's a self-centered bitch shark.

I both want to say "Oh shut up Mick" for all his rancor and want to say, F Yeah, I think he should still be mad as hell about what Elizabeth did to him in his book.

This book (audio, listening while working) is stupid addictive.

This book is getting crazy, I feel like a second book would be needed to work out the numerous issues from the Victoria/Parker vs Isabel deal...

How does everyone rate DNFs?

A 34 year old man (from TX of all places!) doesn't know what a churro is? That's not...that's not possible.

It feels like this is a different, less alpha-holeish hero than the Sin series so far. (If I recall, I felt they were all a little too controlling)

I keep reading these chapters and ending up feeling like, "so what?" Her observations & commentary are so good I want more more more...then it ends.

Oh, wow. Degrading, micro-managing jerk boss doesn't understand why exec assistant would want to leave?? SHOCK. Also, EA doesn't understand that she's present when he is...odd? Despite this snark, I'm actually enjoying the book more now.

So much for keeping my TBR list < 300! More coming I think...

Good fluff, this book is long.

This book is honestly a tough read. It is stripped bare, a woman describing her sense of her place and loss of it, and the depression shows through the stark, straight language.

I'm starting to swoon.
