The character development is just plain bad, everything goes by so fast, I don't know how the author even filled up all the pages. She takes like 3 paragraphs to describe anything the character goes through and UGH

The husband is getting a little too over the top with the anonymous thing, but Lila makes it clear that she's had it too; and once she says something, it seems like Sam does want her to be happy, he's just still a little selfish

The time skips in this book are very confusing, I never know when it's taking place until pages into the chapter when it's forced in somewhere. It's really annoying

I needed a break and after finishing Cruel Crown, I'm a little more open to this book. It's mostly serving as a way to fall asleep, but I'm getting through it

Corianne's story was just so enthralling, but Farley's is just kind of boring. I don't really understand the coded message stuff, and it's kind of redundant to show how she meets mariners and everything, I don't think it's adding much

Just finished Queen Song. Lots of foreshadowing for Cal and what he did and probably what he'll go through. It's great to see how Elara destroyed Corianne, and how she's just evil, no justification at all, it's amazing to see
