The constant “ooOOOOoooh what did she DO??” is pretty annoying at the end of almost every chapter, but the conflicting emotions are really strong when it comes to her daughter. Mark’s still kind of a boring character, and the calf thing was dumb cheesy. I still don’t know if I really even like Helena, but at least she’s intriguing. I don’t think they will, but I really hope they don’t end up together or something

The character is bitchy, but constantly calling her bitchy and pointing out how distant she is doesn’t make her any more interesting. I do want to know more about her story, though, just don’t know if it’s worth dealing with this writing style. I don’t mind the switch between perspectives, but going from 1st to third so jarringly is weird

Incredibly interested in this girl, though her life goes by so fast. I love seeing what she’s so fascinated by and what seems natural to her
