Past the halfway mark I still don't see the larger mystery of the Curse of the silent sister growing any more sinister or any light being thrown on this. We are still traveling to the North dealing with death and debauchery in equal measures - occassionally wenching, drinking a lot and generally getting to like Snorri quite a lot. Jalan, time to pull up your socks.

Oh its like home-coming. Back to the days of dark and bloody violence in the grim Broken Empire. Machinations of the Death King, Red Queen, Sorcery and Skull-cracking. It's glorious - I am slowly starting to like Jalan.

Too many characters!! Info dump galore. sigh.

I am still undecided on this one - Till now other than the mystery surrounding the nameless 'Admiral' and his voice, there's been nothing unique. But the reading is pretty easy and am going with the flow here.

Oh what a thrill-ride this one's turned out to be! Crackling Magic set in Gangsta 1920's. And a beautifully realized lovestory in the middle of this chaos! Thumbs up. Racing to the finish now.

Stories of Shev and Javre are fascinating. The older characters from First Law somehow seem incomplete in these stories!

Oh what a crackling tale. This one is even more intense than part-two, if it were even possible!! Phew. Falcio, I bleed for you, my man!

Oh what a surefire way to kick things off in high gear. Murdering a Saint! Jeez.

My God, this tale is pretty lush! The world of Ia is beautifully described, layered and complex. Massive, massive world building!!

Been on my radar for a long time now - Have taken the plunge. The world-building is epic, bordering on dense. Too many races, the political maneuvering and the history of this world feels pretty deep and well etched out. Still not connected yet to Indris or the other lead characters but am willing to go with the flow! Hopefully things start to unravel.

Paused this book for now. No depth to the storytelling - and the lead character flat out refuses to keep me engaged. Sorry Celestine, going to the backburner for now.

I wrapped up Abhaya's 1st chapter in book-two of Wheels of Janani. And i love the way it has evolved! Look forward to more Abhaya Samanna people.
