gonna be honest: i’m getting really tired of the naive-wife-marries-distant-husband-and-the-sex-is-painful-and-horrible narrative. surely we can tell stories about women without always resorting to telling the same one. it’s so overdone at this point its lost all poignancy for me.

is anyone else struggling to read this year? so many books have come out that i'm incredibly excited about, but as soon as i have the chance to read them, i ignore them completely. i hope it gets easier with at least ONE huge stress gone...i miss the days when i read 3 books in a week.
