Goddamn, I'd read a million books about Manon and the Thirteen. I love them with all my heart and, tbh, care about them more than Aelin.

Oh, this book is so angsty, but the writing is so lovely and it all makes my heart hurt.

I absolutely adore this so far, but one thing I especially love is how unapologetically complicated and gray the characters are. Ah! I can't even describe it. This is just so wonderful.

I'd forgotten how creative and different Sanderson is. He's one of the most original fantasy writers in terms of magic conceits and worldbuilding, so much so in fact that this is getting wonderfully trippy. What is happening? I don't know. But I love every second of it.

This book is so insane, but in a great way.

Every time I try to type what I'm thinking about this, I can't order my thoughts. Instead just imagine excited screaming. I hope I'm this pumped for the next 416 pages, lmao.

I know objectively that I really like this book so far - the amorality of the characters is just delicious - but ugh, I'm in the worst reading slump and I have no motivation to continue it.
