Same feelings as during the first read. Nothing much happens all book apart from few EPIC sequences until the story becomes freaking EPIC and rolls forward with incredible pace. The Sanderson Avalanches are truly something else but I can't help but criticize the length of his Stormlight Archive books. He packs a lot but personally, the slow pace is sometimes off-putting.

On my first couple of reads, all characters' chapters were interesting.

But this time around, I can't seem to invest in Dalinar's arc because it is just not enticing when I already know it all. Meanwhile, for Kaladin's chapters arc, I'm reading with the same enthusiasm as if it is the first time.

Strange though, because Dalinar's arc furthers the overarching story than Kaladin's.

“But you’re my kind!” said Carrot desperately.

“In a manner of speaking, yes,” said his father. “In another manner of speaking, which is a rather more precise and accurate manner of speaking, no."

I somehow lost interest and haven't read this books for a couple of weeks now. Not sure if it was the book itself or me, but I'm abandoning this. :|

Wow. Remarkably, nothing happened so far. Nothing! This story better get somewhere quick, it is already almost half way in.

Weird shit is afoot! I'm looking forward to the revelation which should come at some point in the story about all the weird stuff happening and the weird little nuggets of information sprinkled here and there and compare it with my theory (which is not imaginative, it is a least-effort, most-obvious theory from the evidence left behind by the author)

I'm never deleting the audiobook from my phone and I'm never going to delete the kindle version from my phone.

Seinfeld's comedy is right up my alley. I know my alleys.

Why! What is happening!

The language used for Isserley's POV is suspicious, almost teasing me to give more weight to my speculations and theories.

Nah. I want to read the book now. I don't own the physical copies, I've read these on my mobile earlier. So, what I did instead of continuing with the audiobook or read from the mobile app where the book is already available is that I ordered all 3 books from Amazon, the split-book editions along with pre-ordering Rhythm of War (which is a single book edition). WoK part 2 is unavailable. I like the white + red covers

I only have a vague idea about this book. But from what I remember when adding it to TBR years ago, it had some weird, kafkaesque, twisted nature to the story, or something of the sort I think.

Trying to get back to daily reading, I'm picking up books around 300 pages or less (anything longer seems daunting presently). I have a used copy of this and I'm also trying to improve the read/unread ratio of books I own.

I will 'try' to refresh my memory of the story so far by listening to Graphic Audio's audiobooks. These are audio books are abridged, cinematic productions of the books (music, bg noises, battle noises, etc).

I'm not interested in re-reading these tomes now (I'm afraid I might be tired of how information-stuff Stormlight Archive books are, maybe its temporary, maybe not). Looking forward to 'Rhythm of War' in Nov.

Interesting. The chapters are very short, most are one or two pages only. So far. It can't keep up like this I guess but the way the story is being told, this is a great way to begin I guess.

I don't remember the story of Twilight at all, except for few character details etc. This feels a little like Twilight, maybe not so YA-ish because there are adult POV along with YA POV. Let's see.

Finding the book cover amusing (there is a bottle of blood among milk bottles and this is supposed to be a vampire story, I think?), I read the blurb and chose to buy it. Well, that was not the only reason. I stayed for 2 hours in the used books store & picked only 4 haiku books from over 100000 books on sale(dizzying but also disappointing). So felt guilty and bought this. Looking forward to reading this now though
