Saving the final story for tomorrow night when I’m not as tired since it’s written by one of my favorite authors. 💜

I take back what I said with my last update. I absolutely hated the two stories I read tonight 🙊

I think this may be one of the best short story collections I’ve ever read. Most of the stories are really enjoyable.

One of the booktubers I was most excited to see in this collection was Sasha Alsberg but I ended up hating her prompt and essay :(

I was so busy with comic con the past few days that I couldn’t find the time to read so only just now starting this one tonight 💜

I just do not care about this book at all anymore 😅

The thing that annoys me most about this book is that the reason why Eris is being sued has no standing if you look at it past the surface level, so I have no “is she going to get sued or is she not?” tension/worry and without that worry, I can’t get emotionally invested in the story :/

I’m getting massive secondhand embarrassment whenever Hermes speaks, especially when he says “babes”

This one is called ‘successors’ and I’m already crying because that title is hinting toward one of my favs dying :(

“The Weight of Fifty Wings” wrecked me and I still feel like there’s more heartbreak to come

Why do I feel like either Iris or Roman is going to die by the end of the book? 😭

I feel like everything is going to turn to chaos soon and I’m stressed

I got this book the day it released but I was saving it to be my first read of 2024 🩵

For someone so smart, she doesn’t always use her brain. Like no shuck he was burying something. 🙃

I’m not really sure which Nancy Drew books I’ve read and which I haven’t. Whoops. 🙈 But I don’t think I’ve read this one. I’ve been craving more Nancy Drew since the TV series has ended. The CW really managed to revive my Nancy Drew obsession.

I forgot I preordered this one until it showed up on my front porch on release day. Best surprise ever 🩵

I can’t wait to be done with this mess of a book tomorrow. Someone needs to fix my brain so that I can actually dnf books without the dnf haunting me for the rest of my life 😩

No way this man asked her if she had body image issues when she ordered salad and she replied with “I just like lettuce.” What the heck am I even reading??💀

This might be the book for you if you want to read amazing quotes like:

“She had eyes like a beagle puppy, big and brown and soft. If I were her dad I'd have moved to the Antarctic with her by now. Keep her in layers of goose down and feed her whale fat.”

Or

“There are days when I would gladly sell all three of my moronic brothers into slavery for a mozzarella stick.”

Well this book is terribly written and problematic so far

I feel like this is going to be one of three options: 1. Laughably bad. 2. Uncomfortable and unpleasant. 3. A hidden gem.

Let’s see how this goes…

This would’ve been so cool as an episode of the show

The previous Doctor Who novel I read was a dud, but this one is really good so far. It has tons of fun chemistry between the characters and a really fun mystery. It’s making me miss Capaldi’s era of Doctor Who. 💙

Oh so he’s a cheater, too, and not just a groomer. I trusted this author so much and I thought she’d never write any of this type of stuff, but here we are 😭

I’m going to wake up from this nightmare soon and realize that Katia Rose didn’t actually write this book, right?? She’s literally giving a redemption arc to a groomer in this book. Cole was 20 when he swooped in to save 16 year old Roxy. He waited until she was an adult before they got together, but he freaking still thought of her as “innocent” and “child like.” I’m going to be sick

From the previous three books in this series, this couple already seems really toxic, but if anyone can pull off a healing/redemption arc for this couple, it would be Katia Rose 🤞🏻

This book feels longer than it needs to be and it’s starting to cause the story to drag a bit
