Goodreads needs to stop deleting reviews for simply mentioning an author’s behavior. We need some way to be able to warn each other when an author does something that’s harmful to the bookish community. Ugh, my patience is being tested with this dang app.

I appreciate what this book is trying to do but it’s reading like an academic research paper and it’s making it really hard to get into the book.

Nononononono Izzy, you did not just learn the truth and still let him fuck you. Where’s that internal dialogue saying you were worried for your safety?? That should be the only reason, right? You wouldn’t just learn all that about him and still willingly fuck him, right?? I rarely cuss but this book is making me so angry that I feel like I’m cussing a lot more while reading it 😓

Holy shit. Fuck all the men in this book. I knew it would be bad, but that manipulative stuff is pushing me over the top. I’m so freaking glad I got away from the guy who groomed me before our relationship turned into one like Isabel and Connelly’s

This book feels so real. It feels like I’m reading a biography or memoir as opposed to fiction

Do you think the potion makes people hallucinate or relive their worst memories? Dumbledore at one point says “it’s all my fault, all my fault” while he’s suffering from the potion and that made me think of Ariana. Like maybe he’s reliving her death or a fight with someone after the death?

I don’t know what’s wrong with me but I always get emotional when Harry says “Be brave like my mother, Professor”

I always forget how freaking annoying McLaggen is in the books

As much as Harry isn’t fond of Slughorn, he does tell Harry a lot of things about Lily that Harry never knew before…

Part of me has always wondered if Pansy would’ve turned out differently if she didn’t have such a huge crush on Draco. Was she truly evil? Or did she just want to make Draco like her more?

I always get the sense that Slughorn would be the type of person who’d say “I’m not racist, I have a black friend” or “I’m not homophobic, my friend is gay” 🙃

One of my predictions was correct and another looks like a strong possibility. I hate that I’m getting good at predicting plot twists 🫠

I have some predictions. I’m really hoping I’m wrong because I was annoyed that I was able to predict the plot twist in book 9 😅

-Steve is the father of Annie’s baby
-That kid who visited the cirque was getting intel to share with Steve
-The kid gave his cirque ticket to Tom
-Tom is working with Steve (or at least he was approached to work for Steve - it might be a front to save Darren)

Are you freaking kidding me??? There better be some surprise happy ending because I did not read the whole story just for that to happen
