Up to "The Eye of Apollo" by G. K. Chesterton. Personally, I hate the Father Brown stories, so I'll just be getting through this one by force of will.

Up to "The Dead Hand" by R. Austin Freeman.

Up to Bartholomew Fair by Ben Jonson.

Up to the final section, Section V: "The North Africans". It contains selections from Apuleius, Tertullian, and St. Augustine, but I'll be reading the latter two first because I dislike Tertullian's fanaticism, so St. Augustine will be a welcome relief from Tertullian, and Apuleius will be an enjoyable alternative to both.

Up to Section IV, "The Imperial Peace", featuring Quintilian, Martial, Pliny, Juvenal, Tacitus, and Suetonius.

Up to Chapter VII, "John Bellingham's Will".

Up to Volpone, or The Fox by Ben Jonson, my favorite Jonson play. Every Man in His Humour was very funny.

Up to The Honorable History of Friar Bacon and Friar Bungay by Robert Greene. Now that I've seen Upstart Crow, I can't help but imagining Mark Heap saying "mine own sublime Friar Bacon and Friar Bungay". I just watched the series 2, episode 4 show "Food of Love", where it was name-dropped in scene that also contained, so the credits tell me, Edmund Spenser, Thomas Nashe, and Thomas Kyd.

Finished all the Marlowe plays. Now up to Endymion, the Man in the Moon by John Lyly.

Finished The Jew of Malta, and now on to Edward II, the last of the four Christopher Marlowe plays in this anthology.

Finished Tamburlaine, Part One and Doctor Faustus (which was fantastic—probably my favorite Marlowe play) and am now up to The Jew of Malta.

Up to Part II: The Augustans, which begins with Virgil.

Up to Caesar in the section "The Republicans".

Read Alcestis, The Cyclops, and The Trojan Women since I last left an update. Now I have only The Bacchae and Medea to go.

Finished Hippolytus, which was a heartbreaking play.
