crazy thriller straight up lile a blockbuster style movie

Ah, this feels good as a fit, the writing & pace of dialogue flows well, already I’ve a sense of what is going on, when, & what we’re dealing with: people dying on a battlefiled and their spirits continuing on to communicate. I like that the author writes out not the person’s every feeling but rather what’s occurring, the stage direction.

sometimes it's challenging to accept that this book, this long, ~350 pg book, is being slogged through & read at all. names often befuddle the details. in English, it's clear when M does that to J. From J's angle, M has done it (that). To say that J saw M do that is to write ___? So, it might look like, J (first person mentioned) ha (pronounced 'wa'), M ga ... (does that). Strange & dubious.

alirght, well the author’s still lavishing the ways to spel out that Roger likes words & Dodger likes math, but we get no words of wisdom from Roger, no quotes or philosophies or any display that he actually likes reading—& Dodger is just being sterotyped, or whatever, the author probably knows nothing of math but is writing a character who loves math, so what we get is this imaginary, forced, false portrait

This book frustrates: there's potential for a good story. So far, the 1st quarter of the book has been boring, just introducing who Roger & Dodger are. Wish there were more of Reed & Leigh, b/c thru them can be glimpsed the greater world in which R & D live. The Frankenstein concept works, & it's interesting, esp w/the other pairs, how they turned out. This is the science stuff of the sci fi & I'd like more.
