There’s too much inhuman stuff with the MC that it’s kinda overkill. Guy’s like Deadpool, but the story is brooding & pensive

Think I might enjoy this—didn’t know it was a novel, was thinking/expecting non fiction sociology

Some bloody stuff that is nonchalantly portrayed. MC is kinda like Wolverine, but more like a freak-monster with a conscience. Basically unkillable. Orson Scott Card is doing his usual pensive writing, pausing to think, rue & muse, but also wielding stories & plots that stretch beyond boundaries.

Pretty revealing questionnaires: How nervous/anxious are you when competing in sports? Very cool that this aspect of performance is studied!

Lol I think women might guffaw at this or just shake their head in distaste! Card makes a BIG deal outta a man turning into a woman, basically an exercise in What would it be like to be a woman? But of course from a man’s angle!

Audio booking this, and it’s really neat, because Orson Scott card gave an introduction, and explained that it is better to experience this book by listening to it, so kudos to me for taking this audiobook, and he even expresses his desire to have this translated into a movie. Awesome!

Had to pause this b/c it was overdue at library :/ But yea, it’s kinda overly analytical but I think I can benefit if only I can gain familiarity w/his scheme of System 1 & System 2
