I love how entangled this story is getting. Best work on character perspective and dialogue.

The detailed analysis of binding for specific medications is very helpful for clarifying side effects and risk factors. The discussion of switching between pines, dones, and pips was surprisingly intuitive.

I wish the section on treatment resistant psychosis was longer. I'm also hopeful they'll revisit antimania action in later chapters, since it seemed glossed over in favor of antipsychotic action.

The chapter on neurobiological underpinnings of schizophrenia did a good job of systematically outlining the progression of hypotheses and the interrelationships between Glutamate systems and Dopamine systems.

I like the balance of the manic and grounded characters. The incremental reveals work well, and there's just enough exposition to build the world without expecting prior knowledge.

Done! The ending was satisfying, and the epilogue as splendid. I likee how the themes around violence, choice, and purpose threaded together. The humor, as always, was excellent.

The "Amateur" chapter is excellent. Between the discussions of hegemony in music and the ways in which music creation builds identity and problem solving, it really ties together the major ideas of the book.

As someone who doesn't go to clubs, it's a bit hard to get into the nuances of the scene chapter. Still, it has some neat ideas.

The financial chapter is a great analysis of contact issues.

I like how collaboration is a constant theme in this book.

The chapter detailing how recording had essentially democratized through the improvements of home recording had some cool stuff, but feels unnecessarily long and filled with anecdotes.

The chapter on curation feels shallow in comparison to earlier sections. I would like more connection to how people choose music, and how that's changed over time. - more depth, and less speculation about whether algorithms will help us find new music. The argument for including contextual information with digital sources does make a lot of sense.

I never realized just how much music storage technology places the composition and use of music.
