Cray finds himself in some hot water as the accusations begin flying all over the place. His assertion that he found the killer is disproven, only to have him facing a great deal of blowback. Some outside the box thinking sends Cray on his next journey, outside the United States, where he must locate a killer who has blended in, not only with their profession, but with the locals, killing at will and covering it up!

While the unrest in Kenya appears to be building, there is another hunt that is sure to keep the reader on their toes. Saffron has been trying to locate her brother-in-law, if only to ensure he cannot continue to spread the Nazi sentiment in post-war Europe. Her life is surely in jeopardy and pulling on her family's name will not be enough to keep her safe. Still, visiting her loved ones offer new hope for the hunt.

Cray soon realises that he may have taken something out of context and acted slightly irrationally. Now, he is facing legal action that could really put him into a pickle. If that were not enough, evidence that he has been testing himself for HYDE comes to light and the DoD takes drastic action of their own. Cray must turn to someone who has been a support to him for years in hopes that he can pick up the pieces.

After being infected with an unknown air-borne pathogen, Dr. Theo Cray feels off his game. He is not firing on all cylinders and seems to have lost his edge. However, when he is handed a case in Baton Rouge, he heads south to help locate a killer nurse, whose handiwork spans decades. With a number of children having died on his watch, Cray is sure he can connect the dots. This may be tougher than he thought, for now!

While there is still a push to drum up support for removing the British yoke over Kenyans, there is also trouble brewing in Germany. While the country has been divided in two, the Nazi veterans are seething about how they have been stifled by two dichotomous ideological superpowers. There are some who would stop at nothing to push for national socialism again, taking bloodshed as a needed action for success. Onwards!

As Cray learns more about what causes this so-called raging homicidal behaviour, he is also tipped off that there are troubles back at his lab in Texas. While that may be true, Cray must lure the killer out to act, so as to trap him/her soon. Laying the groundwork for the ultimate trap, Cray does something even more troubling than usual. He also determines that there is a cerebral infection he calls HYDE at work!

In a post-WWII period, all eyes turn to a world that seeks to rebuild, or at least redefine itself. Wilbur Smith peers across the European continent and taps into the sentiment about an end to colonial rule, permitting countries to lick their wounds and cast off the shackles of past territorial greed. The African continent is rife with desired independence, especially Kenya. However, for some it is a British gem!

Computational biologist Theo Cray has his hands full with work sponsored by the DoD, but is keen to help when the FBI seek his help with an odd double homicide. After making his way to the scene of the crime, he learns that a forensic technician has been taken into custody. He’s acting completely out of sorts, in ways that his colleagues cannot match with the calm man. A brain scan reveals something that shocks Cray!

As Whittaker probes a little deeper, she discovers that not everything is as it seems and that the instinctual issues may not be entirely natural. There is an underlying cause in Silvertown, but whether this will be used on a larger scale has yet to be determined. While Whittaker has plans to enlighten others about what she's discovered, it will not be as easy as she hopes, as eyes are watching her every move. Eerie!

Professor Theo Cray is still buzzing from his work in Montana, but trying to keep a low profile. Having left academia and now with a company seeking to do some AI work, Cray finds himself pigeonholed by those who want to use his abilities for their own good. When a man approaches Cray to help locate his missing son in LA, Cray wonders if this is what his life has become. He agrees to look briefly, sure it’s nothing.

As Officer Whittaker examines what’s going on, she begins to see that no one seems to be acting as they should. Instinct is off and this means people are surely being affected by something. She probes into possible cell tower interference, but gets nowhere. It does not seem as though pollution of the water is possible and things are too widespread for it to be pharmacological. Still, something is off in Silvertown!

Things in Silvertown continue to go off the rails, but in the most subtle manner. A woman is seen in town without her twins, who are reported to be at home, screaming and alone. A reliable woman who volunteers in the police department disappears with a bunch of out of state bikers with a penchant for weed. What is going on and why are people's internal beacons apparently not working? Might something be skewing them?

Silvertown is a small Washington community that has seen its population plummet after a major industry left the area. The locals rely on a police force of two, one of whom is off on leave. A single officer, new to the area, finds herself investigating a number of odd deaths; things that make no sense on the surface. However, there is something inexplicable taking place and it is not worth ignoring... or is it? Eerie!

As things get a little more anxious, Theo takes it upon himself to try a scientific experiment to determine if he can get inside the killer’s head. His calculations and use of data extrapolation leads to the discovery of another body, that of a young woman who was deemed missing. However, the killer is still covering their tracks, making it look as though it is an animal attack, however, there is surely a clue.

Theo Cray is an academic and scientist like no other. He deals in patterns that few others can decipher as a computational biologist. When he is initially suspected in the death of one of his former students, he shows how it was likely the work of a bear. When the authorities see the error of their ways, Cray looks a little deeper and sees that he was wrong. There's a killer who used nature to hide the crime! Eerie!

With the teenage girl located and under some surveillance, the mystery of her reappearance continues to baffle many. The girl’s mother remains gone and those who are aware remain uncertain how it is all taking place. Meanwhile, someone has a plan to keep things under wraps, from the authorities and anyone else who may be around. This is one massive mystery and it will take keen detection to solve. Time is limited!

An eerie piece that is anything but predictable. Passenger 23 is the term used for those who disappear without a trace on cruises, presumed to have fallen overboard. When a young girl who has been missing for two months and presumed dead appears on an ocean liner bound for NYC, the crew panic. A German detective is summoned on board for other reasons but soon finds himself trying to solve the mystery himself. Hmm!

While there is some excitement in the Warwick world, it is the undercover work that William is undertaking that poses the most excitement. Art heists and some sneaky folks within Scotland Yard prove that there are some dirty coppers who must be removed quickly. William does all he can without showing his hand, but it is by no means an easy feat. Will he have a job once this is all over, or simply enemies? Onwards!

At trial., the other Warwicks do their best to nail a drug dealer and trafficker to the wall for his role in distribution. However, it is not as easy as it looks, particularly with a slick defense set to distance anyone from seeming to have done anything wrong. The intent is to smear DI Warwick as best they can, though someone will have to slip-up soon. Behind the scenes, artwork shipped to NYC may prove some crimes.

William Warwick is back, prepared to accept responsibility for much of the fallout surrounding a scandalous case. Ready to toss in the towel, Warwick is convinced to help out and work within the force to find those who needing outing; cops that are leaks. All the while, he must appear to be working the drug case he’s just helped foil, while being an undercover agent for his superiors. Much to be done in short order.

Angelina Bonaparte is keeping herself busy with some great PI files, when her assistant announces that there is news with someone they have been tracking. A man who up and disappeared on his family six years ago has emerged and died, an obituary in one of the local papers. Bonaparte makes some calls and learns that the man has been living under an assumed name and ended up in a shelter. But why and what led to death?

Angelina Bonaparte is back sleuthing and getting herself neck-deep in a murder investigation. When she is handed a case to investigate a mysterious inheritance a young Serbian woman receives, Bonaparte takes the challenge without concern. How a couple that ran a small hardware store could have been sitting on so large a fortune is baffling. When a woman ends up dead, Bonaparte learns someone is trying to cover-up.

When a mysterious message appears in a man's text inbox, he is baffled and slightly concerned. Further oddities, including a smear sex video, leave him worried that he is being targeted by someone looking to dismantle his career. Elsewhere, odd dragonfly drones appear to a series of others, offering them the sober glimpse into the world of surveillance when they least expect it. Unique piece, unsure where it leads.

Bonaparte receives some threatening notes left in her office. While it does spook her, she's not about to stop her investigation. There is much to learn about the victim and her varied connections for the variety of reasons. Could this be a lover's quarrel? Might someone be upset by money garnered through various means? Could the victim hold some secrets that were used as blackmail? Bonaparte has a lot to consider.

As DeMarco digs a little deeper, he begins to wonder if the murder in Wyoming might be tied to something his friend saw. Poking around, DeMarco discovers access to her writing and a journal that might explain it all, including the murder of a BLM protester. While DeMarco begins looking into it all, he ruffles some feathers and becomes persona non grata by some, while the local FBI is intrigued. Cover-up going on?

Joe DeMarco may work off the books for the Speaker of the House of Reps., but he also has a life of his own. When a friend and former lover turns up dead in Wyoming, he is not sure that it was a burglary gone bad. The victim is an author, purportedly in the state for inspiration and research, though DeMarco thinks that there is more to the story. Pulling some congressional strings, he gets an in with the locals.

Angelina Bonaparte (‘ay” as the last syllable) has been through a great deal, both as a PI and in her personal life. While she is well-versed in cheating husbands, it is always a challenge when she is tasked with keeping an eye on one. When her client turns up dead and the husband is the prime witness, Bonaparte does all she can to look into it, sure that he could not have done the deed. But, only time will tell!

With the trial underway, Arthur sets about putting the chemical company on trial, rather than defending his clients in the traditional way. There is a lot of science through which to wade, though accusations of falsified reports and downplaying results are front and centre throughout much of the testimony. Arthur finds a certain study of great interest and travels stateside to learn more about it to bolster the case.

Bree continues to panic about how to get |Robert back, agreeing to a daring plan to help save her son. Things go wrong and a man ends up dead, but still Robert is not returned. Bree confides in others and another case comes to light, one in which a family was torn apart by a kidnapped child. When Bree and her friends dig a little deeper, they find quite the connection and a possible motive for the kidnappings. Eerie!

As the trial approaches, Arthur has a lot on his plate, not the least of which being a wildlife fiasco back in Garibaldi. However, he is able to split his time and prepare for the case, which will push him to his limits. While some of the early witnesses do not prove to be all that challenging, there will be times when a single slip-up can cause major damage. Arthur must be on point, while fending off the doubters.
