Reading one chapter at a time and even then not really as fast as I'd like. My concentration has been lacking a bit these past weeks, hence having to take it slow. Then again, reading is not a competition.

Ariel Holzl: 2-3/5. Some Romani words, unfortunately without translation.

Thibaud Latil-Nicolas: 4/5; a bit heavy (style, wording) in the beginning, more fluent later on. No idea if this story is related to his trilogy, which I haven't read.
Rachel Tanner: 4/5.

Two stories done, so far so good, really. Most of them are only +/- 10 pages long, a few a about 20-30 pages.

For those of you with whom I'm friends on Facebook... FB had locked my profile last Saturday (truly no idea why), hence it's not visible anymore, but it still exists. I can log in, receive (by e-mail) recovery codes and notifications, but nothing more. FB insists that I send (which I won't) an ID-document that confirms it's really me. I've filled out one of their forms, but so far no answer.

Heavy, yet interesting read; taking it slowly, part by part. Must have (a good basic) foreknowledge on the Viking age in England/UK to be able to follow.

Leest best vlot, maar de omstandigheden laten het momenteel niet. Ook is het m.i. beter dit boek niet in een ruk te lezen, maar af en toe een hoofdstuk.

Maybe it's been too long since I last read a BC novel, maybe the current circumstances are of influence, but so far... I'm not as enthusiastic as before. Reasons: a little too light, too much filling, and some exaggerated niceties. I get it, that's her trademark, positive, fluffy SF, but here I find it a little overdone, somehow. Maybe the story gets better halfway or over halfway.

Interesting journey through man's history so far. Two parts done, two more to go.

Finally started this bestseller, but I'll read it in bits and pieces, one theme at a time, taking turns with something fictional.

One chapter at a time, as there are eight chapters/themes, each +/-30-40 pages. The style, however sophisticated, doesn't allow for a smooth reading. Style and theme demand that you pay attention. But I'm liking it so far, have learnt quite a lot.
