Reading goes slow these days, as life intervenes each time. Interesting takes on various aspects of work/having a job, be it from the fictional side or the scientific side. Not every researcher can explain his/her theme as clear as an author, though. Partly because of grand, but vague words that may mean something to experts, but not to the general public, which this book is written for.

Reading goes slow these days, as life intervenes each time. Still, enjoying th reading, though at this point, my previous GGK reads prevail: Tigana, The Lions, Last Light.

2nd season done: Midsummer. There's a festival with games, troubadours & joglars continue to play a role. However, more political intrigues and deceptions, even family-related. Quite exciting.

So far, quite intriguing and beautifully written. No dramatis personae, though, so one must keep one's attention to remember who's who.

3/14 so far, quite disappointing so far. :/

7/15 done. 8 to go. So far, all's well. Qualitative Bordage here.

4/15 stories done. Liking it so far.

5 stories of 13 read: 2 not so good, 3 good to very good. Points so far: 3/5.

first part done; reading this book in-between other ones. So far, not bad, though I would have like a bit more distinction between the various characters or rather "populations" (Romans, Brikanti, ...), also language-wise. The ColU remains the most sympathetic character, though. ;-)

Steadily catching up, as other books were more of a priority. But it's refreshing to read some space SF after so much fantasy. My first Baxter, but I'm liking it quite a lot so far. The short chapters also make it a page-turner.

So far, after 6 stories, a bit disappointed, I must say. Only 2-3 stories so far to my liking.
