In case you didn’t hear, my literary theme for January was “Star Trek”.

For the month of February, I am doing a theme I’ve never done before: SUPERWOMEN!

There are plenty of strong, spunky, and smart heroines within the world of literature…and I’m going to read about them!

Since I’m single—always have been, and probably always will be—these literary ladies can be my “dates” for Valentine’s Day!

Quentin Blake's inane cartoony illustrations do not go with this, especially since it's a collection of true stories rife with photos.

This is the most alarming book I've read in quite a while, if not ever!

I thought I had finished this series...until I discovered that I had accidentally skipped this volume! Oops!

APRIL FOOL’S!

My literary theme for this month is actually Christian fiction.

Also, my three shows are “The Chosen,” “When Calls the Heart,” and “The Bible”.

(Did some of you really think that I would watch such shows or read textbooks for fun?)

Ahh...nothing like an old favorite!

My literary focus for this month is...TEXTBOOKS!

Also, my shows for April are "Barney & Friends," "Teletubbies," and "Sesame Street"!

I know that sounds crazy, but you know me; haven't I always been one to do something different?

I have owned and read multiple copies of this book over the past two decades...

...but, imagine my surprise when my current copy, which I bought at a garage sale last year, was autographed by Mr. Myers himself!

Today is the day I switch my reading focus.

January's literary focus was "Star Trek"; February's will be superheroes. My local libraries have plenty of DC and Marvel collections, as well as some prose novels inspired by their comics.

I chose that theme to fight the usual focus of the month; because of Valentine's Day, February tends to be a bit too lovey-dovey...so, I'm doing something completely different.

Today is the last Saturday of the month, which means that I get to switch my literary focus tomorrow; I've already decided that my theme for January will be "Star Trek," an old favorite.

Between the books, the music, and the movies I've been surrounded with lately, as well as the usual traditions, I am about Christmas-ed out; so, this switch doesn't come a moment too soon.

I've seen all of the episodes multiple times. I watched the movie. I've read all of the novels, some more than once, and several of the Cine-Manga adaptations. Now, what else is left? The audiobooks!

I wouldn't even know this existed if it hadn't been for a random search on the Apple Books store! Thank goodness for modern technology!
