awkward, clunky writing so far, "After the cops left I walked to my apartment. I thought I had no carbohydrates in the house, but I found a taco kit." feels like reading a list.

cringefest. actually physically recoiling during dialogue.

I'm captivated. I wasn't at first but I am now.

Unreliable narrators are my favorite. So far it's good, it little erratic, all over the place - but I'm thinking that's the point. It isn't bad, but it isn't the greatest just yet.

It's slow so far.

This book is AMAZING thus far. Scary, overwhelmingly emotional.. I love it

So far I like it. The writing is easy to read, the story is moving at a good pace. I like Wade -- I enjoy that he isn't the ~typical teenage lead. He's mentioned he's shorter, overweight and acne prone. Your regular teenager. All the niche 80 references are cool, but I didn't live through the 80's and some of it goes over my head. You can tell the author was alive and nostalgic.

So far so good. I enjoy the idea of this book, the execution is all right. I feel as though the author repeats the same metaphors every few pages or so. Sometimes it's even on the same page. But I like the writing, there isn't one plot with a climax like you would find in most books - it's all over the place , like the author explains how death is, which is different but not a bad thing.
