Not been able to read any fiction in 2020. Plus the central protagonist here does exactly what I do!

For an avid cricket fan with conflicting feelings for T20, and IPL in particular, this book can be mind-blowing. It seems to make a case for Cricket 2.0. It is subtly convincing.
More than anything else though it shows how traditions can become dogmas.
So glad to have purchased this book (and proud of the purchasing experience - an aimless bicycle ride; a random stop at a bookstore; a instinctive purchase)

Drab.
Think that overwhelmed by the amount of information present in Da Vinci’s case, and accompanied by a constant reverence for this figure, author pieces together the story rather disappointingly.

Smart fail-safe principles which are so simple and obvious (and backed by a lot of data) that I thought everybody I knew would be following them - I was the only ignorant in the investor's community.
Not so.
The two books I am reading on money are trying to dissuade the pls-get-me-rich-soon readers from making simple but disastrous mistakes. You can do well financially if only you have patience, they say.

Some common sense principles that I could have learned from my father. But boy did I? Well, who listens to their fathers as a young person. You obviously know better than him at that age. You have travelled more, met more people, read more books. Thankfully, in my thirties, I am no longer that smug or deluded.
In this book, good Indian-middle-class-father advises: cut costs, save a lot, invest wisely.

So thoughtfully written, you have to read it slowly.
