if the last one was boring, at least it was intriguing. this one wasn't exactly boring but predicable so it fell flat. i was frowning and cringing half of the time bc the plot was just trying too hard, sort of like a well written badly planned fanfiction. on a minor note, the fact that it was divided by subtitles kind of erased the feel of reading a short story

what kind of father slaps his son for crying and breaking down at his mother's funeral.....

i don't know if there's anything specific i disliked; the writing style was nice, it's just the story wasn't really my cup of tea. also, the fact that miranda and fenny interacted since she was a child and he wasn't and then they became romantic kind of creeped me out

second chapter and people are already getting called out for racial slurs? nice

if this ever becomes a tv series, all i ask is that they dedicate at LEAST a full episode to the foxes-ravens match in detail i NEED to see how intense it would be on screen. holy crap i TREMBLE reading it
