Very slow building and lots of pieces of the puzzle being put out. Hard to keep track a little. But the world building is fantastic.

Hmmthe ending left me conflicted on wether I liked it or not.

Pretty sure I know where this story arc is going. I will be surprised if it doesn't do what I think it will.

Oh a random change in point of view. At least it isn't another random flash back I guess.

After a very slow start the story line is starting to move a bit more and get interesting.

This is where the stupid plan starts to go horribly wrong. How did no one see this coming?

Argh why is it necessary for teens that are in school, in fantasy books, have such a deep distrust of their teachers? Or a refusal to say the most obvious to the teacher they do like?

My opinion of Nona is dropping, is she really this blind to what's going on around her and getting help?

This is a terrible idea. It is going to go spectacularly wrong.

Peter is a hypocrite, he berates Noa for talking to the mayors son (who invited himself to the circus), saying she endangered everyone. But he then does an act mocking the Germans in German occupied territory.

I wonder how they are feeding Theo. They have mentioned it. Just seems odd.

So far this is slow story line with only a little bit of action. The mouse/cheese references are starting to annoy me. I still find the story hard to read out loud. But the kids still seem to like it.

So are they even going to discuss the knife?

I am beginning to think this is a sci-fi fantasy, not a straight fantasy.

So I'm guessing current best friend is probably the enemy and current enemy is probably going to be her new bestie.

Hmm two chapters where not much happened. The story seems to be slowing down a bit. At least the cheese references dropped. Guess it's hard to put a cheese reference in when your main character is being buried in sewage.

The font makes this book hard to read out loud. The simple story and cheese/mouse references continues. The cheese references are getting a little stale.

After a fight erupted over who was going to read hero mice book. The youngest got super hero mice and eldest got this one. He read the first chapter by himself.

Oh no! All the hero mice have been taken out except for Stilton who seems to have a case of scaredy mouse (his words not mine). Can he save the day?

The villains have struck! The super plants are attacking the innocent people. Lucky the hero mice are here. What will they do?

Oh my goodness I was crying with laughter from the story about her father.
